Disambiguation pages
Hi Barefoot, just wanted to let you know that I reverted your edit to Piccolomini (disambiguation). Disambiguation pages have different guidelines than articles (the short version is here), one of which is that each entry should have a link to only one existing article. Leschnei (talk) 23:39, 8 June 2019 (UTC)
- Silly arbitrary rule IMO, but that's beside the point. My main purpose was to replace the non-existent Prenza with Pienza. Your solution cleaned it up nicely. Well done. Barefoot through the chollas (talk) 03:23, 10 June 2019 (UTC)

Your username...
...makes me squinch. Signed, someone who has made the mistake of wearing sandals while walking near chollas and Joshuas. (It was the Joshuas I was admiring; the chollas were there for the ride.) Amazingly, nobody got hurt. --jpgordon𝄢𝄆 𝄐𝄇 14:19, 10 May 2020 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for May 11
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Italian orthography, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Digraph (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

A couple things
Re Talk:English-language spelling reform#Requested move 14 July 2020: In requested move discussions, it is customary to indicate one's opinion, usually "Support" or "Oppose", in bold, so as to help the closer of the discussion assess the consensus. See the previous RM I linked to in the discussion for examples.
Re Tuscany: I recently started a discussion regarding the very topic of /sC/ syllabification in Italian at Help talk:IPA/Italian#Syllabification of /s/ + consonant. Your participation would be appreciated. Nardog (talk) 04:17, 15 July 2020 (UTC)

Please do not add or change content, as you did at Paint It Black, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. WP:BURDEN and WP:SONGTRIVIA both apply TheSandDoctor Talk 17:57, 15 April 2021 (UTC)
What I added was [citation needed], a non-rude legitimate request for a reliable source: Wikipedia:Citation needed. Barefoot through the chollas (talk) 20:40, 15 April 2021 (UTC)

Please do not add or change content, as you did at Tucson, Arizona, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at [[Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Magnolia677 (talk) 16:22, 22 July 2021 (UTC)
- Magnolia677 I'm aware of guidelines, what constitutes reliable source, etc. I'm also aware that a bit of calm good judgment is fundamental in deciding when to demand sourcing for basic facts at the banal truism level, as is manifested all-but-innumerable times in the Tucson article as well as any other. Aside from cluttering the text excessively, it does no harm to source non-controversial common-knowledge observations such as "... is home to the University of Arizona", "Tucson is sometimes referred to as 'The Old Pueblo'", "The city is built along the Santa Cruz River", etc. etc. It's simply unnecessary. Those who opine otherwise are going to be very busy, indeed, either demanding sourcing of others or supplying sourcing themselves. Barefoot through the chollas (talk) 19:03, 22 July 2021 (UTC)
You can at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.
