I am an attorney living in Newburgh, Indiana, and working in Evansville, Indiana, with the law firm of Jackson Kelly PLLC concentrating in the areas of business and corporate law, health law, and municipal law. I have extensive experience providing solutions-oriented advice on a wide range of legal issues, including complex commercial transactions, regulatory compliance, and mergers and acquisitions.
I have also provided counsel for municipalities and local government units in a broad spectrum of matters concerning public and private finance, land use, economic development, and compliance. Prior to joining the firm I spent six years working in-house for Vectren, a large publicly traded energy holding company. As a result I have extensive experience with municipal and utility matters before the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission in numerous complaint cases, rulemakings, and other proceedings. I am admitted to the Indiana state bar, and the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Northern Districts of Indiana.
I earned my juris doctor degree from the Indiana University McKinney School of Law. Prior to law school I earned a bachelor of science degree in business economics and public policy from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business.
My primary interest in Wikipedia is in articles relating to history (especially the American Civil War), law and economics, politics, and religion. I also contribute to a substantial number of articles relating to local interests: Indiana, Evansville, Chandler, and Newburgh. I joined Wikipedia on 20 January 2005. You can visit my personal website here.
My username is a slight variation of my Hebrew name, which is "Y'Hoshua".
