Removal of original research
I have removed many entries based entirely on primary sources per WP:No original research. Entries need to have multiple secondary or tertiary sources supporting the content in order for the entries to be included on this list per wikipedia policy.4meter4 (talk) 01:51, 22 September 2021 (UTC)
- Sumanuil I already started a discussion thread. Policy is clearly stated at the WP:PSTS section that content only sourced to primary sources is considered original research. Additionally, this content isn't even an accurate reproduction as original names/labels are being placed on the victims (who have different names in law enforcement/NAMUS database; i.e. I.D. tags in the primary materials). As such, problems of WP:SYNTH are inherent in each entry. Further, without secondary and tertiary sources the content is not clearly encyclopedic and it should be removed per WP:N. 4meter4 (talk) 01:56, 22 September 2021 (UTC)
Then try fixing them. Blanking is the easy way out. And again, "The phrase "original research" (OR) is used on Wikipedia to refer to material—such as facts, allegations, and ideas—for which no reliable, published sources exist." - Sumanuil (talk) 01:59, 22 September 2021 (UTC)
- WP:BURDEN states the opposite. It's up to the people adding content to prove it's worthy of inclusion by citing sources. Additionally, I don't think any of these entries are likely to be notable.4meter4 (talk) 02:02, 22 September 2021 (UTC)
- On a side note, I added the standard inclusion criteria used by WP:WikiProject Death on death related articles to the opening part of the page. Really this page should only include entries with articles of their own (as in they are notable enough to warrant their own encyclopedia article). That's standard for death related lists on wikipedia.4meter4 (talk) 02:06, 22 September 2021 (UTC)
- One more thing, WP:No original research states. "If no reliable independent sources can be found on a topic, Wikipedia should not have an article about it." Law enforcement and government databases are directly connected to murder victims and those sources lack independence.4meter4 (talk) 02:34, 22 September 2021 (UTC)

why is it missing some states ?

- This is not a complete or inclusive list, but only contains entries which are supported by independent secondary and tertiary sources. As such, some states have no entries, as no qualifying entries have been written about.4meter4 (talk) 21:33, 3 February 2022 (UTC)
Pulaski County Jane Doe 2002
I see that she is not listed here on the Wiki page. I believe wiki shows up more than anything else. So this would be a great place for her to be placed as she is already a part of the Charley Project and the NamUS database. Mermicorn52 (talk) 17:47, 3 February 2022 (UTC)
- Those are primary sources which lack independence and do not confer notability to the topic for inclusion on this list. We only include entries with significant coverage in independent secondary or tertiary sources.4meter4 (talk) 21:31, 3 February 2022 (UTC)

External links
I have removed the external media imbedded in the the body of this article per policy. Wikipedia:External links explicitly states that external links should not be placed within the body of the article, except in rare cases (which do not apply here). Only a limited number of external links should be used, and they should only be placed in list format in the external links section of the article per policy at WP:MOS.4meter4 (talk) 22:12, 2 June 2022 (UTC)
