Alex Stinson
The Wikipedia Library Projects Manager, Wikimedia Foundation
About meI am a 9-year editor with over 80,000 contributions as en:User:Sadads, and have used the last several years to focus on developing different forms of outreach. Currently, I am a project manager with the The Wikipedia Library, though I frequently try to spend time as volunteer supporting WP:Wikipedia Education Program, and am a supporter of GLAM-Wiki outreach. I have a Masters degree in English Literature from Kansas State University with research focused on cultural studies and the digital humanities. More recently, I worked as a digital humanist at K-State, where I developed en:Digital Humanities projects, creating partnerships with educators and cultural institutions.

My workI support the The Wikipedia Library a project to give top Wikipedia editors access to reliable sources. We have partnered with JSTOR, Oxford University Press, Elsevier and over a dozen other publishers or platforms to advance our mission of sharing knowledge while exposing their collections of scholarly works. The Wikipedia Library also support new strategies for projects and outreach with University Libraries (placing research affiliates at Institutions as part of the Visitign Scholar's programs), advancing research support needs in tech development, partnerships with the larger research and libraries communities (such as IFLA, Association of Research Libraries, and others), and innovating in outreach strategies (for example, the 1lib1ref campaign).
