@Gerda Arendt: Can you believe this? All have articles on German Wikipedia like this. Red links are VERY important in terms of growth. That red link tag shouldn't even exist.♦ Dr. Blofeld 20:08, 21 June 2022 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of From Leadville to Aspen: A Hold-Up in the Rockies
![Notice](https://web.archive.org/web/20220706054613im_/https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/7/74/Ambox_warning_yellow.svg/48px-Ambox_warning_yellow.svg.png)
The article From Leadville to Aspen: A Hold-Up in the Rockies has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Lack of any notability, with only one source that briefly mentions the film.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Gabe114 (talk) 21:31, 23 June 2022 (UTC)
- @Gabe114: The article is tagged as a stub by both the Film and Westerns projects. When such an article is managed by a project (and in this case, noted as a mid-level importance article - something higher than "low" importance), it would be more productive to first reach out to that specific project before simply proposing deletion. Or better yet, work on improving the article and/or joining the project to assist in its work within the encyclopedia. Not that GNG don't apply to stubs in general, but all of the stubs in the Westerns project have been reviewed (more than once) by the project at large and noted as being capable of expansion (hence the tag on them). If you have a passion for film or westerns (or would just like to hone your editing skills), why not join one the projects to help? And when considering GNG, use more than just a Google search. Sometimes, as is the case with silent films, you have to go to more academic resources. When you have enough edits, consider joining the Wikipedia Library which can get you access to JSTOR and other academic sources. ButlerBlog (talk) 14:12, 24 June 2022 (UTC)
- Thank you so much for the tip. I will keep this in mind. Gabe114 (talk) 14:13, 24 June 2022 (UTC)
- @Gabe114: - Awesome! Thanks for taking the direction in the spirit in which it was intended (sometimes newer editors don't do that). One thing I could add here is that there are lots of other projects (besides the Film and Westerns I mentioned) that are always looking for help, so if there's something you're passionate about, projects are a good way to get involved in a more focused way. You can find a list at WP:PROJDIR. Of course that's not the only way to get more deeply involved. I hope you stick around and continue to be involved here - the only way we get more desperately needed experienced editors is for new editors to get involved and grow into experienced editors. Ernst Jacobi
Any chance that you could get some for Ernst Jacobi from his German article, using your German skills? --Gerda Arendt (talk) 21:53, 23 June 2022 (UTC)
Ah, he was the narrator of White Ribbon, great film. And Tin Drum from 1979. RIP Ernst. De entry is poorly sourced, I'll see if I can find some obituaries and decent articles.♦ Dr. Blofeld 08:28, 24 June 2022 (UTC)
- That would be great! - Too many who died, and the death of Christof May hit me hard. Requiem today, - I'd go if a larger space than the small church of his home town. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 09:00, 24 June 2022 (UTC)
- one more ref - I'm too tired to use it now. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 23:01, 27 June 2022 (UTC)
