- Please watch the notes on the section before changing apparently incorrect spelling on Annie in Wonderland. You aren't the first, and I don't suppose you'll be the last, but I rendered the sleeve notes verbatim for a reason. Request edit history delete
Hi. I edited an article on wikipedia but i forgot to log in. Can you please delete my edit revision please. The page name is Hindu Shahis. Can you delete the last revision without login that shows the ip adress. Thanks Modcheck2002 (talk) 02:17, 27 June 2021 (UTC)
- Not necessary to delete it –- you could have just undone it, but it looks like someone else has already done that. It also looks like you're getting involved in an edit war – I'd suggest you start a discussion on the talk page to get a consensus before one or the other of you ends up getting blocked. Mlaffs (talk) 02:24, 27 June 2021 (UTC)
Yes but im new in wikipedia and I didnt knew how it works if im not logged in. I searched that administrators can manage this issue. I just want the ip adress to be removed. Can you please remove it from the edit history because it shows my ip adress Modcheck2002 (talk) 02:31, 27 June 2021 (UTC)
- Looks like I've been beaten to it again. Glad someone was able to help you out. Mlaffs (talk) 02:54, 27 June 2021 (UTC)
Utah translator rebuilds
Thanks for doing some of the updating. I had planned to do more of these, but FCCdata removed the very helpful translator listing by station for TV, which made that job a lot harder. The TVQ → LMS conversion and removal of hidden boxes (per MOS) still need to be done on a good number of these pages. I've been told also that some of the KJZZ translators have changed to rebroadcast other multiplexes (since they can't relay the ATSC 3.0 transmission and all of the former KJZZ channels are carried on other muxes that are also rebroadcast), but there is no reliable information. Sammi Brie (she/her • t • c) 05:29, 29 June 2021 (UTC)
- My pleasure. Gnome-work like this has always been my jam, first on radio and then eventually on TV too. I actually save the pages out of the FCC's Actions and Broadcast Actions reports each day that have relevant info in them, and then peck away at it as I have the time. I'd had a massive backlog of TV stuff especially that I hadn't got around to, because there's been so much activity with the repack, but I've been able to plow through most of that somehow over the last couple of months. Still have about 40-odd to look at from February/March, but I'll probably be through that by the end of the week and then I should be caught up, at which point I'll start look at what's left on the channel 38 through 51 lists and see which ones have snuck past me.
- FWIW, I tend to use RabbitEars to source the rebroadcast info. Not a reliable source, per se, but probably about as reliable as anything out there.
- And if you're the one who's been doing the work on reformatting those hidden boxes, nice job. Those damn things have been the bane of my existence for years – the formatting is such a pain in the ass when you need to add or remove an entry. Although the TelevisionTranslators template isn't much better. Mlaffs (talk) 13:22, 29 June 2021 (UTC)
- Doesn't help when there are translators that rebroadcast several main stations. I think some of the CO ones are like that. So too are a few in southern California. Sammi Brie (she/her • t • c) 20:38, 29 June 2021 (UTC)

WINC (AM)/WZFC page move
Hey Mlaffs, when you (or a page stalker) get a free moment, could you do a page move for WINC (AM) to WZFC, please? I ain't happy about it. After 80(!) years as WINC, it's had it's callsign changed to WZFC! Pathetic! Anyway, the former WZFC is now WKDV-FM, but that move I took care of myself. But WZFC is now a redirect and that leaves me unable to move the pages, hence the need for help. I'd appreciate it. - Neutralhomer • Talk • 07:11, 2 July 2021 (UTC)
- Done – I disambiguated the title for the next little while though. Thought it was best given that WKDV-FM held the WZFC call sign for the last 10 years. I've also repointed all the incoming links and created the disambiguation page. Mlaffs (talk) 03:49, 3 July 2021 (UTC)
- Yeah, that perfect. :) I'll be honest, I'm a little heartbroken on this one. 80 years under the same callsign and it it's just throw away, it stinks. :( Anyway, thanks for your help on the move there. - Neutralhomer • Talk • 04:35, 3 July 2021 (UTC)

