- Wikipedia:Requests for page protection#Current requests for reduction in protection level (filter log)
- Description
- This is the ninth tab I've had to open in my browser, just in attempt to make a simple edit to the protected article Teacher.
How deep does this Rabbit hole go?!
I was attempting to make an unprotect request by placing the request in the correct place. I got an error message: An automated filter has identified this edit as potentially unconstructive, and it has been disallowed. If this edit is constructive, please report this error. I am now going to place the unprotect in the section above it (the section for protect requests).
It appears that the filter log for the page suggests "Long-term pattern abuse" from my IP address. The filter log for my IP includes several edits marked "New user removing references". It appears as if all the edits logged are actually edits that I, as the current user of this IP address, have made in good faith. One of the edits I examined and discovered that I had actually cleaned up, removed and added references. Another log made the assumption that I had violated the BLP policy (filter 189) because the word "terrorist" was included in the headline of the source I had added to the article.
I have now opened a further ten or so tabs!

Look, I went to the links the page suggested and most of them offered a 404 error once you tried to click deeper, I tried to explain that and the automation said I was being determental, thats like saying I went to walmat and couldn't find something the advertised in a newspaper flyer 20 years ago.

- Description
- In the 1980s, I hosted a public radio program about comedy for KCRW in Los Angeles. I have a website repository of many of these programs, which I make virtually no money from. I was attempting to add links to my page to the Wikipedia entries for some of the people with whom I conducted lengthy informative interviews. Some such links (Stan Freberg, for instance) have been active for years now, but I've recently added a lot of shows to the site.

- Description
- If the tag of multiple obscenities is anything to go by, it looks like the bot is assuming that adding the link to Sir Ralph Assheton, 2nd Baronet, of Lever is obscene, presumably based on the first three letters of the bart's second name. Adding the link, with a misspelling as "Asheton" allows the edit to go through, but this needs to be corrected by a registered user.

- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Bartolomeu_de_Gusmão (filter log)
- Description
- i tried to add a section to the discussion, listing a few problems with the page, here is my edit
this article needs a major improvement, if not rewriting <- the name of the section
at the very end it should be proven with quotes that:
>Bartolomeu Lourenço de Gusmão (c. 1685 – November 18, 1724) was a Portuguese priest and naturalist from the Colony of Brazil, noted for his early work on lighter-than-air airship design
i'm sorry but it is completely unclear that passarola was a lighter than air airship. it was already mentioned on the talk page, neither description nor its original image mention any way to provide it lighter than air lift i.e. no balloon or anything. it is quite possible that passarola was a project of a heavy than air glider/plane
the only mention that he made a balloon comes from a source which was written more than 60 years after his death and after the flights of brothers montgolfier, as an attempt to claim that a portuguese was the first balloon inventor
>The vessel was to be propelled by the agency of magnets which were to be encased in two hollow metal balls.
this idea of its supposed magnet engine certainly needs an explicit description and quoting
>Developing the ideas of Francesco Lana de Terzi
francesco lana had a project of a vacuum airship and it is pretty clear how his flying boat was supposed to fly. if passarola had vacuum metal balls like francesco lana's airship it would be obvious that de gusmao used lana's idea, but those two rather tiny balls on the illustration were apparently supposed to contain some magnets...
p.s. i solved the problem myself. before you say it wasn't false positive, i remind you that i didn't edit the page itself, if i did i would write properly, i wrote a goddamn comment on the talk page and to force me to use capital letters which i hate using simply to write a comment about some article is silly and abusive. may be you should consider laxer rules for the comment pages
