Proposed deletion |
Miscellany for deletion (MfD) is a place where Wikipedians decide what should be done with problematic pages in the namespaces which aren't covered by other specialized deletion discussion areas. Items sent here are usually discussed for seven days; then they are either deleted by an administrator or kept, based on community consensus as evident from the discussion, consistent with policy, and with careful judgment of the rough consensus if required.
A filtered version of the page that excludes nominations of pages in the draft namespace is available at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion no drafts.
Information on the process
What may be nominated for deletion here:
- Pages not covered by other XFD venues, including pages in these namespaces: Draft:, Help:, Portal:, MediaWiki:, Wikipedia: (including WikiProjects), User:, TimedText:, Gadget:, Gadget definition:, and the various Talk: namespaces
- Userboxes (regardless of namespace)
- Files in the File namespace that have a local description page but no local file (if there is a local file, Wikipedia:Files for discussion is the right venue)
- Any other page, that is not in article space, where there is dispute as to the correct XfD venue.
Requests to undelete pages deleted after discussion here, and debate whether discussions here have been properly closed, both take place at Wikipedia:Deletion review, in accordance with Wikipedia's undeletion policy.

Wikipedia:TalkAbuse
- Wikipedia:TalkAbuse (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs) – (View MfD)
Unclear what purpose this page serves. It is not tagged as an essay (or tagged at all), not in any categories, nor does it have any incoming links. The way this is written makes it look like a fragment of a discussion with another user, as if the author meant to post it on someone's talk page, but accidentally placed it in the Wikipedia namespace. Title is in WP:CAMEL for... some reason? The content is largely redundant to Wikipedia's policy pages on conduct and discussion, and there is no value in retaining this. silvia (BlankpopsiclesilviaASHs4) (inquire within) 12:25, 13 January 2023 (UTC)

- Delete as a moribund portal.--🌈WaltCip-(talk) 21:18, 10 January 2023 (UTC)
- Delete as an abortive portal. Not only is it not ready for mainspace, not even a decent portion of work to make it ready was completed, and I feel like there is at best minor potential that all of the work needed to get it ready will ever be completed. It would have needed activity of more than one user and more than one edit (ignoring linter error fix) to show potential. —Alalch E. 10:09, 11 January 2023 (UTC)
- Delete - This is an abortive portal. The proponents of portals have never explained what their purpose is, except to be technically neat, and possibly to have some mystical function, but this is technically broken. Robert McClenon (talk) 18:32, 11 January 2023 (UTC)

Draft:W2S
Non-notable and will most likely be the subject of continuous resubmission if ManyPosts continues socking (apologies if this isn't appropriate rational for an MfD, I'm unfamiliar with this deletion venue) ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 18:31, 10 January 2023 (UTC)
- Keep. I don't think this is the right venue as - per WP:NMFD, drafts don't have to demonstrate notability (non-notable drafts just don't get accepted into mainspace). Sometimes drafts get nominated at MfD where the same author keeps submitting a particular draft for review with no tangible improvement on the basis that this is Wikipedia:Tendentious editing, but that doesn't apply here. Yes, there's socking, but I see that's been dealt with. On the subject of notability, I think the core question is whether this Sidemen member is notable independently of the Sidemen, if not, the mainspace redirect from W2S to Sidemen (YouTube group) should remain. Curb Safe Charmer (talk) 20:54, 10 January 2023 (UTC)
- Weak Keep - The argument for deletion is that this draft is being tendentiously resubmitted by sockpuppets, and tendentious resubmission is a reason to delete a draft. However, it has been pointed out that this draft is a "honey pot", a lure for more sockpuppets, which can then be reported to SPI. Robert McClenon (talk) 18:39, 11 January 2023 (UTC)

