Activist Pascal Bida Koyagbele is a Central African politician and farmer who serves in the government of the Central African Republic as Minister of State in charge of Development and Strategic Investment.[1][2][3]
Life and career
Koyagbele studied science in France and was trained in organic farming in South Africa. In 2015, He received the Diaspora Man Of The Year Award from The Voice Achievers Award.[4]
In 2018, Koyagbele launched an organic farm in Bangui where he grows fruit and vegetables, also collaborated with a municipality and an association in Luxembourg to train student farmers whom he calls “soldiers of the land”.
Koyagbele is the minister's adviser to Faustin-Archange Touadéra on major works as well as propelling the digitization of the economy at the forefront of the Blockchain and Cryptocurrency adoption in Africa and one of those who helped to protect Bangui against the rebels who have sworn to the fall of Faustin-Archange Touadéra. His connection with the Russian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mikhail Bogdanov, brought about the Russian military intervention. With the help of Defense Minister Jean-Claude Rameaux Bireau, he got the military and economic agreement with Rwanda and Russia. On the Rwandan side, his connection with Clare Akamanzi, the director of the Rwanda Development Board, help him to achieve a rapprochement between Paul Kagame and Faustin-Archange Touadéra.[5]
Between December 2020 and July 2021, Koyagbele traveled several times to Kigali, Moscow, and Saint Petersburg on behalf of the president. Following his many visits to Russia and Rwanda, he acquired the installation in the Central African Republic of the airline Rwandair and the producers of the natural juice Inyange.[6][7]
Koyagbele is the president of the Association of Central African Peasants, which has a shopfront in Bangui. He is also a member of Kité a group representing subsistence farmers.[8]
