Don't Stop the Music (Rihanna song)
Hey Graham! Happy New Year, all the best in the next 366 days. Anyways, the article received a full copy-edit from a GOCE user who is familiar with the FA prose. Can you please have a quick glance before I re-nominated again and tell me if it's satisfactory? Appreciate it! — Tom(T2ME) 17:27, 10 January 2016 (UTC)
James Murray (physician)
My dear Dr Beards, may I shamelessly plug the above new article on a very important, yet unbelievably underrated, physician who has certainly helped me and my tummy troubles over the years. I see you are on a break currently, so no rush. Hope you're well and looking forward to your return. CassiantoTalk 19:42, 28 January 2016 (UTC)
- Hi, that was fun to read, thanks. I made a few minor edits, which you can feel free to revert. One tip, try to differentiate between outdated beliefs and current thinking. Graham Beards (talk) 19:05, 30 January 2016 (UTC)
- Funnily enough, Tim has just told me off here for doing just that, only this time, for using outdated words! Bloody hell, I'm only 36! Thanks very much for your tweaks. CassiantoTalk 19:57, 30 January 2016 (UTC)
- Hi Graham, is there anything you can do around an IP on James Murray (physician)? They are warring dispute my attempts to discuss with them their issues. I am currently st 2rr and not wanting to go any further. They have exceeded 3rr. I really don't have the time to go down the 3rr route right now, and wondered if you could have a word. Many thanks, hope you good. CassiantoTalk 23:35, 22 March 2016 (UTC)

Help with copyrighted material
Hi Graham/Mr./Dr.? Beards,
I saw your post on the hepatitis page and wanted to know if I could utilize your expertise while I help edit the page. Is this the appropriate place to do that?

Sorry for Rotavirus page
Dear Dr. Beards,
I'm very sorry for troubling you with Rotavirus page edit that happened recently by my students. I'm teaching virology and I gave an assignment in which the students were asked to add additional information to existing virus family or individual virus pages in Wikipedia. As far as I understand the activity in Rotavirus page occurred as "several suspicious "new accounts" re-adding contentious material" to you. Some of the students tried couple times re-enter their changes after their changes had been reverted. And couple students thought using a passage from a book is okay if the page number is indicated, but forgot that such usage is against copyright.
What kind of strategy should I be following so that patrols and watchers are not troubled if I'd like to give Wikipedia assignments in future?
Thanks..

- Hi, thanks for the explanation. You will find the answers to your questions, and much more useful information here: Wikipedia:Student assignments. You will notice that I had to revert your students' edits on many other virology topics for similar reasons and because the standard of prose was poor in many cases. Witton Isolation Hospital
I grew up and still live just a handful of miles from the site of Witton Isolation Hospital, yet had never heard of it until I chanced upon the article you wrote. Thank you! Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 19:12, 30 July 2016 (UTC)

Advice for "No Time for It"
Hello. Thank you again for your constructive feedback for the two FACs for "Shine". I was wondering if you could look at another music-related article that I have been working on over the past several months ("No Time for It").
I would like to nominate this for FAC someday in the future (I will wait about a year or so to do that as it would be too premature considering the single was released in the beginning of the year and its parent album was released at the end of July and new information may come up about the song in the near future in terms of live performances, etc.). I feel that I have already accounted for a majority if not all of the required information for this time of article. If possible, could you examine the article to see what may be missing or needs to be covered more? I do not want a repeat of what happened with "Shine" so I would greatly appreciate your feedback.
I acknowledge that this is out of your area of interest so I understand if you are not willing or do not have the time to do this, but I thought I might as well ask for guidance from a more experienced user. Aoba47 (talk) 02:16, 7 August 2016 (UTC)
FAC voluntary mentoring scheme
During a recent lengthy discussion on the WP:FAC talkpage, several ideas were put forward as to how this procedure could be improved, particularly in making it more user-friendly towards first-time nominees. The promotion rate for first-timers at FAC is depressingly low – around 16 percent – which is a cause for concern. To help remedy this, Mike Christie and I, with the co-operation of the FAC coordinators, have devised a voluntary mentoring scheme, in which newcomers will guided by more experienced editors through the stages of preparation and submission of their articles. The general format of the scheme is explained in more detail on Wikipedia: Mentoring for FAC, which also includes a list of editors who have indicated that they are prepared to act as mentors.
Would you be prepared to take on this role occasionally? If so, please add your name to the list. By doing so you incur no obligation; it will be entirely for you to decide how often and on which articles you want to act in this capacity. We anticipate that the scheme will have a trial run for a few months before we appraise its effectiveness. Your participation will be most welcome. Brianboulton (talk) 18:36, 29 August 2016 (UTC)
