Hello Poewritesthings. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.
Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.
Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Poewritesthings. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Poewritesthings|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}
. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. PRAXIDICAE🌈 01:54, 3 July 2022 (UTC)
- All updates and cites are correct and are an accurate representation of Dead Posey. I'm a fan of Dead Posey and have looked up these sources online. I am not being paid to do this. Poewritesthings (talk) 02:23, 3 July 2022 (UTC)

- Can you please explain how this, this and this are your own work, then? PRAXIDICAE🌈 02:40, 3 July 2022 (UTC)
- I asked band to send me pictures that they own the rights to so I could use them on wiki pages Poewritesthings (talk) 02:41, 3 July 2022 (UTC)
- Well, you uploaded them as own work and there's no evidence that they own the copyright either. Just because they appear in the image, does not mean they have any rights to it and accordingly, they will be deleted. PRAXIDICAE🌈 02:43, 3 July 2022 (UTC)
- They own the rights to these pictures because they hired the photog to take those pictures of them and own the legal rights to the pictures. The photog does not own the black and white picture of Danyell or the colored pic of Tony on guitar. The only picture i'm unaware of if Tony on drumms from Eve6. How do I show proof of this? Just a fan trying to help a band I love have an updated wiki page. Poewritesthings (talk) 02:49, 3 July 2022 (UTC)
- Well, then they can follow the instructions for donating the image to Wikimedia but in the mean time, they'll be deleted. PRAXIDICAE🌈 02:50, 3 July 2022 (UTC)
- Ok, should I tell the band they need to make a personal wikipage and upload the pictures they own themselves or can they upload pictures to wiki without making an account?
- Why does this message keep appearing at the top of Dead Posey wiki page? I've disputed this since I'm not in any violation. I have a right as a fan to update this bands page. I am not getting paid to do any updates.
- "This article may have been created or edited in return for undisclosed payments, a violation of Wikipedia's terms of use. It may require cleanup to comply with Wikipedia's content policies, particularly neutral point of view. (July 2022)" Poewritesthings (talk) 02:55, 3 July 2022 (UTC)
- Can you please remove the "Paid Violation" you added to the top of the Dead Posey wiki page. I've stated that I am not being payed to contribute or cite this page or anything affiliated with this band - I'm just a fan that wants to help one of my favorite bands anyway I can. Poewritesthings (talk) 04:28, 3 July 2022 (UTC)
- Hi again - thank you for getting rid of the "paid violation" I appreciate you.
- Quick question about the fan violation: I didn't realize it was a wiki violation to contribute to wiki pages if you're a fan of someone if you're using sources and citing everything correctly. I've only contributed and cited from sources I've found online, which I've thought to be accurate and I haven't added anything from a fans or false point of view as far as I know. I'd greatly appreciate your consideration of removing the "fan violation" from the top when you have a chance. Thanks so much for your time. -Poe Poewritesthings (talk) 05:09, 3 July 2022 (UTC)

- Hi I moved it to drafts for now.
- Question: I'm a fan of Dead Posey and made new edits today on their wiki page. I was given a "paid violation tag" at the top of the bands page by PRAXIDICAE. Is there anyway for you to remove that since is inaccurate since I'm a fan and I'm not working or getting paid by the band. I'm just trying to contribute to their page with updated info which I cited correctly within wiki rules. I tried to remove is myself but PRAXIDICAE re attached it to the top of the Dead Posey band page. Feel like I'm getting picked on for doing nothing wrong. :/ Just a fan that loves a band and wants to help them anyway I can. Poewritesthings (talk) 04:02, 3 July 2022 (UTC)