I'm just acting as a middleman for CT55555. See below for their rationale. Firefangledfeathers (talk / contribs) 04:06, 10 January 2023 (UTC)
This user page looks like an article and I therefore think it could mislead people and should be deleted as per my understanding of WP:USERPAGE CT55555(talk) 04:10, 10 January 2023 (UTC)
It appears the janitors are more powerful then the content creators on Wikipedia. Fair assessment? Can you help with Draft:Council for Foreign and Defense Policy?
- Can you help with Draft:Council for Foreign and Defense Policy? User talk:CT55555 (e-mailed "them" for help on Doctor Lisa), User:Firefangledfeathers (created MFD) and User talk:DanCherek (Deleted comments on Doctor Lisa)?
Metro2fsb (talk) 04:30, 10 January 2023 (UTC)This comment by Metro2fsb is not contributing to the deletion discussion and is rather trying to recruit people to help with their editing, for which this is an inappropriate venue. As such I've struck this both because it's irrelevant and likely to confuse discussion participants. silvia (User:BlankpopsiclesilviaASHs4) (inquire within) 04:38, 11 January 2023 (UTC)
- Keep in the absence of a better reason for deletion. Robert McClenon (talk) 05:46, 10 January 2023 (UTC)
- This is my first time here, so I may be framing things wrong, but perhaps WP:FAKEARTICLE is the specific thing I should be quoting as justifying the deletion. Currently this looks like an article, but it is not. CT55555(talk) 05:49, 10 January 2023 (UTC)
Keep:This looks like a userspace draft on a legitimate topic. It should perhaps be moved to another title that indicates it is a draft, but I see no reason to delete this. Userspace and draftspace aren't indexed by web search engines and generally aren't found by regular readers unless people intentionally go looking for them, so there is no real concern about such things as this misleading people. See WP:RAGS. silvia (User:BlankpopsiclesilviaASHs4) (inquire within) 02:38, 11 January 2023 (UTC)- The linked essay questions why anyone would be looking at someone else's user space, and so by way of explanation it is because the user keeps tagging me in things, so I checked out who they are, and their user pages looks a lot like wikipedia page of a Russian Think Tank, which seems very weird to me, but I see consensus appears to be that people have can a user page that mimics a wikipedia article. That's strange to me, but I guess I'm learning something here. CT55555(talk) 03:04, 11 January 2023 (UTC)
It does seem somewhat at cross purposes that the user has opted to host their (presumed) WP:USERDRAFT on their main userpage rather than a separate subpage of their userspace such as I've done, so again, it should perhaps be moved elsewhere for that reason. But I don't see any deliberate effort to mislead here, or any other content violation- Metro2fsb could quite possibly simply not know how to make a user subpage. If that's the case, deletion is not the solution here. silvia (User:BlankpopsiclesilviaASHs4) (inquire within) 03:45, 11 January 2023 (UTC)

- Delete: It seems my initial read of the situation was mistaken. This userpage is a duplicate of Draft:Council for Foreign and Defense Policy, which was initially created by Metro2fsb in mainspace, but ultimately draftified due to a lack of adequate sources. Rather than try to seek out those sources and improve the draft themselves, Metro2fsb has apparently gone about attempting to recruit other users to improve the article for them (which is what nominator is evidently referring to when they say Metro "keeps tagging [them] in things"), and have duplicated the draft on their userpage as part of their efforts to promote it to other users (as can be seen by the request for others to add to it that is written at the top).
I can't and won't speak to the appropriateness of their editing, and that matter is outside the scope of this deletion discussion. But given this context, I can see that this is clearly an inappropriate use of their userpage, per WP:COPYARTICLE. As such, it should be deleted if it is not revised to something more suitable. silvia (User:BlankpopsiclesilviaASHs4) (inquire within) 04:20, 11 January 2023 (UTC) - Delete per nom and BlankpopsiclesilviaASHs4. — Sundostund mppria (talk / contribs) 17:48, 11 January 2023 (UTC)

- Keep G13 will deal with it if it isn't improved. That it fails NPOV is not a reason to delete a draft.-- Pawnkingthree (talk) 20:54, 12 January 2023 (UTC)
- Biographies of living persons need to adhere to NPOV, which entails lack of strong bias in either direction, and this page has serious promocruft (and at least one fake reference). —Alalch E. 01:54, 13 January 2023 (UTC)
- Keep: No reason to delete. It may be improved and considered for reintroduction into mainspace, or it may disappear to G13 and be forgot about. Either way, it's not (currently) a problem. silvia (BlankpopsiclesilviaASHs4) (inquire within) 01:55, 14 January 2023 (UTC)

The "Official Twitter" has a similar username (GloriaAnimator, without the "the") as the user, which strongly suggests this is a promotional article written by the game's creator, and there are no reliable secondary sources to otherwise justify its inclusion on Wikipedia.
