Since you've shown some interest in editing topics related to India, we hope you'll stay and add content to India related articles. Indian topics are generally underrepresented on wikipedia and you can help counter this imbalance by becoming a regular contributor and by joining or watchlisting India related discussions (for example, Noticeboard for India-related topics). Please stop using that template. The article is not protected and is being used improperly. You are capable of editing it on your own.—cyberpower ChatOnline 19:00, 18 June 2012 (UTC)
- The article is not protected, hence I am asking for semi-protection by using that template. Yes, I can make edits but I do not want people using anonymous IPs' to make amends as many of them have vandalized it in the past. The article Pranab Mukherjee is an article of a living person. I was advised on the article's talk page (Talk:Pranab Mukherjee) that I could request one for it.Vaibhavgupta1989 (talk) 19:44, 18 June 2012 (UTC)
- You are obviously a new editor. A few points to keep in mind, the reason why I have been removing the edit request is because it is used for requesting an edit the user can't make themselves. It is not used for requesting protection. To request protection of a page go to WP:RFPP and ask for it to be protected. Protection is only warranted if The article in question persistently gets damaged. In other words, administrators will only protect it if it does more good than harm to the project. Prematurely protecting it will do more harm than good.—cyberpower ChatOnline 00:32, 19 June 2012 (UTC)
- Also please don't tag bomb articles liek Indian presidential election, 2012. Youve added some tafgs and explanations, which are fine and in your right. But when a tag was answered you returned the next day to add 2 more tags without reason. Ive discusses on the talk page the removal of them.(Lihaas (talk) 07:30, 30 June 2012 (UTC)).

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, The Lokpal Bill, 2011. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page - Jan Lokpal Bill. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Jan Lokpal Bill - you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.
If you think that the article you created should remain separate, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. Qwyrxian (talk) 12:40, 24 June 2012 (UTC)

Hi. When you recently edited The Lokpal Bill, 2011, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Bill and Economic Times (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Dara Singh
Hi TheTigerKing, do have a look at my note on the Dara Singh talk page. It is really not advisable to include such a huge tributes section in the article; certainly not as a list. Condense it into a manageable prose form of, say, 5-6 sentences, and include it. Have discussions in the talk page, I see Karthik Nadar and BPositive are active there, so discuss with them and come up with some good prose to put in there. One or two quotes shouldn't hurt, but certainly not dozens of them. Lynch7 18:58, 12 July 2012 (UTC)
- Agreed! But, I was willing to expand the article in detail. The tribute section would have had looked insignificant then.Regards, theTigerKing 19:01, 12 July 2012 (UTC)

Please guide me on how one can upload music files in wikipedia. I require step by step approach for the same. Regards, theTigerKing 17:11, 15 July 2012 (UTC)

- Hi TheTigerKing - Right, this is what you do. Go to this link - when you get there, you'll be presented with a form onto which you put the details of the file you're uploading, the name you want to give it on commons, and a description of what the file is, who created it, where you linked it or got it from, and so on.
- You also need to select a license (whether it's music you made yourself, or if it's something taken from elsewhere) - and then proceed to click the Upload file button. If there are any problems with the file, you will be warned about them. Please remember that if the music is copyrighted, you cannot upload it on to Commons, since they do not accept copyrighted material. If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask them here and I or someone else will come back to assist you :) BarkingFish 18:48, 15 July 2012 (UTC)

Hi, I realise that this may be in part an issue to do with Indian English but the tone of many of your posts at Talk:Pranab Mukherjee is giving the impression that you are claiming ownership of the article. ArbCom elections are now open!
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Asian 10,000 Challenge invite
Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 04:45, 21 October 2016 (UTC)

Non-admin closures at ITN/C
Hi TheTigerKing, please take care when performing non-admin closures at ITN/C, as you did here. Per the criteria at WP:NAC, you clearly are registered and have a lot of experience at ITN, so those aren't at stake, but as a supporter of the blurb in that nomination, you would fall under the category of someone "involved" in that nomination. With that, I have un-closed the nomination: not that I think there is consensus to shift the nom to an RD (nor do I think that endless discussion on the nom would be helpful), but there was a query for the admin who posted that I think is fair. Just wanted to drop you a note here beyond what could be included in an edit summary. Best, SpencerT•C 06:18, 19 August 2018 (UTC) Ok, fine. Thanks for the information!
