- (Discuss) – Racial sexual preference → Sexual racism – The name of this phenomenon is "sexual racism." That's what's used in the scientific literature. "Racial sexual preference" is a euphemism that is not used in the scientific literature. As another stated, there are over a thousand articles on Google scholar that discuss sexual racism. There are only 12 that use the euphemism "racialized sexual discrimination" and 41 that use "racial sexual preferences." And there is support in the literature that people's attitudes towards general racism closely align with their attitudes towards sexual racism. See Callandar, Holt, Newman (2015). The current article title violates NPOV in this way. Fluous (talk) 19:14, 7 February 2021 (UTC)

- (Discuss) – Australian Gamer → Guy Blomberg – There has been little to no news coverage of the Australian Gamer website or Matt Burgess, but Guy Blomberg appears to be in quite a few news sources. The article's contents could potentially be merged with the article on Gameplanet or Mana Bar. I'm recommending the move instead because I think the contents of this article and the available sources are more relevant to Guy Blomberg and because this is one of multiple projects that Blomberg has worked on. I would also consider merging Mana Bar into Guy Blomberg because he was the creator of the establishment and there isn't a ton of news coverage on the Mana Bar either (other than primary sources), but all of his projects compiled into a single article under his name would better meet the notability guidelines of Wikipedia. - (Discuss) – Cooperative gameplay → cooperative video game – The current article discussed here is very much about video games, and not about wider 'gameplay', and is occupying a generic term that is relevant to cooperative board games or game-theory concepts. Cooperative gameplay is an ambiguous term and should be a redirect targeting to a disambig (and for that purpose, I just created a disambig for Cooperative game). For said reasons I suggest that this article is renamed to cooperative video game (to mirror the existing clearly defined article on cooperative board game). - (Discuss) – Stewart Island → Stewart Island / Rakiura – Launching this discussion again as it has been several years since the last move request, during which time acceptance and use of dual place names has increased dramatically in New Zealand. The dual name is used by many official sources and businesses, including the Ministry of Culture and Heritage in Te Ara / the Encyclopedia of New Zealand, the Department of Conservation, the AA, local community organisations and NGOs, the International Dark-Sky Association, Lonely Planet and Southland District Council. Local residents of the island who have engaged in previous discussions on the name (such as in Talk:Stewart Island#Article name) have mentioned the frequent use of Rakiura alongside Stewart Island (or instead of it) on the island itself, and the official name of the island as per the NZGB Gazetteer is Stewart Island / Rakiura. Making this change would bring Stewart Island more in line with the dozens of articles on New Zealand places which also have official dual place names, including Milford Sound / Piopiotahi, Aoraki / Mount Cook, Clutha River / Mata-Au, Whakaari / White Island, and nearby Codfish Island / Whenua Hou. Previous discussions have taken place several years ago, since which time Māori place names across New Zealand have gained much greater acceptance and widespread use, both in their official capacity in dual names and in unofficial use to refer to places without dual names (such as referring to Christchurch as Ōtautahi). Several arguments in the past move requests have also consisted of opposition to the dual name format generally (which is negated by the dual name being recognised in WP:NZNC and by the consistency to the many other dual place names mentioned above), or alternatively that people don't have understanding of naming conventions for NZ articles with dual names / the extent to which dual names are now used. These arguments don't stack up in the current environment, especially when taken against the growing prevalence of the dual place name in New Zealand generally and its widespread use to refer to the island. - (Discuss) – Erbil → Hawler – From studying Sorani and researching the history of Kurdistan Region, it is clear that the local name of the city to its residents, and to the majority of people living in Kurdistan Region, is Hawler, versus the foreign Arab name “Irbil” for the city. Propose renaming the article “Hawler” to reflect the name as it is called by its residents and by the greater Kurdistan Region, the same way as the article on Kyiv is named “Kyiv” (the local, Ukrainian name of the city) versus “Kiev” (the Russian/former Soviet name for the city). AFAIK this is consistent with Wikipedia’s policy of preferring national/local names for cities, versus the names imposed on them by foreigners, colonists, outside empires, and/or conquerors. Full disclosure: I have no personal bias/partiality toward this subject; proposing this change out of a good-faith impartial concern for NPOV. PowerPCG5 (talk) 00:31, 7 February 2021 (UTC)

