Vojsava Tripalda (Latin: Voisavae, also Voisava) was a princess from a family of Upper Polog.[1][2] She was probably a member of the Muzaka family (Musachi) of the Principality of Berat.[3][4]
Through becoming the wife of Gjon Kastrioti she became part of the Kastrioti family and mother of the Albanian national hero Skanderbeg.[5] In addition to Gjergj Kastrioti Skanderbeg, she also had three other sons, Stanisha Kastrioti, Reposh Kastrioti, and Konstantin Kastrioti,[6] and five daughters, Mara Kastrioti (married to Stefan I Crnojević), Angelina Kastrioti (married to Vladan Araniti, brother of Gjergj Arianiti), Yella Kastrioti (married to Gjin Muzaka), Vlaika Kastrioti (married to Stefan Stres Balsha), and Mamica Kastrioti (married to Muzake Thopia in 1445).[7]
