The Nicholas Leonicus Thomaeus article
Hi. You blocked a New Jersey IP for making disruptive edits there. Now another New Jersey IP is making the same edit. The New Jersey IPs are obvious socks of User:Deucalionite who has been disrupting the article with IPs and confirmed sock accounts for years. Can you put semi-protection on the article for some time? Ktrimi991 (talk) 21:05, 29 June 2022 (UTC)
- You just lost the argument User:Sulmues. 72.90.175.221 (talk) 21:08, 29 June 2022 (UTC)

- Thank you, much appreciated. Cheers, Ktrimi991 (talk) 21:11, 29 June 2022 (UTC)
- After the semi-protection expired, an IP (obviously a sock of Deucalionite again) disrupted the article. Can you do sth to prevent further disruption? Cheers, Ktrimi991 (talk) 11:58, 9 July 2022 (UTC)
- If it continues I will. 1 edit 6 days after the page protection expired isn't enough to redo the protection. Let me know if it continues EvergreenFir (talk) 18:39, 9 July 2022 (UTC)

Your administrator actions on Patrick Lancaster
Please can you explain these administrator actions [1] [2]? I did not re-add the contentious propagandist claim when re-adding the Zaborona source. The use of the Zaborona source has been disputed only for establishing the notability of the subject, not the benign matters, like what he is known for. IntrepidContributor (talk) 19:57, 13 July 2022 (UTC)
- The issue was "Pro-Russian" and that Zaborona does not appear to be a reliable source. I took a look and cannot find any list of editors or indication of editorial oversight. You can start a discussion at WP:RSN if you would like others' input on the matter. EvergreenFir (talk) 20:06, 13 July 2022 (UTC)
- EvergreenFir, I have a friend who is an admin on the Russian Wikipedia and he says you should not be doing administrator actions if you have a point of view on the reliability of the source. Are you aware of this policy? IntrepidContributor (talk) 17:36, 15 July 2022 (UTC)
- And I already posted to the RSN noticeboard: Wikipedia:Reliable_sources/Noticeboard#Zaborona. Please can you post your concerns there about editorial oversight instead of doing administrator actions? Thank you. IntrepidContributor (talk) 17:40, 15 July 2022 (UTC)
- I'm not sure I agree with your friend. If a source is not solidly reliable, it is appropriate to use admin actions to preserve WP:BLP. The reverse would be a problem... if I thought a WP:QUESTIONABLE source was perfectly okay to use on a BLP and then used my admin status to force the issue.
- I will post on RSN. Thanks for pointing it out. EvergreenFir (talk) 17:47, 15 July 2022 (UTC)
- I'm not sure who is right but the article is now deleted because it lacked the sources for notability, like the Zaborona source you deleted. This was not a good admin action because there are many articles about living pro-Russian propagandists on Wikipedia. Please give me a copy of the deleted article so I can translate it into Russian. Edit on Anti Racism page
Can you please explain to me why you reverted my edit? Have a good day. Dimensions-of-reality (talk) 11:53, 17 July 2022 (UTC)
- @Dimensions-of-reality A lot of it was tangential to race (WP:COATRACK) and not about "anti racism" per se. The size of the content was WP:UNDUE and connecting most of it to anti racism is original research. EvergreenFir (talk) 17:28, 17 July 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks for explaining. I'll be careful with these things now. Dimensions-of-reality (talk) 14:57, 18 July 2022 (UTC)

There is the story about gold steal from this castle by Kajisuke (梶助) in 1740. Please, can you write the complete story from a translation of these Japanese sites: 1, 2, 3. Thank you very much. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.5.238.181 (talk) 07:51, 23 July 2022 (UTC)

Just a note
I wanted to let you know that the user you describe at User:EvergreenFir/socks#Broadcasts_and_Eleanor_Wonders_Why_(Pennsylvania) is WP:LTA/HT. wizzito | say hello! 05:53, 28 July 2022 (UTC)

User:Historiador1993
Hello, do you think you could take a look at this incivil and disruptive SPA account, Historiador1993? They've already received multiple warnings on their talk page for edit-warring. Yesterday, an editor told them that the image they're trying to add is copyrighted (https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Deletion_requests/File:Generations_2021.jpg), but even after that comment, just now, the user is still trying to edit-war that image back in [3] with no explanation. This makes me think that they're just here to POV push instead of edit constructively with others. Some1 (talk) 00:51, 29 July 2022 (UTC)

What is a personal attack
Hi, I've noticed you reverted a removal of a personal attack from a talk page. Could you explain why you consider it not to be a personal attack? My understanding of WP:NPA is that a personal attack is defined as a comment on contributor rather the content, which the removed wording was (comment on the date when I registered in Wikipedia). I'm new to Wikipedia and would appreciate if you could explain how this policy applies and what my understanding of it missing. Many thanks. PaulT2022 (talk) 00:04, 31 July 2022 (UTC)
- @PaulT2022 - WP:WIAPA explains it pretty clearly. An editor referring to another as a "two month old account" is not pejorative enough to warrant using {{RPA}}. Minor incivilities and petty slights are not grounds for refactoring. EvergreenFir (talk) 00:20, 31 July 2022 (UTC)
"Mikemikev vibes"
I'm wondering if you have any insight into how to handle the new account you described as having "Mikemikev vibes". I agree that the same level of gaslighting and time wasting behavior is there, but I don't yet see a slam-dunk case. This account continues to taunt the community both with their username and now on their talk page. They have also dared us to run CU, which suggests that they understand how to effectively mask their online identity. Meanwhile, the list of edits which will inevitably need to be rolled back is growing long. If you have any additional insight to offer, please feel free let me know either on wiki or by email. I will be happy to put together the SPI if I find a strong case. Thanks, Generalrelative (talk) 15:22, 31 July 2022 (UTC)
- Unfortunately, I don't have any specific thing I can point to, just context. The race-related pages, the language, odd edits like this one on a user's talk page who last edited nearly a year ago... Doug Weller probably knows MMV the best. EvergreenFir (talk) 18:32, 31 July 2022 (UTC)
- I don’t think so. The humor for instance isn’t typical. Doug Weller talk 19:22, 31 July 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks very much to you both. I was immediately struck by the similarity with suspected Mikemikev sock User:DuskDuck, which had "Quack Quack" on its user page alongside an image of a rubber duck [4] (a kind of humor I suppose) but I'll defer to your judgement. If there's nothing to be done for the time being I'll concentrate on other things. Best, Generalrelative (talk) 19:54, 31 July 2022 (UTC)

JWST and the Big Bang
The IP editor to whom you replied at Talk:Big Bang has a history of Big Bang denial; see here and before that here. The same person, editing from a slightly different IP, has been blocked for edit-warring in the past. XOR'easter (talk) 00:40, 1 August 2022 (UTC)
- @XOR'easter Thank you. I looked into their history a bit more and they certainly have a perseveration on this topic. That, and they immediately resumed disruption after a 3 month block expired. EvergreenFir (talk) 01:47, 1 August 2022 (UTC)
- Twisting an article that's full of statements about galaxies
appearing as they did just a few hundred million years after the Big Bang
into a supposed debunking of the Big Bang is ... certainly an intriguing rhetorical move. I'd call it surprising, but they treated textbooks on quantum mechanics the same way. XOR'easter (talk) 02:07, 1 August 2022 (UTC)