- (Discuss) – Chesterfield (disambiguation) → Chesterfield – No clear primary topic, Chesterfield (cigarette) gets more views (5,899) than the Derbyshire town (5,819) though its football club gets 9,213 its unlikely it would bring in enough views for "Chesterfield" alone in terms of WP:DABCONCEPT to make the town primary. Chesterfield, Missouri has a population of 47,484 compared to the Derbyshire town's 88,483 (the district is 103,801 and urban area is 114,168) however its common to treat the state as part of the name per WP:USPLACE and it looks to be a suburb rather than a distinct settlement. Chesterfield coat gets 1,739. Google only shows the town though that's probably partly due to my location but Images mainly returns the couch and Books does return some results for the Earl though he's a PTM. While its likely that most of the other uses do derive from this one that's not determitive and its unlikely that the Staffordshire one does. Note to closer if moved links for the post 1974 district should be changed to Borough of Chesterfield since even though it doesn't yet have an article is maybe should, see User:Crouch, Swale/District split. - (Discuss) – Churchill (disambiguation) → Churchill – No clear primary topic for "Churchill" alone, the WW2 leader has 555,081 but the tank has 17,87014. When I Google Churchill although there are more results for Winston the 1st result is the insurance company which to many people in England will also mean. There is also John Churchill, 1st Duke of Marlborough and Winston Churchill (novelist) though these are probably known as plain "Churchill" less often and get less views15. There are also a large number of places (of which in England the surname derives from) as well as Churchill, Manitoba which is known for bears. I think listing Winston at the top is sufficient for readers using only his last name since although he is sometimes called "Churchill" alone he is usually referred to by his full name except where the context is clear (such as wars/politics) while the company is always called "Churchill". - (Discuss) – Gosforth (disambiguation) → Gosforth – No clear primary topic over Gosforth, Cumbria. Google Books appears to return more results for it (such as the cross) than the T&W one even though the 1st result is for it. Views16 do show that this Gosforth gets more than the Cumbrian village but Peter Taylor, Baron Taylor of Gosforth gets nearly half though he's a PTM. The Cumbrian village is shown on the A-Z Mini but the place in T&W isn't. This could also go to Gosforth, Newcastle upon Tyne but even though its part of the BUASD and has been in the district since 1974 it was formerly a separate district. - (Discuss) – Vaccinium vitis-idaea → Lingonberry – Google Ngrams shows a sharp and steady increase in the popularity of the term "lingonberry" in the past few decades, to the point where it is now more common than any other term by an order of magnitude. This also holds separately for both American English and British English. "Cowberry" used to be more popular until the early 1980s in American English, and until the turn of the century in British English, but since then the divergence has been very sharp. Other dialects of English are unlikely to change the picture because the plant is native to North America and Eurasia and is largely consumed only there. Regardless of whether the trend was caused by IKEA marketing or any other cause, "lingonberry" is now fairly clearly the WP:COMMON_NAME. Earlier requested moves here date from about fifteen years ago, when the usage was more divided. P.T. Aufrette (talk) 16:55, 6 February 2021 (UTC)
- (Discuss) – Formula One drivers from the United Kingdom → Formula One drivers who represented the United Kingdom – WP:PRECISE. The current titles do not match the scope. Consider one example of many, Alex Albon, he was born and raised in London, to all intents and purposes he is "from the United Kingdom". Yet he represented Thailand, and is therefore detailed in Formula One drivers from Thailand, despite not being from Thailand at all. Why don't we rename to "Nationlity Formula One drivers" (Swiss Formula One drivers, Austrian Formula One drivers etc.)? The problem is that this isn't completely accurate (although I would also support such a move). Drivers haven't always represented a nationality of thiers, for example Jochen Rindt competed as an Austrian, but never had Austrian cictizenship, and therefore isn't Austrian.

