To report an error in current or upcoming Main Page content, please add it to the appropriate section below.
- Where is the error? An exact quotation of all or part of the text in question will help.
- Please offer a correction if possible.
- References are helpful, especially when reporting an obscure factual or grammatical error.
- Time zones: The Main Page runs on Coordinated Universal Time (UTC, currently 01:12 on 6 June 2022), not adjusted to your local time zone.
- Do not use {{edit fully-protected}} on this page, which will not give you a faster response; it is unnecessary as this page is not protected and will in fact cause problems if used here, as this is not a talk page. (See the bottom of this revision for an example.)
- Done? Once an error has been fixed, rotated off the Main Page or acknowledged not to be an error, the report will be removed from this page; please check the revision history for a record of any discussion or action taken, as no archives are kept.
- No chit-chat: Lengthy discussions should be moved to a suitable location elsewhere, such as the relevant article or project talk page.
- Please respect other editors. A real person wrote the blurb or hook for which you are suggesting a fix, or a real person noticed what they honestly believe is an issue with the blurb or hook that you wrote. Everyone is interested in creating the best Main Page possible; with the compressed time frame, there is sometimes more stress and more opportunities to step on toes. Please be civil to fellow users.
- Can you resolve the problem yourself? If the error lies primarily in the content of an article linked from the Main Page, consider first attempting to fix the problem there before reporting it here if necessary. Text on the Main Page generally defers to the articles with bolded links. In addition, upcoming content is typically only protected from editing 24 hours before its scheduled appearance; in most cases, you can be bold and fix any issues yourself.

Current DYK
The DYK blurb for Clotworthy Upton states that he was unable to inherit his father’s baronetcy, when it should instead say barony or baronage. Baronetcy is used for the lesser position of baronet. RPH (talk) 14:11, 5 June 2022 (UTC)
- The source says "baronetcy", so we usually go with that to avoid original research. —Kusma (talk) 14:19, 5 June 2022 (UTC)
Done @Kusma: we have a contradiction here. "baronetcy" is not mentioned in the article. The source upon which this hook is based, is listed under "References" and points to the article wording, "Upton did not receive the family barony" I've changed it that. — Maile (talk) 14:58, 5 June 2022 (UTC)
- @Maile66: it was changed in the article today. Searching for "Clotworthy" in the book source gives me "... John Upton inheriting the family baronetcy rather than Clotworthy". I don't know what is right, but I did check the source and it said "baronetcy", not "barony". —Kusma (talk) 15:09, 5 June 2022 (UTC)
- Well, this is confusing. Do you want to flip it back, or keep it at barony? I'm not British, so I have no knowledge in this area. I'll leave it up to you. — Maile (talk) 15:20, 5 June 2022 (UTC)
- How about "title"? —Kusma (talk) 15:25, 5 June 2022 (UTC)
- Sure, either that or "peerage title". You can change it. It won't be edit warring. — Maile (talk) 15:31, 5 June 2022 (UTC)
- It should be "barony", being as his father was Baron Templetown, not a baronet. Pickersgill-Cunliffe (talk) 16:52, 5 June 2022 (UTC)
- I'm not British either, I just live there. If @Pickersgill-Cunliffe says it is wrong in the source (and that looks more plausible than the source being correct) it is fine by me. —Kusma (talk) 17:21, 5 June 2022 (UTC)
