Thanks for placing my new New York photos in the appropriate articles... I was a bit lazy to do it myself. Kestreltail (talk) 03:22, 27 April 2021 (UTC)

Mos langs
Thanks for the explanation, do you have a link to the WT:MOS where it was discussed i couldn't find it. Just for future ref—blindlynx (talk) 17:26, 28 April 2021 (UTC)
- @Blindlynx: I do not, it's in the archives somewhere. Obviously MOS:RETAIN reflects the outcome of the discussions, but you'll have to search for the discussions themselves, as all this was decided some time ago, and for better or for worse is now treated as though written on stone tablets handed on from high. Personally I think that ENGVAR is something that writers care about far more than readers, who either are not bothered because articles use mixed forms, or are bothered but only because the article is full of what they think are misspellings (schoolchildren are particularly prone to this) when it's written in a variant they don't use, in which case it's not the lack of consistency that's at issue. You could always start another discussion at WT:MOS but unless things have changed, and assuming my recollection is correct it's likely to be a less than collegial environment. - cool thanks. Honestly i don't have the patience to deal with MOS minutia at the moment but thanks for the revert and info all the same!—blindlynx (talk) 18:01, 28 April 2021 (UTC)

- @Blindlynx: One thing further. I'm about out of time for this for at least the next few days. So unfortunately any messages here will either be unanswered, or will be answered, but not by me as I'm using a security app to edit.Long story short, some idiots were mucking about on my mobile range and it was appropriately range-blocked. To continue editing I turned on a free-mobile security app, but I'm pretty sure it gives everyone this same IP; luckily the vandals are too dull to realise that they could continue just by downloading any one of dozens of free-security apps, but even if there's less people on this connection, it is a free app so I'm definitely sharing it with some people. Most people will be viewing through the mobile interface and so won't see messages directed here, but if they're tethering or using the desktop view on their phones they will, so YMMV.Anyway If I have time next week, and you need help with something else I may be able to assist you then. - Good to know. i asssume you'll keep an eye on this page even if your IP changes?—blindlynx (talk) 18:26, 28 April 2021 (UTC)

Welcome!
Hello, 31.41.45.190, and Welcome to Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia! You don't have to log in to read or edit articles on Wikipedia, but creating an account is quick, free and non-intrusive, requires no personal information, and gives you many benefits, including:
- The use of a username of your choice, provided that it is appropriate. If it is not appropriate, you will be blocked.
- The use of your own personal watchlist to which you can add articles that interest you.
- The ability to start new pages.
- The ability to rename pages.
- The ability to edit semi-protected pages, which are the ones with the silver locks.
- The ability to upload images. You can also upload music as well!
- The ability to customize the appearance and behavior of the website.
- The eligibility to become an administrator and a bureaucrat.
- Your IP address will no longer be visible to other users, because there are bad people in the world that try to do bad stuff.
We hope you enjoy your time here on Wikipedia and that you choose to become a Wikipedian by creating an account. Feel free to ask me any questions you may have on my talk page. By the way, you should sign your name to your posts and comments with 4 tildes:~~~~.

- @HelenDegenerate: While I appreciate your kind offer, I think it's best if I just stay logged-out and keep on just trying to just help out here and there when I can. It's a fairly widely shared IP though so maybe you'll get someone else to sign on. Regards, 31.41.45.190 (talk) 16:42, 8 May 2021 (UTC)
Redirect revert
Thanks for the edit. As I was editing via the WP Mobile App I did not realize it was a redirect. (The app allows editors to add a description without actually looking at the text of the article.) – S. Rich (talk) 18:01, 8 May 2021 (UTC)
- @Srich32977: No worries, I make the occasional mistake/misclick myself, happy to be of service. Regards, 31.41.45.190 (talk) 18:03, 8 May 2021 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but in this edit you removed a speedy deletion tag from Draft:Owen Hurcum, a page you have created yourself. If you believe the page should not be deleted, you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Contest this speedy deletion which appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. signed, Iflaq (talk) 16:59, 16 May 2021 (UTC)
- @Iflaq: really I created the page? Do you even bother to check the diffs or history before spamming people's talk pages using semi-automated tools. It's WP:BITE-y nonsensical messages like this that drive people away, please exercise more care in the future. Regards, 31.41.45.190 (talk) 17:02, 16 May 2021 (UTC)

Regarding IP 119.160.119.213
Hi, just received your ping at the WP:RfPP. I have since moved your message to my talk page which is semi-protected so I figured I would just reply here. You're welcome and since I don't perform range-blocks so next time just report directly to the WP:AIV, if they return. Thanks, --Ashleyyoursmile! 17:33, 26 May 2021 (UTC)
- @Ashleyyoursmile: can do, I appreciate the prompt follow up. Regards, 31.41.45.190 (talk) 17:47, 26 May 2021 (UTC)
