The Hype Magazine page re-creation
Greetings. In 2007, you deleted the page for The Hype Magazine for lack of notability. I would like to re-create that page as the magazine has moved into a major position within the music and entertainment industry, won some notable awards i.e., proclamation from the Atlanta, GA City Council honoring the magazine and its CEO/Publisher; multiple nominations for Magazine of the Year (SEA Awards and SCM Awards) and awarded the Internet Magazine of the Year (Music) from the S.T.R.O.B.E. Awards. The magazine reports nearly 300k digital subscribers, nearly 2 million monthly views to it's online property; is syndicated to multiple impactful news sites including the Music News Exchange site for Performing Rights Organization BMI (www.bmi.com). I am new to Wikipedia and this will be my first attempt at creating a page, could I put the article in draft mode so that you might review and assist me in creating a page worth of Wikipedia? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated, this magazine is rapidly becoming one of the leading US entertainment magazines covering not just music but film, television, sports and more. Featured articles include a Super Bowl winner, Grammy award winning artists, etc., and the magazine expanded from print on demand to newsstands in November 2013.Chastized (talk) 18:56, 2 March 2014 (UTC)

Vandalism
I do not understand why you have changed back the correction I made to the piece on colour. I was simply trying to correct the incorrect spelling, which for some reason was spelt "color". Why would this be? I am on the English speaking site and if you care to take a look in the Oxford English Dictionary, (considered by most to be the most accurate) the word is spelt colour. Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Cgmellor (talk • contribs) 20:10, 3 November 2011 (UTC)

Re: Awan - Disambiguation page
I have not vandalised the page in question, in fact the addition I have removed is inappropriate, as it has no place on a disambiguation page, because it is a reproduction of an existing Wikipedia article (Awan [Pakistan]), save for an inaccurate addition being made by a user who is attempting to pass off a Rajput tribe (the Gungals) as Awans. 92.20.3.203 (talk) 19:09, 9 November 2011 (UTC)

====Maxwell's Demon Hello. I saw that you removed the edit I did. I believe that it was incorrect for you to do so on the basis that i did not provide verification. If you see the other paragraphs under criticism and developement they do not have any cited verification either so on that basis you should have removed those as well. Additionally I did provide verification. It was published under facebook notes which is a reliable source. Additionally if you look under the university of arizona achieves you will find it, but those can't be cited as such as there is no proper way to do so. You may follow the link (verification) provided so you can see for yourself that it is information that has been published. To quote wikipedia: The threshold for inclusion in Wikipedia is verifiability, not truth—whether readers can check that material in Wikipedia has already been published by a reliable source, not whether editors think it is true. Allright thanks for your interest, and let us keep providing free and reliable information to the world! — Preceding unsigned comment added by AlanS333 (talk • contribs) 17:57, 11 November 2011 (UTC)
So what do you mean by verification?
Additionally, the other statements in the same section do not have verification, not even a reference. Are you going to delete does as well? Also you are more than welcome to go into the university of arizona into the physics the department and see such paper. — Preceding unsigned comment added by AlanS333 (talk • contribs) 18:18, 11 November 2011 (UTC)
Yes, this is a paper which has been published, which i did write, which i put on my Facebook notes for other's to see as i do not have a web page yet. Please stop removing it. Additionally by removing some papers and not others you are being unfair and biased, which goes against the wikipedia rules; on your basis you should remove all of them. I would advice you not to do so however as it would be a diservice to the spirit of wikipedia which is to provide information. So if you are to remove the post again, let me know how I can change the references so it may be acceptable. — Preceding unsigned comment added by AlanS333 (talk • contribs) 18:35, 11 November 2011 (UTC)

Hi Wknight94. I noticed that you recently blocked IP address 82.42.128.190 for 31 hours for vandalism. I fully support your action. Pioneer Courthouse
I am interested in updating Pioneer Courthouse with the names of judges such as Diarmuid O'Scannlain who have their chambers there. I noticed you indefinitely semi-protected Pioneer Courthouse on 13 August 2009, saying "Upon further review, this page is almost never edited by IPs. Just leave semi-protected forever". After consulting WP:SEMI and WP:RUP, I decided to seek unprotection of Pioneer Courthouse. Since you are the one that protected it, I am hoping that by now you're willing to remove the protection. Girlfriend and prostitute
You undid my statement many months ago. (this edit) Look, there is no difference in the principle! When you go to a prostitute, you pay her for enjoyment. She also gets enjoyment (plus money). If you don't want to pay, "get out". What about a girlfriend.? Ok, there is "romance", "love", etc. Is that real love? Or is it lust? It is lust. "I lust for you and you lust for me", that is: "I "love" your body and you "love" my body, not "I love you and you love me." No one (may be very, very few) "loves" another for what they are but what they have (e.g. sex appeal) or own (money, cars etc.). Do you understand? This is the harsh reality. Learn to face it. You pamper the girlfriend with goodies and riches to continue the relationship or else get rejected! You call this original research? In your country, you say "girlfriend", in our country we say "prostitute". That's all! -59.95.11.197 (talk) 16:01, 28 December 2011 (UTC)

