Akbiik cave is so named due to the fact that it is located near the village of Akbiik, Tulkubassk district, Turkestan region. The cave is known for the fact that mineral growths - stalactites were formed inside it. The length of the cave reaches 300 meters and has a small hall and a large one. Also in the cave you can find minerals such as: sedimentary rock of brown ironstone and polymorph of calcium carbonate. The cave has the representation of a closed horizontal labyrinth cavity, opened during mining operations in the mid-fifties of the last century. In the 70s, the first to visit the cave were cavers from Almaty. Due to the easy accessibility of the cave and vandalism by local residents, the cave begins to collapse. To date, the cave is not guarded in any way.
