infobox generator broken
Thanks for you extremely useful NRHP infobox generator tool. I know I'm not the only one who uses it, and it's been a great help. That said, it's broken:
Want to get the infobox for 87002538
Warning: mysql_query(): Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: NO) in /home4/elkman/public_html/nrhp/common.php on line 127
Warning: mysql_query(): A link to the server could not be established in /home4/elkman/public_html/nrhp/common.php on line 127 Invalid query: select sigyear from sigyear where refnum = 87002538 limit 1Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: NO)
Queries for city and county seem to work fine. Magic♪piano 12:35, 16 March 2015 (UTC)
- I've finally fixed this. The code wasn't properly establishing a database connection when querying by reference number. --Elkman (Elkspeak) 19:52, 3 April 2015 (UTC)
Thanks for fixing that! This query yields a similar message. Magic♪piano 14:35, 4 May 2015 (UTC)

NRHP Query down?
Hey Elkman --- seems like NRHP Query has been down all day. Just a simple notification. Cheers--Pubdog (talk) 00:36, 14 May 2015 (UTC)
- Hmm. I don't know what would have made that happen. I just tried it and it appears to work correctly. I haven't been doing any changes or messing around with the site, so I'm not sure what happened. --Elkman (Elkspeak) 05:07, 14 May 2015 (UTC)
NR Focus redesign
Maybe you already know this, but NPS Focus has been significantly redesigned, and the URLs for nominations are all different. At least for now, the old URLs still work; the Old Fort Mitchell HD nomination still exists at http://focus.nps.gov/pdfhost/docs/NRHP/Text/89001170.pdf, but if you go through their search interface, it's at http://focus.nps.gov/GetAsset?assetID=a2ccc1d5-4c79-4cff-9443-d6d86db9d3e4. The new system is completely unsystematic, as far as we can tell. However, there's a new simple way to get to their records for a place: http://focus.nps.gov/AssetDetail/NRIS/89001170 takes you to a page with links to both nomination and images, along with other information about the property. So useful!
The HRHP inforbox generator is so useful - many thanks! Bubba73 You talkin' to me? 19:58, 20 October 2015 (UTC)

NRHP locations
Do you remember where you got the original location information for NRHP listings, that is, the source for the location your infobox creator puts out? I can't find it in the .dbf files I downloaded (from the 2009 version), and the old files aren't there anymore. Just looking to see where they came from, and what format they were in (UTM or lat/long). Thanks. Generic1139 (talk) 20:28, 5 November 2015 (UTC)

Earlier today, I started a discussion related to modifying {{infobox NRHP}} — if successful, this will result in the removal of the |Governing body=
parameter entirely. The proposal is merely to remove the template's ability to recognise the parameter, i.e. |Governing body=
will have no more effect than |nfbsourbgdbhuodr=
would, but it wouldn't have any harmful effect either. As a result, should it pass, you'll be able to remove that parameter from the generator if you feel like it, but doing nothing won't have any effect, either. See WT:NRHP#Governing body in infobox for the discussion, if you're interested. Nyttend (talk) 03:17, 26 December 2015 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for February 3
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited S. Edward Hall House, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Community Chest (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 10:25, 3 February 2016 (UTC)

NPS has changed its URLs
NPS has changed its URL format; instead of http://pdfhost.focus.nps.gov/docs/NRHP/Text/71000300.pdf, it's now http://focus.nps.gov/pdfhost/docs/NRHP/Text/71000300.pdf. Just asking that you change the URLs provided by the generator, the ones following "NRHP nomination is probably at" and "Photos are probably at". Thanks! Nyttend (talk) 03:36, 3 March 2016 (UTC)