I see that you discovered that our mutual "friend" is using a Sprint mobile phone now. Maybe he has abandoned his Blackberry. Thanks for your good work.
However, I believe those two blocks are excessive in duration. Those are mobile phone IPs that are potentially accessed by many different customers, and one of the two was used by someone else for editing as recently as December. MSU Interview
Dear Wknight94,
My name is Jonathan Obar user:Jaobar, I'm a professor in the College of Communication Arts and Sciences at Michigan State University and a Teaching Fellow with the Wikimedia Foundation's Education Program. This semester I've been running a little experiment at MSU, a class where we teach students about becoming Wikipedia administrators. Not a lot is known about your community, and our students (who are fascinated by wiki-culture by the way!) want to learn how you do what you do, and why you do it. A while back I proposed this idea (the class) to the community HERE, where it was met mainly with positive feedback. Anyhow, I'd like my students to speak with a few administrators to get a sense of admin experiences, training, motivations, likes, dislikes, etc. We were wondering if you'd be interested in speaking with one of our students.
So a few things about the interviews:
- Interviews will last between 15 and 30 minutes.
- Interviews can be conducted over skype (preferred), IRC or email. (You choose the form of communication based upon your comfort level, time, etc.)
- All interviews will be completely anonymous, meaning that you (real name and/or pseudonym) will never be identified in any of our materials, unless you give the interviewer permission to do so.
- All interviews will be completely voluntary. You are under no obligation to say yes to an interview, and can say no and stop or leave the interview at any time.
- The entire interview process is being overseen by MSU's institutional review board (ethics review). This means that all questions have been approved by the university and all students have been trained how to conduct interviews ethically and properly.
Bottom line is that we really need your help, and would really appreciate the opportunity to speak with you. If interested, please send me an email at obar@msu.edu (to maintain anonymity) and I will add your name to my offline contact list. If you feel comfortable doing so, you can post your name HERE instead.
If you have questions or concerns at any time, feel free to email me at obar@msu.edu. I will be more than happy to speak with you.
Thanks in advance for your help. We have a lot to learn from you.
Sincerely,
Jonathan Obar --Jaobar (talk) 07:26, 12 February 2012 (UTC) Young June Sah --Yjune.sah (talk) 22:10, 15 February 2012 (UTC)
The persistence of vanity edits
Following up on an old conversation thread regarding a long-term vandal, the editor is still at it, six years later, though with a relatively low frequency. Abuse Filter on the Article Feedback Tool
Hey there :). You're being contacted because you're an edit filter manager, At the moment, we're developing Version 5 of the Article Feedback Tool, which you may or may not have heard about. If you haven't; for the first time, this will involve a free-text box where readers can submit comments :). Obviously, there's going to be junk, and we want to minimise that junk. To do so, we're working the Abuse Filter into the tool.
For this to work, we need people to write and maintain filters. I'd be very grateful if you could take a look at the discussion here and the attached docs, and comment and contribute! Thanks :). Okeyes (WMF) (talk) 18:35, 17 April 2012 (UTC)

Undid a Recent Edit Made by My IP Address
Dear Wknight94,
Firstly, I'm sorry if this is the wrong place to discuss this. I'm not very highly experienced with editing the site and even less so with communicating directly with other contributors.
I received a message from you a couple of minutes ago, delivered to my IP Address as I was not logged in at the time, saying that you'd reversed a recent edit. Having clicked on the link you provided and seen the edit, I agree that you were right to do so!
I just wanted you to know that I was not involved in this edit. What may have happened was that my IP Address was refreshed between the time of the edit being made and you sending your message, but I will scan my computer for spyware just to be sure.
Thank you for bringing this to my attention, and for correcting the initial problem.

See Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard#apteva-block. Apteva/Delphi234 is up for possible blocking for violating a topic ban, but as you warned this sockpuppeteer over four years ago, at User talk:Delphi234#Usage of multiple accounts to stop using two accounts to deceptively edit solar and related energy/power articles to make it seem like multiple, independent editors, but the editor has continued to do exactly that up to the present, this is probably grounds for an indef block of User:Apteva and at least a somewhat-long-term block of the User:Delph234 sockmaster account, on grounds that considerably pre-date Apteva's current disruptive editing troubles at WP:AN. — SMcCandlish Talk⇒ ɖ⊝כ⊙þ Contrib. 10:08, 28 January 2013 (UTC)

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Operation Migration may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "[]"s. If you have, don't worry, just again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on .