- Consensus has been reached to delete all books in the book namespace. There was rough consensus that the deleted books should still be available on request at WP:REFUND even after the namespace is removed.
- An RfC is open to discuss the next steps following a trial which automatically applied pending changes to TFAs.
- IP addresses of unregistered users are to be hidden from everyone. There is a rough draft of how IP addresses may be shown to users who need to see them. This currently details allowing administrators, checkusers, stewards and those with a new usergroup to view the full IP address of unregistered users. Editors with at least 500 edits and an account over a year old will be able to see all but the end of the IP address in the proposal. The ability to see the IP addresses hidden behind the mask would be dependent on agreeing to not share the parts of the IP address they can see with those who do not have access to the same information. Accessing part of or the full IP address of a masked editor would also be logged. Comments on the draft are being welcomed at the talk page.
- The community authorised COVID-19 general sanctions have been superseded by the COVID-19 discretionary sanctions following a motion at a case request. Alerts given and sanctions placed under the community authorised general sanctions are now considered alerts for and sanctions under the new discretionary sanctions.

WMTO-LP
I think WMTO-LP continues to broadcast on 87.7 per this article from RadioInsight. I don't know much about the "Franken-FMs", since I don't have one in my area (except that one out of DC that occasionally comes in). To me, though, the way I read this, is that when they get this STA, they can continue broadcasting on 87.7 and be in digital. Technically how that is possible, I haven't the slightest clue, but I thought I'd let you know. :) Hope all is well with you. :) - Neutralhomer • Talk • 05:14, 19 July 2021 (UTC)
- Neutralhomer, ATSC 3.0 doesn't need the full 6 MHz channel to be broadcast. The ATSC 3.0 + 87.7 STAs allow for the transmission of an ATSC 3.0 multiplex on the lower 5.509 MHz of the channel with an audio signal on the upper 491 kHz. That multiplex has to contain one synchronized audio and video service—we know the Chicago one has Jewelry Television. ATSC 1.0 doesn't support this "shorting" of the channel; ATSC 3.0 is key to the feasibility of this kind of operation. Sammi Brie (she/her • t • c) 06:07, 19 July 2021 (UTC)
- @Sammi Brie: So, it has the 87.7 as a secondary audio channel or as a subchannel? - Neutralhomer • Talk • 06:10, 19 July 2021 (UTC)
- Neutralhomer, the audio is completely outside of the ATSC 3.0 transmission. Think of it like this. The television channel is a road, six lanes wide, next to the sea (the FM band). They took out part of a lane and built a bike path (the FM audio service). There are still five and a half lanes for TV "traffic" (which with ATSC 3.0 likely someday will include lots of data) and then a half-lane-wide bike path adjacent to 88 MHz. Sammi Brie (she/her • t • c) 06:13, 19 July 2021 (UTC)
- @Sammi Brie: OK, let me make sure I understand. So, the TV signal is digital, but it has the radio signal still in analog? Correct? - Neutralhomer • Talk • 06:20, 19 July 2021 (UTC)
- Neutralhomer, Correct. And the TV signal takes up less room than normal to make that possible. Sammi Brie (she/her • t • c) 06:23, 19 July 2021 (UTC)
- @Sammi Brie: OK, that makes sense. I would still call that a "secondary audio channel", like some PBS affiliates carry a blind reading channel, but I do understand better now. :) - Neutralhomer • Talk • 06:25, 19 July 2021 (UTC)

- Thanks, Neutralhomer – I ended up seeing that RadioInsight piece right around the same time I got your note. I've gone back and reverted/adjusted a handful of my edits for this station to reflect the new reality. Probably a few other stations to revert as well, and others to keep watch on. Mlaffs (talk) 00:53, 21 July 2021 (UTC)
- You're Welcome! :) I'm sure RadioInsight will have updates as they become available. They are a highly reliable source, so definitely one to keep an eye on. :) - Neutralhomer • Talk • 02:36, 21 July 2021 (UTC)
