Decline reason:
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired.
Sceptre: regardless of how you feel about the COI or conversion therapy (and FWIW, I view it as drastically not okay,) this diff is ridiculously inappropriate on any page, let alone a page under arbcom sanctions. I have blocked you for 72 hours. Kevin Gorman (talk) 19:35, 20 March 2015 (UTC)
- I personally don't think we should extend civility to child abusers and their sycophants, but, you know, you gotta do what you gotta do. It's weird, though; we used to ban people who made excuses for child abuse. Now we're blocking people for the exact opposite. Sceptre (talk) 19:37, 20 March 2015 (UTC)

- I see how it is. We've got to protect people who abuse children, after all. I thought we were better than the Catholic Church, but hey, looks like I'm wrong. Sceptre (talk) 19:49, 20 March 2015 (UTC)

- Sceptre, I'm altering your initial block. Three days for this was really really lenient. I chose to make it really light on purpose because I know you are normally a productive editor, and I hoped that a brief block be enough to make you realize just the level of unacceptable your comment represented. Instead of getting the reaction I hoped, you tripled down on your initial comment, going as far as getting TPA revoked even after HJ explicitly warned you it'd happen if you kept going. Unfortunately, I can really only stand by the original short block length if I was confident that when you were unblocked you wouldn't do the same thing again - and your behavior makes me actively think you will do the same thing instead. I'm extending your original block to a month... but if you agree via email to not engage in a BLP violation like that again, I will significantly reduce your block. I'll be monitoring my email at least a few times most days, so I should be fairly responsive. You still have UTRS available to appeal the block if you aren't okay with the idea of agreeing not to conduct another similar attack. Kevin Gorman (talk) 22:23, 20 March 2015 (UTC)

OS X El Capitan edit
Hi Sceptre,
While I appreciate your start to the OS X El Capitan article, it was not the best choice for an new OS X article. I created the article OS X Mavericks (look back in the history), and have been a Mac user since I was 6, (I'm coming 24 this year, so I've seen a lot in the world of Apple) and OS X articles are usually some of the best Apple articles when they're given a chance. It takes time, but is well worth it. What I am getting to here is a redirect back to the OS X main page is not the best choice, especially when a new major version comes out.
Thanks for hearing me out. Haseo9999 (talk) 17:40, 8 June 2015 (UTC)
- A redirect is preferable when we don't have enough content for an article, if only temporarily. Sceptre (talk) 17:41, 8 June 2015 (UTC)

Formal warning for personal attacks
In your comments in the discussion at user talk:Jimbo Wales#The Atlantic - How Wikipedia Is Hostile to Women you have made several comments that are personal attacks or borderline personal attacks, including casting aspersions. I understand you are passionate about the subject, but unless you are able to communicate civilly and without making personal attacks you will be blocked from editing.
I truly understand that being harassed is a real thing for female editors, and that dealing with people who deny this is frustrating to say the least, but ending the hostile editing environment requires civility from all editors, including you. Thryduulf (talk) 10:44, 23 October 2015 (UTC)
- Yeah Sceptre, that was pretty revolting. I'm not one for civility blocks, but maybe I should be. Drmies (talk) 15:41, 23 October 2015 (UTC)
- Ah, Wikipedia, where saying that somebody calls people a cunt is worse than calling people a cunt. Wonderful priorities there! Sceptre (talk) 17:12, 23 October 2015 (UTC)

- I mean, you said, and I quote, "If you think Wikipedia doesn't have a problem with women, you must be – pardon my French – fucking stupid;" [1] "Corbett is just one example of the misogynist scourge on Wikipedia;" [2] and "Personally, I'm just glad that Wikipedia has a large contingent of men who are have expert opinions on misogyny." [3] It seems like you have some beef with the editors involved and I would suggest taking a break.

ArbCom elections are now open!
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Any reason that you are changing them from the standard #be2d2c , and why those particular colours? Useddenim (talk) 05:06, 25 February 2016 (UTC)

"Women are everywhere"
Hi Sceptre. I'm an editor (not very active till now) of the Italian Wikipedia, where the gender gap is a real issue. I'm trying to participate to an IEG with the project "Women are everywhere". You will find the draft at this link https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Grants:IEG/Women_are_everywhere It would be great if you could have a look at it. I need any kind of suggestion or advice to improve it. Support or endorsement would be fantastic. Many thanks, --Kenzia (talk) 12:58, 8 April 2016 (UTC)