Main Page appearance: Babe Ruth
This is a note to let the main editors of Babe Ruth know that the article will be appearing as today's featured article on July 11, 2014. If this article needs any attention or maintenance, it would be preferable if that could be done before its appearance on the Main Page. If you prefer that the article appear as TFA on a different date, or not at present, please ask Bencherlite (talk · contribs). You can view the TFA blurb at Wikipedia:Today's featured article/July 11, 2014. If it needs tweaking, or if it needs rewording to match improvements to the article between now and its main page appearance, please edit it, following the instructions at Wikipedia:Today's featured article/requests/instructions. The blurb as it stands now is below:
Babe Ruth (1895–1948) was an American baseball outfielder and pitcher who played 22 seasons in Major League Baseball (MLB) from 1914 to 1935. Born in Baltimore, Ruth was sent at age seven to St. Mary's, a reformatory where he learned baseball skills. In 1914, Ruth was signed to play minor-league baseball for the Baltimore Orioles. He began his MLB career as a stellar left-handed pitcher for the Boston Red Sox, but achieved his greatest fame as a slugging outfielder for the New York Yankees. Ruth established many MLB batting (and some pitching) records, including 714 career home runs. In his fifteen years with the Yankees, Ruth helped them win seven American League pennants and four World Series championships. His big swing led to escalating home run totals that boosted baseball's popularity and made home runs a major factor in the sport. Ruth's unprecedented power and carousing lifestyle made him a larger-than-life figure in the "Roaring Twenties". One of the first five inductees into the National Baseball Hall of Fame, Ruth is regarded as one of the greatest sports heroes in American culture, and is considered by many to be the greatest baseball player of all time. You (and your talk-page stalkers) may also be interested to hear that there have been some changes at the TFA requests page recently. Nominators no longer need to calculate how many "points" an article has, the instructions have been simplified, and there's a new nomination system using templates based on those used for DYK suggestions. Please consider nominating another article, or commenting on an existing nomination, and leaving some feedback on your experience. Thank you. UcuchaBot (talk) 23:01, 25 June 2014 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of SSOE

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on SSOE requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Request to lower protection
Please lower the protection of Template:Death year and age to template-editor level for editing. This would keep it in line with the similar Template:Death date and age. Thanks, Wbm1058 (talk) 14:13, 20 June 2015 (UTC)
User:Fangusu
It seems like you were the admin who indefinitely blocked User:Fangusu back in 2008. It's been six and a half years since that block and the editor has acknowledged their socking past and claims to have done good work at Commons (in 2011 and again in 2014). Would you object to giving a second chance now? -- Ricky81682 (talk) 21:08, 30 June 2015 (UTC)

Invitation to subscribe to the edit filter mailing list
Hi, as a user in the edit filter manager user group we wanted to let you know about the new wikipedia-en-editfilters mailing list. As part of our recent efforts to improve the use of edit filters on the English Wikipedia it has been established as a venue for internal discussion by edit filter managers regarding private filters (those only viewable by administrators and edit filter managers) and also as a means by which non-admins can ask questions about hidden filters that wouldn't be appropriate to discuss on-wiki. As an edit filter manager we encourage you to subscribe; the more users we have in the mailing list the more useful it will be to the community. If you subscribe we will send a short email to you through Wikipedia to confirm your subscription, but let us know if you'd prefer another method of verification. I'd also like to take the opportunity to invite you to contribute to the proposed guideline for edit filter use at WP:Edit filter/Draft and the associated talk page. Thank you! Funny4life
In January 2008 (!) you blocked this user as a sockpuppet of Serafin. He has now applied for unblock. The SPI shows some 117 socks, but apparently not this one. I am sure that you had an excellent reason for blocking; after nearly eight years can you recall what they were? --Anthony Bradbury"talk" 21:02, 17 November 2015 (UTC)
- Compare Funny4life's edits to most of these and this, etc., etc. Clearly an army of sleeper socks. Wknight94 talk 19:10, 19 November 2015 (UTC)
ArbCom elections are now open!
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Girl in cake
I noticed that you are one of the leading editors at Cake. Do you know if we have an article or content in a section of another article for the type of giant cake from which a model pops out for festive occasions (e. g. this video)? I understand that these are sometimes made largely or entirely of cardboard and frosting, but sometimes there is a real cake outside of the hidden compartment. I have tried surprise cake, pop cake and popup cake.--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 19:55, 12 April 2016 (UTC)
