Merla
I've restored the redirect for now and asked the 'creator' of the new article here to do so at a new location. If and when they do we could probably change Merla into a disambig. GiantSnowman 13:28, 5 February 2016 (UTC)
Kate Murphy
Sorry about that. I tried to make a hatnote instead of the redirection page.
I have made a new page for the chess company manager. It is now called Kate A. Murphy. Is it possible to make the page: "Kate Murphy" into a Disambiguation page. That way, it can redirect the user to both the chess company manager and the Blod of Proof character Kate Murphy. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Shry97 (talk • contribs) 16:26, 5 February 2016 (UTC)
Kate Murphy
Thanks. I am new to wikipedia, so thanks for you info. She is generally known as Kate Murphy, but I added her middle name initial to be able to create her page. --Shry97 (talk) 17:50, 5 February 2016 (UTC)
Your response at the Help desk
Sorry about that. Sinebot fell down on the job and I guess I wasn't paying attention. I'm looking at the history.— Vchimpanzee • talk • contributions • 19:40, 10 February 2016 (UTC)
Honda CBX550F
Thanks for the update on the inboard discs. Apologies for the delay, have been doing entirely different stuff this year - a refreshing change - and didn't realise it's been a couple of weeks since I logged on. Have a look at this outboard back brake - Mustaf Bin another bad idea.
I've still got in mind to try to ascertain the date of renaming from Portobello Straight to Minter Straight! Also had a chap offer me some Honda CD175 images - I found another road test in the house, been on the dressing table since last July to remind me to finish the article. I have dusted, well, a couple of times... "The dust doesn't get any worse after the first six years..." - Quentin Crisp? rgds.--Rocknrollmancer (talk) 20:37, 13 February 2016 (UTC)

Yes, Hugman is reliable - and the CPFC Twitter could also be used if needed. GiantSnowman 14:57, 14 February 2016 (UTC)
DOB help
Hi- You commented on this question I had. I am wondering if you can help me. You said you saw the editor posted a note of some sort. I am trying to find who put it up there so I can contact them to take it down. Here is the thread in question. Can you help me?
Hi-
I am a voice actor and a page was created for me on Wikipedia. First off, I'm so flattered and grateful that people I don't know thought me noteworthy enough to make a page about me. And I would be happy to help add to it, though I am not familiar with coding. One thing I would prefer not to have published is my birth date and age. I try to keep that information non public as it can effect my career opportunities. Is it possible to have some one help me to remove it? Or direct me to some one who can? I'm happy to verify that I am indeed me if you'd let me know the best way to accomplish that. The page is for Carrie Keranen. And I'm her :)
I appreciate all your help.
Sincerely, Carrie Keranen CareBearFinn (talk) 20:26, 3 January 2016 (UTC)
I have removed it. The sourcing was not appropriate for the personal information. -- GB fan 20:46, 3 January 2016 (UTC) It's been put back; with a note by the editor concerned that DoB is sourced. However, one source mentions Facebook and the other seems to be a free local-paper. Eagleash (talk) 21:45, 3 January 2016 (UTC) Please see WP:DOB "Wikipedia includes full names and dates of birth that have been widely published by reliable sources, or by sources linked to the subject such that it may reasonably be inferred that the subject does not object. If the subject complains about the inclusion of the date of birth, or the person is borderline notable, err on the side of caution and simply list the year." - Arjayay (talk) 21:50, 3 January 2016 (UTC)
CareBearFinn (talk) 23:53, 15 February 2016 (UTC)
- I went ahead and removed the DOB per the user's request since it now falls under "subject complains about inclusion". Also added COI stuff. Thanks again for raising it to my attention. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 01:49, 16 February 2016 (UTC)

Hey just wanted to let you know about this editor you seem to have warned the editor earlier the editor have blanked his talk page and he seem to have been doing a lot of changes on some articles that were redirects I'm not sure whether they are vandalism or not so I thought it would be better to let you know about it Have a nice day :) Dinnypaul (talk) 16:56, 17 February 2016 (UTC)

Edits to Quasi-Contract
My apologies for the removal of the information on Talk:Quasi-contract without explanation. The reason for the removal was that the original page was updated with accurate information, resolving the confusion in the talk page. In the future I will ensure that the reason for such changes are made more explicit. My apologies again. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jason246xy (talk • contribs) 01:28, 20 March 2016 (UTC)

