Draft:Trustworthiness (technical system)
Mabuus, this draft was refunded in April 2020, and then was deleted again in October after no edits were made to improve it. Will the draft be worked on this time if it is restored again? – Muboshgu (talk) 21:57, 8 July 2021 (UTC)
from Mabuus: I agree with this refunded/non-working delay: This description is based on newer research on the topic (Industrial Internet Consortium, NIST) and was delayed due delay in documents on which is Wikipedia item is based on - we wanted to wait until the documents are really published to be used as reference. This publication finally happened in the last days and now we are ready to go with the Wikipedia entry. So please refund the draft again. mabu (talk) 21:50, 14 July 2021 (UTC)
You said "done" but the draft page is still not visible. Does this mean that the page will not be restored or that this process takes some time to complete?74.93.98.98 (talk) 16:27, 16 July 2021 (UTC)
- The draft is live at Draft:Trustworthiness (technical system). – Muboshgu (talk) 16:43, 16 July 2021 (UTC)
from mabuus: I apologize for my question: I had stored an incorrect link in my bookmarks, not double-check the correct link. I can see now the page and our team will start editing as soon as possible! Thanks for refunding it and for all the additional conversation around this. That was very helpful. mabu (talk) 23:31, 20 July 2021 (UTC)
Proposed deletion of Luke Prokop
The article Luke Prokop has been proposed for deletion. The proposed deletion notice added to the article should explain why.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

2021 NHL expansion
We folks at WP:HOCKEY are for the most part content with our hard fought consensus on where to & not to use diacritics on hockey articles. Let's leave it at that. GoodDay (talk) 01:08, 22 July 2021 (UTC)
- GoodDay, please point me to this. I cannot fathom a reason to suppress diactirics. – Muboshgu (talk) 01:09, 22 July 2021 (UTC)
- here it is, as you requested. GoodDay (talk) 01:15, 22 July 2021 (UTC)
- GoodDay, that is not what you said it was. – Muboshgu (talk) 01:19, 22 July 2021 (UTC)
- The NHL is within North America & it's not a strictly French language league. Thus we don't use diacritics. GoodDay (talk) 01:22, 22 July 2021 (UTC)
- GoodDay, I meant the discussion that built the consensus, but never mind this. This is reminding me of why I'm not involved in the hockey wikiproject. – Muboshgu (talk) 01:32, 22 July 2021 (UTC)
- Just accept that the compromise works. We've also compromised with the folks over at the Baltic countries. We use "Soviet Union" for birth/death country on hockey article bios, while they continue to use "Estonia, Latvia & Lithuania" on other bio articles, concerning the 1940 to 1991 era. GoodDay (talk) 01:35, 22 July 2021 (UTC)
- I can dig them up if you really want them (though I'd advise saving those cognitive cells for something else less stultifying), but to summarize: over the years, there has been disagreement on English Wikipedia regarding how to apply the guidance on using commonly recognizable names for persons whose names are spelled with modified Latin letters. Some people think if a source uses a spelling other than that of the original language, it's automatically not reliable with regards to the spelling of that name. (It's been a while since the last big discussion on this, in which the votes were almost split equally on both sides.) There were some ice hockey editors who felt strongly about using the spelling of NHL players as commonly used by North American media, and those who did not. Accordingly, the compromise solution was proposed by GoodDay and used to stop edit warring, in absence of project-wide guidance. These days, there are a lot fewer hockey editors who insist on not using modified letters, and NHL teams are starting to put accents on player sweaters, so it's quite possible that within the next year, the guidance will change. isaacl (talk) 01:48, 22 July 2021 (UTC)
- Issacl, the last bit about the future. Please, don't make me ill. GoodDay (talk) 01:52, 22 July 2021 (UTC)
- Isaacl, thank you for the explanation, rather than
Just accept that the compromise works
. I wrongly assumed that MOS:DIACRITICS would have guidance on this and am surprised on that. You can definitely hold off on sending me down that rabbit hole. – Muboshgu (talk) 02:57, 22 July 2021 (UTC)- Yeah, the guidance at Wikipedia:Naming conventions (use English) § Modified letters also says the use of modified letters is neither encouraged or discouraged. (I think the last big discussion took place on the corresponding talk page. During that time, someone tried to create an English WikiProject to promote the use of English and non-modified letters. It got deleted as a vehicle for canvassing, as I recall.) Though it's possible that the community might no longer be split on the issue, it's just one of those many areas where those who went through the discussions in the past aren't enthused about going through them again. isaacl (talk) 03:57, 22 July 2021 (UTC)

Hi Muboshgu, I included plenty of sources, and this individual is clearly notable enough as a state executive and gubernatorial candidate. Can you give me more information on what I should change to clear the notability hurdle?? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Banjosound (talk • contribs) 18:20, July 21, 2021 (UTC)
- @Banjosound:, it's up to the community, not me. If those are all the sources there are, I don't think she's notable. – Muboshgu (talk) 01:35, 22 July 2021 (UTC)

A discussion is taking place to address the redirect Rafael DePaula. Brady Feigl
This redirects to the Padres minor leagues list. Surprisingly, there seem to be two Brady Feigls in the minors - a pitcher at AA in the Oakland system, and a pitcher on the 60-day IL for the Padres AAA team. Do you think this name is going to be worth disambiguating, or how should this be addressed? He's got a section at the Padres page and is mentioned in a roster table at the A's one. Twitter sources
In [1] this edit, you restored two uses of Twitter posts as sources. If this was not intentional (I hope), may I ask you to re-remove them? (I may not check in for a few days, else I would offer to do it myself.) --JBL (talk) 14:52, 3 August 2021 (UTC)
