Welcome to my Winter Wonderland!
Some general things to know about my Talk page...
- If you write me here I will respond here. If you write me on your user talk page then please tag me there so I may respond there. If a discussion is begun in one location then please keep it there for the sake of continuity. I may move discussions to keep them in one place when they are related.
- I will archive discussions regularly but no longer than 6 months at a time so if you don't see a particular discussion please look in my archives before alerting me.
- I have some rules on my talk page I would appreciate being observed by everyone: be kind, be nice, and be understanding. Honesty is important and how you feel is valid but if you are upset by something I have done or said or something said here by others then please step back, take a deep breath, and approach me calmly- I'm totally willing to listen and will admit if I have made a mistake and apologize, especially, if I have offended you!
- Sometimes it may take longer for me to reply. If a few days pass without a reply, please forgive me and send out a search and rescue team to find me. I undoubtedly fell into a hole somewhere. I will respond as soon as it is humanly possible for me to do so.
- My talk page is regularly monitored by helpful Talk Page Watchers and Wiki-friends. They may comment or offer assistance from time to time and their presence is both wanted and appreciated. They are my guests as long as they don't eat all my cookies. :)
Please note that it is 1:06 AM (-9 UTC), where I live.

Ukrainian peace music is now "on", with the conductor! - Pentecost (on last Sunday and Monday in Germany) brought a harvest of great music in two church services (one with me singing in choir) and two concerts with my brother in the orchestra, - four pictures I took besides the symphonic one. Don't miss enormous rose arches in the private collection, linked in "songs". --Gerda Arendt (talk) 13:53, 8 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for improving articles in June! My song collection is especially rich, look, and the hall where I first heard DFD, Pierre Boulez and Murray Perahia. Do you find the baby deer in the meadow (last row)? --Gerda Arendt (talk) 21:32, 20 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
- Gerda, thank you for taking me on an adventure this morning. Such beautiful colors, wonderful music and the Lifesong of that precious baby deer. You are a jewel! <Hugs /> --ARoseWolf 12:28, 21 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
- blushing - could you perhaps a tune of peace to Cosima Wagner? --Gerda Arendt (talk) 12:32, 21 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
- Gerda, I have been following that discussion for over a week. Sometimes peace comes in the form of a tune that is bitter sweet. I remember the day my Papa and Mama left town for a "quick" trip to Fairbanks. There was something I was frantic about in regards to the store and I was concerned about handling it myself without him being there. My Papa pulled me in close and took my hands and reminded me with few simple words that life is about focusing on the peace rather than the struggle. His exact words fade with time, something I have gotten angry with myself over, yet I still hear his Song in me. "Genevieve, peace is not the absence of conflict but the ability to maintain who you are in the midst of it." Yes, that's it! Thank you, gift. Little did I know that would be the last words he would say to me and now all I have are memories. I wish I had answers for everything and words or a tune of peace for everyone but tunes and words mean different things for each individual because it resonates against our strings at specific frequencies and in direct wavelengths according to who we are and the experiences we've had. So, even if I may not have words or a tune for that discussion, for you, that is exactly my gift. Maintain who you are, Gerda, it's pretty special, so I've heard.

- I understand, and I understand everybody who won't tackle the dissonances there. Eric Corbett told me "chin up" in 2013, and Brianboulton paved the way to infobox opera in L'Arianna, and infobox person for composers in Percy Grainger that same year. (It's all on my 2013 talk page archive.) To hear now that I don't respect the wish of Brian for that article (which became FA in 2012, and was TFA on her birthday the same year), - I have no reply. Brianboulton grew to the understanding he showed in the quoted Signpost essay "a fresh look" (on my user page), and some of his friends don't want to accept that. Do you understand? --Gerda Arendt (talk) 21:16, 21 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
- Gerda Arendt, I never said I wouldn't respond there, I just said it may not be a tune of peace. I have followed the discussion but I am still mulling over its implications for that specific article and I don't want to hurry anything along and not communicate exactly how I see it. That's how misunderstandings and miscommunications happen. I understand your position completely. I respect your position and I would never say or agree that you are somehow damaging Brian's legacy by stating that you both agreed on some major points. Brian was an extremely intelligent and empathizing person. I can gather that by hearing the notes in his words. He was genuine and staunch in his positions but could learn and adapt to new thoughts. If anyone tries to say different then I challenge them as to if that was actually his position or are they projecting their own thoughts onto him. Brian wrote "A Fresh Look" as an expression of his changing thoughts in regards to this subject but also to express the positions that had not changed with him. He was a great asset to the encyclopedia and a good friend to those who knew him here. I understand you more than you may know, Gerda. That is why my words were more focused on peace in you than the discussion being had. --ARoseWolf 13:38, 22 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
- thank you - today: a song about getting through the night, after plenty of music and architecture over the weekend --Gerda Arendt (talk) 21:11, 27 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Greetings @ ARoseWolf
Following appeared @ DyK today.
The fact was ... that National Women's Day in Pakistan commemorates a 1983 march against a law that devalued the testimony of Pakistani women to half that of men?
Many thanks for your esteemed copy edit help and all the support. Warm regards,
Bookku, 'Encyclopedias = expanding information & knowledge' (talk) 12:39, 27 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
- Bookku, I'm so glad it made it on DYK and I am thrilled you have successfully brought attention to the underrepresented subject of women's rights in Pakistan and other locations around the world. --ARoseWolf 13:14, 27 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