- (Discuss) – Francis de Laporte de Castelnau → François-Louis Laporte, comte de Castelnau – Attempting to follow guidelines at WP:NCNOB, though I'm honestly not sure about the best title to use. I originally sought for help on this at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Biography#Francis de Laporte de Castelnau but got no reply in nearly two weeks, so I thought it best to just WP:BOLD and rename the page anyway. The full name for this person is generally given as "François Louis Nompar de Caumont Laporte" (or is it "de Laporte"?); his original name at birth was "François-Louis Nompar de Caumont La Force", but the surname was changed to "Laporte" later on. He also used the title "Comte de Castelnau", which comes from his connections to nobility. Most online information I've found on him gives his first name as "François" not "Francis", which was apparently joined together with his second name as "François-Louis". For the most part here, I've referred to information from a Zootaxa article by Neal Evenhuis from 2012 (see here), which gives his correct birth date and original name at birth. It's worth noting that in 2010, this article was moved by LouisPhilippeCharles (who was later banned that year) from its old title "François Louis de la Porte, comte de Castelnau" to its current title. I cannot make sense of why this previous move was done, unless it was to copy the other language Wikipedias (even French WP uses the same title as the English one currently??), though in retrospect "de la" doesn't seem to be part of his full name at all. - (Discuss) – Thurn und Taxis → Thurn and Taxis – "Und" is German for "and" which appears dominant in other articles in Wikipedia: 8 of the 8 subcategories under Category:Thurn and Taxis use "and". Sometimes the category creators are less close to the subject than the article editors and, in the Category:Princes of Thurn and Taxis and Category:Princesses of Thurn and Taxis it looks like the articles prefer "and" by about 60 to 2 like with Albert, 12th Prince of Thurn and Taxis and Princess Maria Sophia of Thurn and Taxis. If this was a strong German phrase I could see more argument for keeping it intact but, according to this article, it's originally based on a transliteration of French anyway. Given all that, a reader for this Wikipedia is more likely to recognize "Thurn and Taxis" per WP:ENGLISH. (Alternatively, if kept, I'll nominate the categories to match this title.) - (Discuss) – 2021 storming of the United States Capitol → 2021 United States Capitol attack – Now that the last RM has closed, and as discussed as a possibility before in a now archived discussion, I am opening a move request for the title 2021 United States Capitol attack. During the previous RM, there were lots of different potential names and phrases for this article suggested, with seemingly a consensus to move away from "Storming" but no exact consensus for a new title. However, I am starting a RM to this particular phrasing, using the term "attack", for several reasons; * The word attack has proven to be the word that has been disputed least with regard to describing the event. Alternatives such as "riot" imply a lack of coordination of the attack and as such might be less accurate. "Insurrection" is potentially appropriate, but this was voted down in a previous RM. "Storming", the current title, is technically accurate but has some potentially loaded political connotations, according to some editor opinions. * Various term searches and tallies have determined that there is no singular WP:COMMONNAME for this event, but maintain that "attack" is certainly ranked highly among the most commonly used terms in the media. A reminder that a "common name" may be just one of several "common names", such as there seem to be for this event. * In the consensus table of suggestions for the previous RM, editors could voice support or dissent for various names. Of these, "attack" received the highest amount of support from editors, and one of the highest ratios of support to opposition. This alone makes it the most likely follow-on RM candidate. * There was some debate over the inclusion of the year in the naming. Some people feel that the use of the year is unnecessary as the event was fairly unique. However, I will continue the argument I made in the now archived draft RM:
*Edit: Furthermore, I think that the phrasing "2021 United States Capitol attack" is both fairly concise and also contains a natural phrasing of a description of the event. In conclusion, the "attack" name including the year would seem to be the title that thus far has had the most support, is clear and unambiguous as possible, and would seem to be preferable over the current page title. If you wish to suggest alternatives, please be aware that many such alternatives were extensively discussed during the previous RM. BlackholeWA (talk) 03:26, 4 February 2021 (UTC)There have definitely been other events involving the Capitol that could be reasonably described as attacks. A cursory search brings up the 1983 United States Senate bombing, during which "an explosion tore through the second floor of the Capitol's north wing", and the Burning of Washington, during which "British forces set fire to multiple government and military buildings, including the White House (then called the Presidential Mansion), the Capitol building". As further disambiguation is required beyond the location, the year should be included per the "when" recommendation of WP:NCE.