Thanks for giving me the info on the above redirect, I recognise there is a strong consensus for it and similar ones.Perhaps I could ask your opinion on AFCs related to motor racing? Atlantic306 (talk) 20:15, 1 April 2016 (UTC)
About some of your posts at User talk:Bretonbanquet#New section!
Hi Eagleash, I'd like to comment about some of the things you've posted in the abovementioned section. You complain about AFC reviewers not taking note of content on the Talk pages of drafts. You need to post the comment on the draft page itself, above the start of the draft article, or at least place a brief note there to inform reviewers that relevant information exists on the draft's talk page. The AFC review procedure does not normally include looking at the talk page of drafts, so unless you explicitly notify us we would never know that there is anything to look at. Preferrably you should use {{AFC comment}} to post your note to the top of the draft page (not its talk page). You (or some of your fellow WikiProject members) might also consider doing some AFC reviewing, we're often short-handed and subject specialists are always welcome. You're also welcome to contact the AFC review project at Wikipedia:WikiProject Articles for creation/Help desk. Thanks Roger (Dodger67) (talk) 19:53, 2 April 2016 (UTC)

Was this edit deliberate or a mistake?
If it was deliberate, please can you explain it here.
If it was a mistake, please can you fix it.
Thanks. 82.132.247.147 (talk) 05:12, 3 April 2016 (UTC)
- Apologies; definitely a mistake! Completely at a loss to understand how the error came about. Restored the missing text. Please check to see if it looks 'consistent'. Thanks. Eagleash (talk) 09:42, 3 April 2016 (UTC)
Motor Sport spin-off mag - info requested
Watcher! (as Barry Sheene used to say...) I recently chanced upon a new-ish article compiled by a self-identified, former part-time journalist, referring to a racing bike, his racing exploits on it, his published track-test of it, and citing the mag (all 1970s), amongst other things. No concerns there.
The writer further states the title Motorcycle Sport was a Motor Sport companion-mag. I have several of these mags in the house; one I thought (from memory, hidden midst a myriad of words) mentioned the first issue as 1962 but checking, this does not accord with your volume-number sequence - no probs as yet, but the BBC used two volumes per year, each six-monthly, and I have to anticpate similar volumes to get from 1962 to 1964 (eg. November 1964 cover states Volume 5, Number 11, pages number from 401 ignoring the cover).
Example chronology is:
* 1964, Wardley Tee, City Road, London EC1
* 1966 Teesdale at City Road
* 1969 Teesdale at Standard House, Bonhill Street, London EC2A 4DA and
* 1979 as Ravenhill publishing, at Standard House, Bonhill Street.
The writer also variously comments:
* ...the companion monthly magazine to Motor Sport, and published at the same premises, and
*It was later sold and became a rather different type of Magazine under the title 'Motorcycle Sport and Leisure' after Cyril Ayton left MCS and died.
In the issues I have, there are no identifications of any staff members on the internal mastheads, and the (mostly or often) part-time(?) contributors are signed with initials-only - J.G. = John Griffith, and B.M.S. = Bruce Main-Smith (both old school motorcycling journos), and L. J. K. S., ferinstance. A.S.H.? . Mostly when I figure one out, I then forget!
Does this accord with your experience? Do you recognise the name Cyril Ayton? Only Googling-up a few books for him. Anything else you could add? Whereas I occasionally cite these mags, there is little to base a WP article on - as mags and similar do not generally report on their peers - but I would not discount it, even though I dislike stubs. Motor Sport website as mentioned above (in archive) is not helpful - no publisher, no 'about us', no historical progression. Thought I'd get it recorded now, sooner rather than later. Thankee very muchlyfold.--Rocknrollmancer (talk) 22:18, 5 April 2016 (UTC)
- The volume numbers you referred to here - remembered seeing it User talk:Eagleash/Archive 2015#Motor Sport Magazine which seem the same arrangement as Motorcycle Sport. The earliest I have are 1964, which show as volume 5. If there was one volume per year, that would mean the first run was 1960, whereas I though it was 1962, so I was hypothesising if the first runs were occasional (produced quarterly or similar) and hence numbered differently. The BBC used two volumes per year for their The Listener monthly publications, Jan to June, July to Dec. There is no Wiki article for Motorcycle Sport, but the later version is cited a couple of times [1] (Morton's Media). I'll think on it. I could message the former-contributor if I go ahead with a stub [2], although nothing from him this year. Those mags you have would be useful. I cleared-out some 450 pieces gradually a few years back, mostly dated after 1979. Is Wesley Tee Wardley Tee, or was that another collaborator? A Mr Wardley and Mr Tee. Can of worms. I thought you were a copy editor, but not that recently. Thanks--Rocknrollmancer (talk) 23:32, 5 April 2016 (UTC)
