I help manage the Wikipedia:WikiProject Current events, which deals with a lot of freshly made articles and drafts. Some are not notable, so I have helped with PRODs and AfDs while others are stubs that need improvement, which I have helped with. I also get pinged to help with current event drafts to help determine notability, so the new page review permission would be extremely beneficial. I will note that my AfD record is not the best (in the more distant past) due to almost all of the AfDs I look at being related to current events, so notability can be tricky to determine with WP:BREAKING and WP:RAPID both being factors at times. I'd love to help clear out the massive patrol backlog, and I have been wanting to become a new page reviewer for a while now as I hadn't reached the 500 edits to mainspace requirement until recently. I have some article-related experience under my belt: I have nominated some pages for AFD and CSD; I have created three articles, one of which is B-class; I successfully nominated that B-class article for DYK; and I have experience in anti-vandalism, meaning I can easily notice spam. - Thank you for your interest in this permission. Unfortunately, your track record at AfD is a bit weak, so I don't think it would be appropriate to confer permissions at this time. Consider reapplying in the future after participating more at AfD and/or creating additional new articles. Not done for now. signed, Rosguill talk 00:11, 30 May 2022 (UTC)

I've been editing since July 2021, and recently another editor suggested I apply for NPR. I've reviewed the instructions for NPP, and believe I have a good grasp on notability (I've never had an article I created deleted, and I have been granted the autopatrolled user right). I'd like to help out a bit with the massive NPP backlog. Trainsandotherthings (talk) 21:20, 27 May 2022 (UTC)

I heard there was a need for more reviewers, and I'm here to help. I read WP:NPP and followed the links to processes that I'm unfamiliar with (e.g. requesting histmerges). Most of the linked policies I'm familiar with from my editing work (e.g. deletion processes, notability guidelines). I also read Page Curation/Help and watched the video tour. I've been registered for more than 90 days (log), have made more than 500 recent non-reverted or uncontroversial edits to Article space (Edit Counter), and have a clean block log. - I think Firefangledfeathers would make a great patroller. (t · c) buidhe 20:05, 28 May 2022 (UTC)

Why not? I would like to help out with the backlog and make myself useful. I can help out with Aviation articles and sports articles. Cherrell410 (talk) 22:35, 28 May 2022 (UTC)
- You have created a number of new pages that have been deleted, the most recent being less than 2 weeks ago. Also, as far as I can tell, your experience at WP:AFD includes only one case. That doesn't give me confidence that you understand what constitutes an acceptable new page, although I am confident that you can follow the guidelines in the tutorial linked at the top of this page.
- Due to my own inexperience reviewing these requests, I will leave it to another administrator to accept or reject your request. Perhaps a probationary period of 1-3 months? ~Anachronist (talk) 05:30, 30 May 2022 (UTC)

I have been editing since 2003, and have started over 500 articles, some of which have gone on to achieve FA or GA status. For the past year or so, I have occasionally reviewed articles listed under AfC, and, as a result, have also engaged with other editors about how to improve proposed articles or why the articles do not yet meet inclusion criteria. I am a Wikimedia UK-accredited trainer, and so also have experience of advising new editors on creating and improving content, whether in-person, online in real-time, or, asynchronously, via Talk pages, etc. I have, I think, managed to remain civil through all of my engagements with other Wikipedians, new or existing, and believe that I can maintain that approach in NPR. About 10 days ago I applied for WP:NPPS under the fine tutelege of Atsme in hopes of becoming a reviewer and learning more about policy and such with 1-on-1 assistance. As of today, I have passed per Special:PermaLink/1090890704. I would like the user right so I may assist with the backlog and further assist in this area of Wikipedia! —Sirdog (talk) 00:39, 1 June 2022 (UTC)

Would like to help with the backlog, I believe I've a decent understanding of notability guidelines and relevant WP policies to do so. My CSD logs, my XFD logs and my PROD logs. Thanks, Dark-World25 (talk) 11:26, 1 June 2022 (UTC)