The term 'ethnic cleansing' is frequently applied to describe the events in Abkhazia in general (see Internal displacement and the conflict in Abkhazia by Erin Mooney and multiple sources in Ethnic cleansing of Georgians in Abkhazia). - (Discuss) – General Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea → Leader of the Workers' Party of Korea – I argue moving this article to "Leader of the Workers' Party of Korea". It's not the correct formal name, but it clarifies the task of the article. I'm guessing that Kim Jong-un will get a new title at the next congress so it's not really the title that is important. It's the fact that he is the leader of the WPK and wants to inform everyone about it (it has propaganda significance more then it has institutional significance). I haven't read anywhere in North Korean media or other media that these name changes actually alter the North Korean decision-making process and culture in anyway. One can therefore reach the logical conclusion that moving the name of this article every fifth year or move does not improve Wikipedia coverage, it just increases Wikipedia's workload. This is not to say I'm against a formal title when it can be used; Vice Chairman of the Workers' Party of Korea and Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea (lists general secretaries, first secretaries, second secretaries, third secretaries and ordinary secretaries for instance) could be interesting articles. --Ruling party (talk) 14:21, 3 February 2021 (UTC)

Interest (economics) is another option. Even if the emotion is less likely in an encyclopedia it still seems like it has enough long-term significance to displace the payment. By views the payment has 11,074 and the emotion has 1,533 but Sexual attraction has 33,781, Conflict of interest has 16,428, National interest has 4,694, Point of interest has 1,712 and Self-interest has 1,484. Although Google returns more results for the payment the 1st result is a dictionary infobox which gives the emotion first, Images only appears to return the payment but Books does appear to return the emotion as the 1st result even though the other results appear to be for the payment. - (Discuss) – United Ireland → Irish reunification – The entity known as Ireland was united until the year 1921. For it to unite again would therefore be its RE-unification, it would not be the islands first time as a united polity. At a disregard of politics and/or controversy, the title for the unification of the island of Ireland should be "Irish reunification" as it is what the combination of the two entities of the island is called, since it is not the first time the land would be united as one. - (Discuss) – Structure of the Canadian federal government → Structure of the Canadian federal state – I'm making this a discussion since a similar move seemed to be controversial for another page. I think the predominant usage in Canada is that the exact expression "federal government" refers to the executive branch (and thus excluding the legislative branch, and the judicial branch even more so). * The Canadian Encyclopedia: "The federal government is the national government of Canada, centred in Ottawa. The term can refer narrowly to the Canadian Cabinet, or more broadly to the Cabinet and the public service." * The Canadian Style: "Short forms are normally written in lower case when used in a non-specific sense, when preceded by a possessive, demonstrative or other type of adjective, and when used adjectivally or in an adjectival form" —— speaking of the short form of the "Government of Canada", which certainly refers to the executive branch. * Britannica: "The prime minister is the head of the federal government and usually the leader of the largest party in the House of Commons that is able to maintain the confidence (or support) of Parliament." * "Get to know Canada": "The Prime Minister heads the federal government based in Ottawa." And the expression "Canadian state" is well attested: " Under the Constitution, Canada has three branches of state. The executive branch (the Prime Minister or Premier and Cabinet) decides policy. The legislative branch (Parliament or legislatures) makes laws. The judiciary (the courts) interprets and applies laws. Each branch has a different role." Google Ngram Viewer also shows the much more for the term "Foreign Secretary" than "Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs" [36]. While this article does discuss the original company, Chemins de Fer d'Aire à Fruges et de Rimeux-Gournay à Berck, in some depth, it's more properly about the line itself. The French article on this topic is called Ligne d'Aire-sur-la-Lys à Berck-Plage, which is a descriptive name for the line and not the company. - (Discuss) – Clandestine press of the French Resistance → Underground media in German-occupied France – I originally changed the title of this article on 21 November 2020 after receiving no response to a message I left on the talk page a few days earlier. Nonetheless, Mathglot had now decided that this was a "controversial move" and, contrary to WP:RMUM, has moved it back without discussion. Seems rather a waste of time, but hey... WP:CRITERIA sets out five criteria for naming a page. These include Precision, Conciseness and Consistency as well as Recognizability. The rationale for the move is obvious. The article's natural content is not limited to the "press" (eg newspapers) when the French resistance also produced a range of notable fictional publications (Le Silence de la mer being a particularly important one), posters, even radio broadcasts. It is for this reason that the head article is currently entitled Underground media in German-occupied Europe. —Brigade Piron (talk) 21:03, 1 February 2021 (UTC)

