Decora Blind Systems Deleted
→ in re: Decora Blind Systems ( | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views), Draft:Decora Blind Systems ( | talk | history | links | watch | logs)
Hey, I'm wondering how come Decora Blind Systems was deleted? I'm not sure if you read the article, but it was focused on the history of the company back to 1979, up to the recent investment of £10 million by the Business Growth Fund. It included references to many local newspapers discussing the company's growth, references to the owner's on the Irish Rich List by The Times, Irish politicians praising the business in the BBC, and their recent acquisition of several significant retailers across Europe and Australia. Decora don't offer any online retail, so the article was not created with the intention of advertising. I followed the same format as Hillarys Blinds and Hunter Douglas, should those be removed? Regarding the deletion of "IndieGala"
→ in re: IndieGala ( | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views)
The original IndieGala page was removed out of lack of references and low content. I researched and remade it in its entirety, by taking inspiration and even adapting other existing pages from the same industry branch, such as HumbleBundle, GreenManGaming etc. some were taken word by word. This page stood up, just like others for years until then. It is an over 10 year old site with a certain reputation already. The updated version contained information about the evolution from a small bundle retailer to an independent publisher/developer, charity contributor and involvement in various controversies, all factually documented by reputable sites and sources. I am not sure in what way can the article be considered Promotional when factual information is presented as well as negative criticism brought, as well as various sources to support it. Unless counting sourcing 10 year or articles that present their first bundle as promotion, of course.
Please advise upon what part constitutes "promotion" in what way can it be improved in order to not go against the rules. — Preceding unsigned comment added by StevenCojo (talk • contribs) 23:50, 14 January 2022 (UTC)

202-206 East Bay Street
My only concern with deleting that one is that I've seen an editor redirect to similarly formatted article titles from, say, 202–206 East Bay Street, because people aren't likely to type the "–" version of the dash in the search, so the inclusion of the hyphen(?) redirect solves that. Made a bit of sense to me, but I don't think it's a biggie; I don't see many people typing such an address into a Wikipedia search.
Edit: seems a bot has taken care of it now. Seasider53 (talk) 22:46, 7 February 2022 (UTC)

Draft:Shaskvir has been recreated. While looking at the undeletion request at RFU, I saw that you had blocked user:Shaskvir and a couple of socks in Feb 2019. Apart from this draft, the page has been re-created many times at different titles and by multiple SPA users, as "Shaskvir", "Shask Vir", and "Draft:Shashank Saurabh" by user:Shaskvir1, user:Sukesh.ranjan and user:Aryanvir1991. Hello Athaenara,
I requested the page Paul Chiy to be deleted which you did a few weeks ago -- thank you. I am now recreating the article to a standard which meets Wikipedia's requirements and declaring my conflict of interest. It said to contact you to tell you that I am recreating the article so I am contacting you here to let you know. Sobhan Muckherjee
→ in re: Sobhan Mukherjee ( | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views), Draft:Sobhan Mukherjee ( | talk | history | links | watch | logs)
- Undeletion of recently published article 'Sobhan Mukherjee'
I would like to state that as the writer, I am just a third person and am not paid by anyone through any means for writing the article. The article has been written by me considering nothing but facts that are true and authentic and respective references were also added. However the article was deleted after it was nominated for speedy deletion. I requested to know the areas having problem and needing revision in the contest to deletion section but wasn't answered and the article was deleted. I request the undeletion of the article and clarification regarding the areas that need revision so that the article can be published. Thank you. Anonymous Atronauch (talk) 19:56, 23 February 2022 (UTC)
I would once again request sincerely that the article 'Sobhan Mukherjee' be undeleted because everything written in it was nothing but true and authentic facts without any intention of being biased by me. Furthermore, the search traffic had increased greatly for the search of the article since its publication because there are many individuals who want to know and read the article on Sobhan Mukherjee. If there was any area which seemed promotional, biased or spam and posed a problem towards its publication, it was unintentional and I wish to know the areas so that it could be revised. But I would once again like to kindly request the administrator to undelete and restore the article 'Sobhan Mukherjee.' Also, in reply the above given link with the 'Sobhan Mukherjee' has no article linked to it as can be seen. I sincerely wish the restoration of the article. Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Anonymous Atronauch (talk • contribs) 03:21, 24 February 2022 (UTC)

