ACC tool access request approved
Thank you for your interest in the account creation process, as well as your interest in joining the ACC team as an ACC Tool User. I have reviewed and discussed your application with other ACC Tool Administrators, confirmed that you meet the required minimum qualifications for prospective new ACC Tool User candidates, and verified that you have signed the confidentiality agreement for nonpublic information. Given your application, as well as the level of experience and perceived trust that you've accumulated on Wikipedia, I have approved your ACC Tool User request and activated your ACC Tool User account.
- You may now access the ACC Tool User interface by clicking here. Before you begin handling any new ACC requests, please ensure that you have completely read though, reviewed, understood, and familiarized yourself with the ACC Tool Users' Guidelines, as well as Wikipedia's username policy.
Please subscribe yourself to the ACC Tool User private mailing list by clicking here and following the instructions on that page. Having an active subscription to this mailing list with an email address of yours is required in order to maintain an active ACC Tool User account. If this is not completed in a timely manner, your ACC Tool User account will be temporarily suspended until you complete this process, so please be diligent in getting subscribed.I've already done this for you. See the email that I sent you for more information. :-) ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 02:40, 4 July 2022 (UTC)
- I also advise and encourage you join us on IRC - instructions for how to join can be found here. The ACC team has a private channel, #wikipedia-en-accounts connect, that is restricted to active ACC Tool Users and ACC Tool Administrators only. In this channel, a bot automatically informs us as soon as a new account request is submitted to the ACC new request queue, and you can get real-time information, help, and advice from other ACC Tool Users and ACC Tool Administrators on policies and procedures, and how to properly handle certain requests there. Although joining us and participating with us on IRC is advised and highly encouraged, it is not required and you are not obligated to do so.
- With your ACC Tool User account, you are (by default) only allowed to create up to six Wikipedia accounts per day (every 24 hours), and you won't be able to create an account if it is found to be similar to the username of another Wikipedia account. ACC account requests for usernames that are similar to other Wikipedia account usernames are placed into the "Flagged user needed" queue on the ACC Tool User interface. Only users who have the account creator user right (and hence are allowed to create accounts with similar usernames, as well as create an unlimited number of new accounts per day) should handle requests that are in this queue. After a few months of demonstrating experience and consistency with following all ACC Tool User processes and procedures (at least a minimum of three months of tenure and 50+ handled requests are expected), if you find yourself reaching the limit of six new accounts per day frequently, and find yourself without new requests that you can handle frequently (by not being usernames that are similar to others), you can request having the account creator user right granted to your account by filing a new request here.
- Please note that the account creation process is not a race, and each new account request must be handled diligently, accurately, thoroughly, with care, and within compliance of the ACC Tool Users' Guidelines. Failure to correctly assess ACC account requests will result in corrective action up to and including suspension of your tool access and your ACC Tool User account. Releasing any kind of personally identifiable information (such as a user's IP address, email addresses, or other non-public information), whether intentionally or unintentionally, is treated as an extremely serious violation of the ACC Tool User policy, as well as your compliance with the confidentiality agreement for nonpublic information that you signed with the Wikimedia Foundation, and will usually result in immediate suspension of your ACC Tool User account.
- The consistent and full compliance with the ACC Tool Users' Guidelines, Wikipedia's username policy, and the confidentiality agreement for nonpublic information (including all policies and procedures outlined within those pages), the correct and accurate handling and closure of new ACC account requests, and the strict compliance with the non-disclosure of any and all non-public information that you'll have access to within the ACC Tool User interface is expected at all times, and is a condition of your ACC Tool User account's standing and your membership with the ACC Tool User team.
Now that all of the mandatory warnings, explanations, and rules have been disclosed to you, let me end this on a positive note by welcoming you to the ACC team. Please don't hesitate to get in touch with me if you have any questions, and I'll be more than happy to answer them and help you. Thanks again for your interest with participating in the account creation process, and I welcome you as a new member of the ACC team! ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 02:38, 4 July 2022 (UTC)