- (Discuss) – Amnat Charoen → Amnat Charoen (town) – Proposing to rename Amnat Charoen to Amnat Charoen (town), then make Amnat Charoen a redirect to Amnat Charoen Province, which is more likely the primary topic, and likewise for the others. These are articles about Thai town municipalities (cities are excluded from this discussion, but may be approached at a later time) that are more or less the population centre of the province sharing the same name. In most cases, references to the plain name will be about the entire province rather than just the town. This is the case especially in Thai parlance, but also likely so in English, and Google searches on the above names reveal first-page results that are mostly about the provinces. (In most cases, the Wikipedia article about the province is the top result, while some towns don't even appear.) While these articles seem to have been stable at their current location for over a decade, the status quo is mostly a result of early editorial decisions made by a couple of users, including Ahoerstemeier, who made comments long ago that this doesn't actually reflect common practice in Thailand, and could be changed. A requested move last year for Trang, Thailand found that consensus didn't exist to support the current naming scheme. I'm thus suggesting that the towns be moved to titles with the (town) disambiguator, so that the plain names can be redirected to their respective provinces, which are more likely the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC. - (Discuss) – React (web framework) → React (JavaScript library) – React (web framework) is by definition not a web framework. "many web frameworks provide libraries for database access, templating frameworks, and session management, and they often promote code reuse.[1] Although they often target development of dynamic web sites, they are also applicable to static websites.[2]" - Web framework ? Under Framework: Software framework, a reusable set of libraries or classes for a software system or subsystem Web framework, for development of dynamic websites, web applications, and web services List of JavaScript libraries would also suggest that React should be listed under "DOM (manipulation) oriented" section by the tool's use case. There seems to be no supporting documentation to suggest that React is in fact a framework, let alone a Web framework. It could be considered a library for DOM manipulation and would fit with the "a well-defined interface by which the behavior is invoked" Library (computing) definition. Could React be compared to professionally and academically recognized frameworks? Such as .NET Framework or Spring Framework or Next.js or Sails.js? Currently with the information we have React supplies an interface for webpage manipulation through an interface. That would suggest React being a library and align with other talks about React being a library or framework. React on it's own can only build a single page HTML webpage; however, does not offer a framework (by wikipedia nor academic definitions) for providing development of dynamic websites, such as serving webpages or routing addresses. This would present a challenge in considering React being a framework, or a web framework; however, as mention could be considered a DOM interface (library). It would seem harmful to continue to have React listed as a web framework, let alone a framework by wikipedia's own definitions. Does this seem to be the cases? If not, why is React a Web Framework? Under the section Requested move 9 August 2019 the supporting consistency of Angular (web framework) has framework components such as a router, whereas react has a 3rd party library outside of react. This tends to be the case repeatedly through their comparisons. Similarly for Knockout (web framework) Jsframeworkdev (talk) 11:23, 31 January 2021 (UTC)

