First Aired
If nothing is entered in the |first_aired=
parameter, the infobox displays like this:
[template instance redacted]
Could someone fix this please? Or alternatively does the doc need to be updated to state the field is mandatory? Mhiji (talk) 05:13, 23 November 2010 (UTC)
- Done, it is now optional. AnemoneProjectors 10:06, 23 November 2010 (UTC)
Logo image
Can a field be added so a logo image can be added at the top of the infobox? This wouldn't apply in most cases as TV seasons don't tend to have their own logo, but The X Factor: Battle of the Stars needs it really. –anemoneprojectors– 19:22, 22 February 2011 (UTC)
- I second the motion, sometimes there are special logos for different seasons in different shows. --Kartoffel 07 14:28, 28 August 2012 (UTC)
Heading + sub-heading
I propose that we put the season into the same cell as the series-name, preferably as one line, otherwise separated by <br />. The former is what already happens on {{Infobox television season}}. I think that it will read better, and it will facilitate the addition of an hCalendar microformat, as also already used in {{Infobox television season}}

Not all reality competitions are about music. In addition to being used for shows like The X Factor and Idol, this template is also used for Britain's Got Talent, America's Got Talent and all other expansions of the Got Talent franchise, which are not just about music, they are about all forms of talent. Australia
Australia uses series as well, so should the documentation be adapted for Australian shows too?
- seems reasonable, but the better way of handling this is the method used by {{infobox television}}. Frietjes (talk) 17:32, 6 July 2013 (UTC)
Use of coach
Coach doesn't work on the template --MSalmon (talk) 19:26, 17 September 2013 (UTC)
- fixed. Frietjes (talk) 19:37, 17 September 2013 (UTC)
- thanks, what about the infobox for television --MSalmon (talk) 21:16, 17 September 2013 (UTC)
- as at template talk:Infobox television. Frietjes (talk) 22:31, 17 September 2013 (UTC)

Logo parameter change
I'm proposing a change to either
- Change the name of the logo parameter to image or
- Add an image parameter
This would allow for other images (that are typically allowed in season articles) to be added into the infobox without confusion like a promotional image. TheDoctorWho (talk) 01:35, 27 February 2019 (UTC)
- There is already an
|image=
parameter for a different image field. I can add an alt name|image1=
(or something) for logo if that's what you want. Side note: this template should really either be merged with Template:Infobox reality competition season or changed to a sub-module like it. --Gonnym (talk) 08:00, 27 February 2019 (UTC) - @Gonnym: Both of those options would work. I just ran into a problem recently where an editor was removing a promotional image recently because it "was not a logo" even though the image would be accepted on any other season article. As for the side note I also agree with the merging. TheDoctorWho (talk) 00:07, 1 March 2019 (UTC)
