I mostly edit on Thursday and Friday, sometimes on Saturday evening. If you leave me a message I will try to respond earlier, but that's usually my schedule.
History
The beginning, 2008–2012: My first edit was in 2008. I think I never edited as an IP, and I don't believe in anonymous editing. From day one I thought that everyone should have an identity, so they are open to communication and take responsibility for their edits. I became very active in June 2010 and remained so until June 2012, when I got disillusioned with Wikipedia. As far as I recall this was after working two months on a list, trying to make it into a WP:FL, and being denied because of a WP:COI editor who kept reverting a single revision I made. I'm sure there were other factors, such as getting attached to some of my work which got vandalized, but for sure, I was suffering from a severe case of Wikistress, and lucky for me, I understood that I need a long Wikibreak.
June 2017 Comeback: In June 2017 I returned, trying this time to care less. The collapsed page below is my five years old (as of 2017) user page. Much of it is irrelevant, but I'm keeping it because... well, I don't care. You can treat it as a page in history or ignore it altogether. Did I say already how much I care?
April 2018 Update, to the not-interested and otherwise: in April 2018 I realized that again, I have drifted into subjects that are hopeless, mostly Education in India. I do not enjoy spending most of my time reverting boosterism and promotional edits, not to speak of bored students' vandalism. The system is NOT WORKING. There are not enough caring editors to keep filthy hands out of education institute articles, and those articles are gradually degrading into a pile of excrement. Since the system of allowing any anonymous IP to do anything to any page is not going to change, I have decided to withdraw my involvement with Education in India and try to contribute in fields where my contribution may be appreciated and may have some lasting effect on the quality of Wikipedia.
PS: Reading the paragraph above some years later, I realize how angry I was at the time. I don't feel that strongly about it anymore, but I keep it to remind myself.
March 2020 Update: And again, I found that I lost interest in what I do. A sure sign is that even though I am semi-isolated at home due to COVID-19, I still don't seriously consider editing as an option. I think it's time for another WikiBreak. I will try to be available from time to time, especially for template edits, but please {{ping}} me to get my attention.
November 2020 Update: It seems like this level of involvement is working well for me. I help when I'm asked to help and I watch some maintenance categories that need watching, especially related to album and single certification. I do much work around {{Certification Table Entry}}, where people are reasonable and appreciative. Happy editing!