Technical arguments in favor of calling it lunar dirt because it lacks biological activity are factually true, but irrelevant, because that's how the terminology is used outside of Wikipedia. - (Discuss) – Old Monroe County Courthouse → Monroe County Courthouse (Old Monroe County Courthouse, Monroeville, Alabama) – This building, long ago listed on the National Register of Historic Places as "Old Monroe County Courthouse", has just been designated as a U.S. National Historic Landmark under name "Monroe County Courthouse". It has been practice (good practice IMO) that NRHP articles get renamed to higher level NHL name, when an NHL designation occurs. The old name was not particularly descriptive/unique/good, as there exist multiple old/former courthouse buildings once or still known as "Monroe County Courthouse" (including eight listed at Monroe County Courthouse (disambiguation)) relating to the 17(!) Monroe Counties (see Monroe County (disambiguation)). This move request has been mentioned at wt:NRHP. Other suggestions possible, but I think including the whole historical official NRHP name and also the city and state within the disambuation works well here. - (Discuss) – Government of the Czech Republic → Cabinet of the Czech Republic – We really need to differentiate between the Cabinet (the executive branch of government) and the Government (the system of governing, managing a country). The Czech language in its current state does a poor job of differentiating between these two. Czechs mostly use the word "vláda" for both. I like the way it is handled for German Cabinet and I propose we do it the same way for the Czech political system. Currently it is very confusing for non-Czech readers especially. We should also add redirections and redirection notices to make sure everybody gets to where they want when they type "Czech government" and similar. Martin J. - (Discuss) – Gertie the Dinosaur → Gertie (film) – After some research that I've done for the Wikisource entry of this film, I have determined that the contemporary title of this film was actually Gertie, not Gertie the Dinosaur. Winsor McCay never apparently used the name Gertie the Dinosaur to refer to this film, and in the video we ourselves have the title given is "GERTIE". A search of Google Books for the keywords "Gertie the Dinosaur" before 1921 comes up with nothing. On top of that, the Motion Pictures, 1912-1939 copyright catalog lists, on page 296, a 1914 film called Gertie made by Winsor McCay, which for some reason is listed as an unpublished work, while the next 4 Gertie films listed are listed as published ones. So why has the title of this article been Gertie the Dinosaur for so long, even after the article has been reviewed to the level of it gaining the Featured article status? Is this some kind of mistake of history, for the name of this film to have been misattributed by so many sources including us? (If anyone can find substantial evidence that contemporary sources did more often refer to this film as Gertie the Dinosaur, though, I'm willing to be disproven.) - (Discuss) – Macacine alphaherpesvirus 1 → B virus – WP:COMMONNAME and WP:MEDTITLE refer to "most commonly used" names for the article title, and the use of the ICTV name in the title is unnecessary and not particularly common in the literature (either "monkey B virus" or "B virus" alone seems to be the current trend, and most usage of "Macacine alphaherpesvirus 1" seems to be in parentheses alongside a more common "B virus" name—PubMed verifies this, too). I can see the potential argument that B virus is too broad and could refer to, say, the Hepatitis B virus, but given that B virus already redirects here, I don't think it's unreasonable to move it back to its more common name. –LogStar100 (talk)17:45, 29 January 2021 (UTC)
- (Discuss) – Cray (disambiguation) → Cray – No clear primary topic especially in term of long-term significance. The supercomputer manufacturer has 5,920 views but the football club has 2,248 and although it might not be called "Cray" much there isn't a place or similar (like Liverpool) so that DABCONCEPT would have applied since it has nothing to do with the supercomputer manufacturer. Crayfish has 27,621 views and though that's likely a PTM as well (and more so) Google does return a dictionary result as the 1st result saying it means "a crayfish". Robert Cray has 5,075 and Seymour Cray has 2,94841 but the people are also PTMs. Images only appears to show the supercomputer manufacturer but Books seems to be split between people with the surname and the upercomputer manufacturer. The supercomputer manufacturer is named after Seymour Cray but the surname origin is unclear. Per WP:NCCORP since the abbreviated form appear to be preferred by the company given its used in the WP article's infobox and at the start of the article this title can be used though its website doesn't appear to use this so maybe Cray (company) should be used. No attempts of land grab, no ISIS territorial control of areas, very limited attacks, i think it’s safe to say the “conflict” has ended. Even some sources refer to post-2017 insurgency as “Post war”. Most English-language sources refer to this as blacklists, blacklisting, blacklisted (applied to individuals, farms, villages, or raions). In their struggle against “malicious enemies” who were refusing to deliver their food supplies to the state, the party-Soviet organs of the USSR began to institute a system of “blacklists,” one of the Soviets’ most brutal repressive measures. ¶ The concept of blacklists and its very essence were formed gradually during all of 1932. - (Discuss) – Muskmelon → Cucumis melo – This is an article about the species Cucumis melo, but muskmelon only