Renuar Locaj draft
→ in re: Draft:Renuar Locaj ( | talk | history | links | watch | logs)
This page is not unambiguously promotional, because Locaj is a well-known artist in Albania. He is an ambassador for his country and it seems his last work on migration documents the pain and sacrifice of refugees. I believe he should be part of the greatest free encyclopedia in a neutral tone — Preceding unsigned comment added by WikiEDDE (talk • contribs) 09:19, 19 March 2022 (UTC)
- @WikiEDDE: On the contrary, it was very obviously promotional, which is another way of saying what is meant when a page is tagged {{db-g11}} for deletion as "unambiguous advertising or promotion": it was not written in the appropriately neutral encyclopedic tone which Wikipedia policies and guidelines require. – Athaenara ✉ 10:00, 19 March 2022 (UTC)
Deleting to make room for moves
Athaenara, when you delete a page to move another page there, you need to make sure that the page you deleted becomes a redirect, rather than creating a bunch of orphan red links all over wikipedia and external links. I've created Garuda Indonesia Flight 542 as the redirect, but if I hadn't had it on my watchlist, this would have been a redlink with links all over the place.
Thanks, Oiyarbepsy (talk) 05:14, 21 March 2022 (UTC)
- Noted, thanks. Generally I avoid that category because it's not always clear how (or when!) somebody else is going to follow up on those pages. – Athaenara ✉ 05:27, 21 March 2022 (UTC)
- Well, as the admin, you must be the one to make sure the redirect works, since we have no idea when anyone else will see it, and you're the one who knows exactly when it was deleted. Oiyarbepsy (talk) 03:25, 22 March 2022 (UTC)
- I undeleted the previous revisions so the entire page history will be preserved. – Athaenara ✉ 11:42, 21 March 2022 (UTC)
Not assuming good faith in edit summaries
Hi there, just to let you know that your edit summary of "some vandal switched cold and warm air: it's an inversion when warm air, which normally rises, is trapped beneath stagnant cold air, which normally sinks" on Great Smog of London was poor faith, and inaccurate. Checking the article history shows that that error has always been there - right back to the article's inception here from 12:17h 20 September 2009:
"On Thursday 4th December 1952, an anticyclone settled over a windless London causing a temperature inversion with very cold, stagnant air trapped under a layer (or "lid") of warm air."
Whilst your edit was correct, this isn't the first occasion where you've declared your changes to be reverting vandalism when that isn't the case. Fortunately this time it hasn't affected any other editors, but please take more care in both edits and assumptions, thanks. Chaheel Riens (talk) 17:11, 25 March 2022 (UTC)
- I understand "the article's inception" to be the first edit which created the page. That 00:15, 12 August 2003 edit included, "air pollution was trapped by the heavy layer of cold air", which is correct. It was not contradicted until nearly six years later, when an edit timestamped 12:58, 21 June 2009 introduced "cold, stagnant air becoming trapped under a layer (or "lid") of warm air". – Athaenara ✉ 18:40, 25 March 2022 (UTC)
- Apologies - for some reason The first edit in the article history came up as the one I linked to. Nevertheless - you are avoiding the issue at hand that you made presumptions in your edit summary. Funnily enough, this is what you did last time as well - ignored the reason for contacting you, and fixated on something else to appear blameless. Chaheel Riens (talk) 19:16, 25 March 2022 (UTC)

Venus Remedies Deletion
→ in re: Draft:Venus Remedies ( | talk | history | links | watch | logs), see also User talk:SaffronHeart, User talk:BhargavKrishna97
Thanks for your deletion of the article I nominated! To me, it was clear that you deleted it using G11, which is evident from the deletion log. However, the creator, BhargavKrishna97, insisted that the article was neutral and informative (which seemed the contrary to me as it was like an advert), and said you invalidly deleted using G8 (however, that is because the page was dependent on the deleted G11 one). I believe those assertions to be incorrect, hence, could you look into this and kindly advise the editor? Many thanks. VickKiang (talk) 08:53, 28 March 2022 (UTC)
- @VickKiang: Your tagging was correct, it was an advertisement which the company would have been happy to have on their own homepage and should not be undeleted. – Athaenara ✉ 09:09, 28 March 2022 (UTC)
- Can you please share more details on what makes my draft an advertisement. Please, I request you to help me understand why you believe the article would be tagged as an advertisement? BhargavKrishna97 (talk) 09:16, 28 March 2022 (UTC)
- Hi @Athaenara
- I am 100% sure that the nominator, @VickKiang did not take the right decision by nominating my draft of Venus Remedies Limited for deletion under G11. Upon enquiring onto why he came to the specific conclusion that it is an advert or promotional write up, he just mentioned that I have used the word "Innovation". Truthfully there is not even one mention of the word in the main company description, the one he is pointing at is actually the name of few awards which are received by the company. I believe as people, we are no one to change or modify the names of awards which are officially awarded to specific entities.
- This shows that editor did not review the article from a neutral mindset and he did not pay attention to various segments or where exactly certain words are placed which may be questionable. As a person who is dedicated towards contributing to the decentralization of Wiki, I strongly believe in incorporating only neutral and independent information onto Wiki space.
- I would like to know your thoughts about the same issue. Please understand what I am trying to convey. BhargavKrishna97 (talk) 09:14, 28 March 2022 (UTC)

- @Mambablaq.1: Consider the following passage as just one example:
- Rivera claims the throne of King of Fashion with his unorthodox approach to fashion. He is quoted as saying “There no limits in fashion, I see it as art. Every piece is special and everyone observes it differently. I push the boundaries with my work and I want my audience to have a visual experience unimagined.”
- That kind of writing may be suitable for a fan magazine or in the subject's own advertisements. It does not belong in an encyclopedia. – Athaenara ✉ 18:00, 28 March 2022 (UTC)

Athaenara, you deleted Navi Group as a G11, immediately after Graeme Bartlett restored it as a deleted PROD. I would assume Graeme would not have restored it if he saw it as problematic. I have declined the second undeletion request, but I wanted to know why you think the article was not neutral? Why do you think the article content could not be converted into a neutral tone, if it was not? Also, I notice no one had tagged the page for G11, nor did you tag it, but deleted it outright. New European Bauhaus

Hello Athaenara! I am new to Wikipedia and i submitted my first article yesterday : Draft:New European Bauhaus. Few times later it was deleted, and I noticed you tagged G11 and G12 on. Is it possible to get back the article and edit it ? If you say that the presentation seems directed by a promotion purpose, i obviously need to write differently some paragraphs. The purpose of this page is not to promote a company or a product, but to present an artistic movement launched by the European Commission, which makes date and reference like the historical Bauhaus movement. The point of view of this page is neutral because it's about providing information to the Wikipedia community about the context in which contemporary artistic projects emerge these last two years in Europe, so i think it totally deserves to be included. Thank you for your time Salila.sihou (talk) 10:26, 5 April 2022 (UTC)
- No, it won't be undeleted. If this is the only topic you intend to write about here, you must declare your conflict of interest in promoting the subject (see {{UserboxCOI}}). – Athaenara ✉ 10:42, 5 April 2022 (UTC)
