Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Debt of developing countries, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Susan George (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Valerie Vaz photo
Hi Smokey. I have met Keith Vaz several times and spoke to Valerie on the phone but failed to get her to send me a photo. Any photo MUST be copyright free i.e. the photographer -or someone who paid for the photograph must be willing to allow free use as per prescribed text. If you have a photo, I'd be willing to help you upload it. Same applies to any other politician but its mostly Labour ones who miss out on what should be useful positive publicity. Proposed deletion of Spirit of the Stairway
The article Spirit of the Stairway has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Delete as per WP:DICTIONARY.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Stuartyeates (talk) 00:56, 11 December 2012 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Gail Hornstein
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Gail Hornstein, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Hell In A Bucket (talk) 08:40, 8 January 2013 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of SOFTtribe
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on SOFTtribe, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which articles can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may be soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:
- It seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. (See section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.
- It appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), individual animal, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. (See section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that your page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Speedy deletion nomination of The Great Tradition
Hello SmokeyTheCat,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged The Great Tradition for deletion, because it doesn't appear to contain any encyclopedic content. Take a look at our suggestions for essential content in short articles to learn what should be included.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can , but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks, Pjposullivan (talk) 15:49, 13 April 2013 (UTC)

Socialist Party (England & Wales) Talk Page Comment
Noticed your comment on the talk page there. It seems to be the same situation with their sister party in the Republic of Ireland; a country where they actually have elected councillors, TDs (members of the Irish Parliament) and an MEP. It seems to have started when Clare Daly, a TD, resigned. Seems to be getting worse according to this http://cedarlounge.wordpress.com/2013/07/25/weekly-worker-article-on-the-sp/ CivisHibernius (talk) 01:47, 1 August 2013 (UTC)
Velvet Glove, Iron Fist: A History of Anti-Smoking
I merged it into the page for the author--there really wasn't enough content to justify two separate articles. I am very willing to have as many articles on serious books and authors as possible, but I wouldn't like to have to defend an article on a book which worldcat shows is in only 51 libraries. Speedy deletion nomination of Gerald May
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Gerald May requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://www.harpercollins.com/authors/6407/Gerald_G_May/index.aspx. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Fiddle Faddle 16:19, 2 October 2013 (UTC)

Hello SmokeyTheCat,
I wanted to leave a note to let you know that I commented on at the AFD for the article you created entitled, Christelyn Karazin. You have done an excellent job in clearly referencing the article subject. The rationale I gave for strongly keeping the article is as follows, "With all of the following sources [2], [3], [4], [5], [6], and [7], [8], [9], [10] and [11] it is quite clear that this article subject has had significant coverage in WP:RS including newspapers, magazines and other media outlets, so the article passes WP:GNG, and the article subject has far surpassed the threshold of notability.WP:N" Excellent work!
