I had edited under a dynamic IP (64.85.214/217) from 2009 until 2018.
This account was created in 2016 and initially was to utilize page moves and article creation without burdening others.
Since mid-2018 I no longer use an IP and edit with this account exclusively.

Eastern/Southern League (baseball) redirects
Thanks for taking the initiative to rename these articles. I noticed that Eastern League (baseball) redirects to a disambiguation page, while Southern League (baseball) redirects to the article's new name. An argument could be made for redirection to either, but I think they should be consistent. I'm inclined to favor redirecting to the new name at least until the old name's usage has been greatly reduced. On the other hand, redirecting to the dab page is likely to expedite the conversion to the new name. Is there a reason you did them differently? Waz8:T-C-E 04:16, 9 January 2022 (UTC)
- They both should redirect to the dab page as (baseball) is an incomplete dab, but when disambiguating the Southern League page, it was noticed that about 15% or so of the incoming links were actually NOT to the 1964-2020 league (see Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Disambiguation#Help with fixing dab), so I am sloooooowly re-targeting those manually one at a time. @John B123:I assume you did not see the edit summary when the page was created? Since the RfD is still open, it is out of process to delete this page at the moment. I suggest you wait for the outcome of the RfD before you proceed. Rgrds. --Bison X (talk) 21:00, 24 February 2022 (UTC)
- Hi Bison, I didn't see the link originally. I've removed the tag. Regards. --John B123 (talk) 21:26, 24 February 2022 (UTC)

An incorrect page move
Can you have a look at this: User talk:Lennart97#New York Giants, and correctly fix it. An admin can also fix it if notified. Thanks. Best, --Discographer (talk) 21:36, 17 April 2022 (UTC)
- Hello, Discographer! I know in the RfC I listed New York Giants (baseball), but I now believe that was mistaken. Further discussion was attempted at the bottom of the RfC, but no one bit. My reasoning is Incomplete disambiguation, based on the players' naming conventions which requires 2 or more "(baseball)" pages to be further disambiguated, then the "(baseball)" DAB redirects to the DAB page. For teams, see Memphis Blues (baseball) as an example. I believed I was following policy, but more discussion is never a bad thing. I can initiate a move discussion on the talk page if you would like, framing it from the viewpoint of moving from the "History of the New York Giants (baseball)" & then asking if it should be move to "New York Giants (baseball)" or "New York Giants (National League)"? Rgrds. --Bison X (talk) 22:01, 17 April 2022 (UTC)
- Bison X, good to hear from you! Okay, I still think this page should be moved, unless Boston Braves (baseball) is moved to Boston Braves (National League) instead. The other MLB team page moves were good. Thanks! Best, --Discographer (talk) 22:23, 17 April 2022 (UTC)
- @Discographer: Since there is only one baseball team called the Boston Braves, further disambiguation to "National League" isn't necessary. From a reader's standpoint, they would ask which Boston Braves? Oh, the baseball Boston Braves. Conversely, which New York Giants? Oh, the baseball New York Giants. Wait, which baseball New York Giants? Oh, the National League New York Giants. I notice in the page history of the NL Giants, it did get moved back & forth in 2013 & 2016. Let me know, I can pick this back up tomorrow. Rgrds. --Bison X (talk) 22:32, 17 April 2022 (UTC)
- @Bison X: Yeah, I seen the back-and-forth between that too, but let's not forget the New York Giants NFL team, which is where that should be at. Best, --Discographer (talk) 22:46, 17 April 2022 (UTC)
- @Bison X: Okay, how about this then: New York Giants (National League) → New York Giants (MLB), to match Wikipedia's pre-existing season articles (i.e. 1952 New York Giants (MLB) season; and also to maintain consistency). New York Giants (American League) / New York Giants (AL) never existed anyway. My suggestion is for either New York Giants (baseball) (like Texas Rangers (baseball)) or New York Giants (MLB), as mentioned in the previous sentence, just not New York Giants (National League) / New York Giants (NL), as that implies an American League / (AL) team existed, or exists. Best, --Discographer (talk) 10:12, 18 April 2022 (UTC)
- @Discographer: Technically, the NYG were never a MLB club, as the NL & AL didn't legally merge until 2000. Also, most listings by city (such as the HoF) refer to the Giants as NY (NL) and the Yanks as NY (AL), the Cubs as CHI (NL) & the Sox as CHI (AL). I was not aware of the season articles using (MLB); it is disappointing that after all of these years those differed from the "History of" article which used (baseball). It would be more appropriate, IMO, to correct those season articles, 1925-1957, to "(National League)," and move the categories, too. Not a big deal -- we did it when the American Association (19th century) article was moved. I don't see how it implies an AL team existed. Do you think an RM is necessary now? Rgrds. --Bison X (talk) 20:13, 18 April 2022 (UTC)
- @Bison X: If Texas Rangers (baseball) is moved to Texas Rangers (American League), as per the merge in 2000 (according to you), then, and only then, will I agree with you on this. Best, --Discographer (talk) 20:54, 18 April 2022 (UTC)
- Well, that went south in the blink of an eye. There is only one baseball team called the TX Rangers, so that would be unnecessary disambiguation. I'll start an RM in a few moments. We are done here. Rgrds. --Bison X (talk) 22:57, 18 April 2022 (UTC)

Year in Baseball
Howdy. Don't you think you should be getting a consensus for those mass changes you're making at the "Year in Baseball" pages? GoodDay (talk) 00:10, 20 June 2022 (UTC)
