See Template talk:QuoteQuran/debug for error fixing. Keep in mind that it burdens the server to upload all the data in that page. --Striver 17:07, 19 September 2006 (UTC)

Links broken?
This template generates hyperlinks with URLs like "http://www.usc.edu/dept/MSA/quran/017.qmt.html#017.104", which now return HTTP 302 redirects to http://cmje.org. (Apparently, a redesign of that website went live on Sept 14th, which probably caused this problem.) Fixing this needs more time and energy than I can spare at present; any volunteers? (I suggest contacting USC/CMJE first.) CWC 15:02, 15 September 2011 (UTC)
- It was done in 2014, then done again in 2019 when it broke again. — SMcCandlish ☏ ¢ 😼 08:49, 3 April 2019 (UTC)
Links fixed
I've put the appropriate link into the template, after USC's roll-out of their new site broke the links generated by the template. Not sure how to fix the quote a range of verses template, though. Dmvjjvmd (talk) 21:40, 4 January 2014 (UTC)
- And that later also broke. USC says the site is just gone, including from the other organization they gave it to. However, web.archive.org works, and I've fixed the template to use it. — SMcCandlish ☏ ¢ 😼 08:49, 3 April 2019 (UTC)
Mobile
This template doesn't display on mobile at all. I think it has to do with the CSS boilerplate
and possibly metadata
classes. Hairy Dude (talk) 05:13, 29 March 2015 (UTC)
Table and style
I have made the style low-key like most Wikipedia quote templates. I am also removing the translator table since it seems obscure.

Qur'an verse, URL source
The Center for Muslim–Jewish Engagement, University of Southern California URL links used for Qur'an translation sources are too outdated now. Aside from being archived, the page includes only 3 translation versions. It would be better to use quran.com or islamawakened.com as the sources. IslamAwakened links contain up to 61 English translations from different Muslim and non-Muslim sources. Quran.com, on the other hand, has 10 English translation versions and also multiple other languages. — AhmadF.Cheema (talk) 17:02, 11 December 2019 (UTC)