refers to some types of melon. In a narrower sense, a muskmelon is a melon with a netted rind and a musky aroma, namely Cucumis melo Reticulatus Group, a type of cantaloupe. In the broader sense, muskmelon refers to sweet varieties of Cucumis melo such as cantaloupe and honeydew. Therefore, muskmelon can be a page redirected to cantaloupe or Cucumis melo, but it should not be the title of the species page, because, for example, you will never call a chito melon "chito muskmelon", because it has neither a sweet taste/aroma nor a netted rind. The singer meets much more of the notability guidelines and contains much more information and references than the hockey player (32 refs versus 4 refs), while the Dallas Smith Corporation page references no sources and hardly constitutes a page. One will note in an internet search that nearly all results for "Dallas Smith" are referring to the singer, while the singer's page averages about 10 times as many views per month than the hockey player. All of this should justify the main "Dallas Smith" page being for the singer, with a hatnote referencing the hockey player's page (the corporation page likely should be deleted). - (Discuss) – Nuremberg Military Tribunals → Subsequent Nuremberg trials – This page was recently moved from the proposed title by Buidhe on WP:COMMONNAME grounds but I don't believe this to be correct. There are several points: * Naming an article which essentially deals with a series of trials after the court before which they were heard leads to obvious confusion about the actual subject of the article (this also has implications for the results of a NGRAMS search); * "Nuremberg Military Tribunals" leads to obvious confusion with the with the International Military Tribunal at Nuremberg, currently addressed here under the title of "Nuremberg trials" * The overwhelming majority of links using the NMT terminology appear to be drawn from the legal scholarship and do not reflect the wider historical and political science scholarship which addresses the same subject. I also note that some variation of the subsequent title is used, among others, by the US Holocaust Memorial Museum, Wiener Holocaust Library Nuremberg Trials Museum and US State Department. - (Discuss) – Kelvin–Stokes theorem → Stokes' theorem – WP:COMMONNAME says that names used most frequently in reliable sources should be used on Wikipedia when a topic has multiple names or a name can be used for multiple topics. When I Google "Stokes' theorem" and search through sources like e-textbooks, university websites, and mathematical databases (which are presumably reliable for mathematical topics), they overwhelmingly refer to the "specialized" case. And when I search "Generalized Stokes theorem," there are plenty of hits for that case. On the other hand, when I search "Kelvin-Stokes theorem," there ARE reliable sources that use that name, but it's not the most commonly known or the most likely to be searched by someone wanting to know more about this case. While few people know enough mathematics to describe the "specialized" Stokes' theorem, even fewer would be familiar with the more general case. I know that when I went to Stokes' theorem on Wikipedia, I was expecting the vector-calculus case. In short, I think this move would make the articles more useful to the average reader. - (Discuss) – COSCO fleet lists → COSCO Shipping fleet lists – the main topic of this list, COSCO (aka, China Ocean Shipping (Group) Corporation) has been merged with China Shipping Group, the parent company of the former China Shipping Container Lines, to became China COSCO Shipping (for some reason, the current article is just COSCO Shipping). It seems it better recycled this list to cover also the fleet of the enlarged group and move the article title to COSCO Shipping fleet lists. One minor problem is all cap COSCO or not, as COSCO is not a 100% abb of China Ocean Shipping (Group) Corporation due to the last "CO" stand for "Co.". Lastly, A big nono to capitalized as COSCO SHIPPING fleet lists BTW, despite the company do so officially. Matthew hk (talk) 06:30, 13 December 2020 (UTC) —Relisting. - (Discuss) – Biblical numerology → ? – This article is named "Biblical numerology" which seems to imply that the article's content should be limited to just the bible (and perhaps exegesis). But this seems like it could perhaps result in a slippery slope with regard to stuff only implicitly mentioned in the bible. Take the seven sacraments, for example. (It's listed as a bullet point under section "7".) As a Catholic, I would say that these are in fact "biblical". But I acknowledge that nowhere in the bible does it give a listing of the sacraments, or even say that there are exactly seven. The listing of seven (no more, no less) comes from extra-biblical tradition, not from the bible. But then where do we draw the line? Take the Holy Triduum, for example. (It's listed under section "3".) The Holy Triduum is a liturgical celebration, not something found in the bible. (The events that it's modelled after are found in the bible, but the Triduum itself is not.) So should it be listed? Then there is also the stuff about "ten fingers and ten toes", "twelve lunar months", etc. This might help to draw connections, but it's not the least bit "biblical". I am not saying these things should be removed. I do think it's perfectly appropriate (especially the stuff concerning extrabiblical tradition and liturgy). But I am just wondering if maybe the article's name should be changed to "Christian numerology" or "Significance of numbers in Christianity"? I'm opening a name change request below. 2601:49:C301:D810:60D6:3777:B8C0:7F2D (talk) 15:57, 22 December 2020 (UTC) —Relisting. Jack Frost (talk) 13:16, 16 January 2021 (UTC)

