Hi there! I am Brian E. Logan, Esq. I am an experienced lawyer, administrator, and college teacher. I am an editor at Wikipedia, and previously was an administrator for seven years.
Not that any of that matters little here, because Wikipedia relies not merely on expertise, but on reliable, verifiable, and independent sources. You can always look it up here. I have been an editor for Wikipedia since February 7, 2007. With over 63,000 edits, and 190 articles created, I am one of the top most prolific Wikipedians, most recently at # 685 (I've slipped a bit). I was chosen an administrator on September 27, 2007, and after more than 7 years' service, resigned on January 16, 2015; however, I will remain an editor.
The Wikimedia Foundation is a private charity, which is open to the public, but doesn't have to take in everybody. One would not suppose one could rush into a Girl Guides campground, an Anglican churchchancel, or an YHA youth hostel bunk room, without permission, all the while telling insulting jokes. How can somebody assume they could do the equivalent to Wikipedia? Such persons are trolls and vandals.
For what it's worth, rotary telephones were a thing that existed when I was a small child. I found, on an Irish census, that one of my great-great-grandmothers was born in 1850.
I have been a member of the Democratic Party (United States) for many years; while I am no longer a committeeman, in the past four years, I have been a political consultant and an election inspector, for which I am paid (in 2012, that was about $1,500 total; in 2013 and 2014, that was about $325 annually, and in 2015 about $500). I have not been paid, nor do I expect to be paid, for the purpose of any such editing in 2013, or 2014, or 2015.
I am an attorney, but nothing I write on this website should be interpreted as creating an attorney-client relationship, nor of providing legal advice.
Wherever I personally know, or am related to, a person, I try to disclose that fact when I have edited their article. This includes classmates, pen-pals, distant relatives, and people I've met. I have indicated so on my contributions page with a , which indicates a person who I know (or knew) personally. I have used a to indicate a place that I have visited personally, or cultural phenomenon that I have experienced. I might be distantly related to Lindsay Lohan.
I despise bigotry in its many forms. It also invariably involves a BLP violation.
I have been owned by several cats and a dog, but am currently not owned by any four-legged companion animals.
I have not been paid to edit by my past long-time employer, Bryant & Stratton College, as a college professor, nor by my current employer, Barnes and Noble, as a bookseller.

The Good Heart Barnstar
For not only unblocking and apologizing to users they blocked in error but actually having the courage to come on WP:AN and make a public apology (which is far above and beyond standard procedure), I award you, Bearian, this barnstar. Mr.Z-man 02:27, 16 October 2007 (UTC)
I like your contributions at WP:AFD; they're helpful. I awarded the same barnstar to User:Dhartung earlier today for similar reasons. You seem to have a sound judgement of what is and what is not notable.h i ss p a c er e s e a r c h 01:58, 30 December 2007 (UTC)
I know this comes a little late, but life has been hectic for me recently. Anyway, I just wanted to let you know I really appreciated the level of neutrality I feel you brought to rough waters of Law of Palestine. I therefore, hereby award you this Ribbon of Merit for conflict resolution. (See The Anti-Flame Barnstar) -Thibbs (talk) 19:39, 19 September 2008 (UTC)

So I am awarding you this barnstar to let you know I greatly appreciate all you do for Wikipedia, and please keep up the outstanding work!! Also a special thank you for getting me out of my slump, and making my break last only four days by showing you do appreciate me/care! Thanks! CTJF83chat 03:03, 17 November 2010 (UTC)