- (Discuss) – Hyoscine → Scopolamine – "Scopolamine" is the preferred name of the substance internationally, including in the USA, German-speaking world, French-speaking world, and Spanish-speaking world. Here is some relevant context: 'Alkaloid nomenclature was often the subject of heated and confusing debate, and a particular instance is relevant to the present discussion. "Hyoscine" - first prepared by Albert Ladenburg in 1880 - and "scopolamine" - first isolated by Ernst Schmidt from Scopola species in 1888 [...] - are synonyms, but a colourful controversy regarding their identity raged, especially in Germany, from their discovery until the early twentieth century. Both names continued to be used for many decades, the choice often seemingly dependent on the nationality of the writer, and by the mid-1920s, the name "hyoscine" had largely been abandoned except in England and associated countries [not including the USA].' - (Discuss) – Template:PD-logo → Template:PD-textlogo – The reason it was moved to PD-logo from PD-textlogo was that "the template is suitable for logos with geometric shapes, too" — but such logos with very few shapes are still generally called textlogos. The template's naming should also match that at commons, so naming it PD-textlogo makes sense for consistency. Elliot321 (talk | contribs) 12:04, 16 January 2021 (UTC)

- (Discuss) – Michael McLaughlin → Michael McLaughlin (activist) – Per stats, the activist of the same name is most viewed. However, the car racing driver is also viewed as much as the activist, but the driver uses "Mike" instead. I'm unconvinced that "Michael" and "Mike" are distinctive enough as the names are interchangeable. Parenthetical disambiguation should make the titles clearer. Furthermore, neither the activist nor the car racer is historically significant any more than the other. Car racer won several races, while the activist wrote books and won just one award from a newspaper as of date and no elections. In the meantime, "Mike McLaughlin" must redirect to the dabpage. - (Discuss) – OFC Pirin Blagoevgrad → Pirin Blagoevgrad – The football club changed its name last year, when a new association was created. WP:USEENGLISH suggests transliterating the new name, but there are a few clubs named 'Pirin' in Bulgaria. English news sources use the old names OFC Pirin Blagoevgrad and OFK Pirin, as well as simply Pirin Blagoevgrad, none of them (besides non-English local sources) use the new name, which if it were to be transliterated would be FK Pirin. I believe simply using the commonly recognisable and neutral name Pirin Blagoevgrad would be sufficient, as some English sources do so. Divpatok (talk) 21:27, 12 January 2021 (UTC)

- (Discuss) – Discrimination (between things) → ? – This page was recently moved from its longstanding title Discrimination (disambiguation) to the new "Discrimination (between things)", one day after the mover posted an otherwise unreplied-to question about whether it was really a disambiguation page or not. The new title is definitely improper and not in keeping with Wikipedia's naming conventions, however: in a Wikipedia title, content embedded in parentheses has to be a disambiguator, and a disambiguator has to be a class noun for the type of thing the topic is ("painter", "writer", "novel", "film", "town", "athlete", etc.), but "between things" is not a class noun for a type of thing. I can respect the page mover's concern about whether this was really a "disambiguation" page or not, but it really should not have been moved without any discussion — it needs to either be moved back to Discrimination (disambiguation), or get discussed to arrive at another new title that resolves the page mover's concerns while not being this. - (Discuss) – Emigration of Jews from Romania → Jewish emigration from Romania – I've actually made this move request to ask the opinion of other editors as I am not sure what the title of this article should be. I've thought of something like "Exodus of Jews from Romania", but it seems that most Jews "voluntarily" went to Israel, so I don't think it fits. I am also wondering, should I use a title of the type "Jewish something..." or "something of Jews..."? Another option is "Aliyah of Jews from Romania" or just "Aliyah from Romania". I thought of using a title that would be universal in all articles of this kind, but there is no common format between them. What should I do? Super Ψ Dro 16:11, 10 January 2021 (UTC)
