February 2015 Wikification drive
Greetings! Just spreading a message to the members of WikiProject Wikify that the February drive has been started. Better late than never! Come on, sign up! :) Grinding, grinding, grinding... what are we finding, finding, finding... (talk) 20:28, 8 February 2015 (UTC)
James Cavill - a person not a company?
This person's article has been project-tagged as a company. Just letting you know it's not! Kerry (talk) 23:48, 9 February 2015 (UTC)
- @Kerry Raymond: Okay, as usual the problem is in the categories. It's in the Category:Australian business biography stubs which happens to be contained in Category:Australian company stubs. All edits are done using the NoLimits plugin and we go top-level recursive to get the maximum articles in that category. Sorry for any inconvenience, I guess you can fix it. Thanks a lot for reporting this! --QEDK ♠ T ♥ C 11:59, 10 February 2015 (UTC)
-
- Likewise William Henry Leeder, presumably for the same reason (Australian business biography stubs). I've reverted the bot edit. Mitch Ames (talk) 12:51, 10 February 2015 (UTC)
- @Mitch Ames: Well, your reverts are much appreciated but an undo is much more preferred. This is because you actually get to see the changes and by reverting you're also reverting my General Fixes and the redirects fixed by Magioalditis' Custom WikiProjects Module which is not really beneficial. --QEDK ♠ T ♥ C 14:47, 10 February 2015 (UTC)
- I am confused. I'm not part of the project so I did not do anything with the project tag. I just saw a request for feedback and provided it. Kerry (talk) 19:38, 10 February 2015 (UTC)
- @Kerry Raymond: Yes, you did. Thank you again! That reply was for Mitch Ames. Sorry for that. --QEDK ♠ T ♥ C 14:00, 11 February 2015 (UTC)
Signature
Hi QEDK, just noticed that in your signature there's an improperly closed <span> tag after the C at the end. I don't think it's a big deal since it doesn't appear to affect subsequent text but it does colour everything pink for me using syntax highlighter! Cheers, Sam Walton (talk) 14:54, 10 February 2015 (UTC)
- @Samwalton9: Should be fixed now. Thanks for pointing it out! :) My signature is substed from {{User:QEDK/Signature}}. --QEDK ♠ T ♥ C 14:57, 10 February 2015 (UTC)
A cookie for you!
--L235 (talk) As a courtesy, please ping me when replying. 18:52, 10 February 2015 (UTC)
- @Lixxx235: What is this cookie for anyway? I already had it but then it isn't going to hurt if I ask. :P --QEDK ♠ T ♥ C 12:29, 11 February 2015 (UTC)

Onside Goal.com Logo PNG
.....we are writing its article right now so that we uploaded Onside Goal Official Logo. User talk:Saurav_Lamshal 2:46,15 February 015(NPT) Thanks !
- @Saurav Lamshal: The logo is owned by OG. In your image, you've said that you are the owner of the image but you are not, furthermore, although it's a logo owned by a proprietary company, there's no fair use rationale. Please read Wikipedia policies before contributing. Are you a representative of the company by any chance? --QEDK ♠ T ♥ C 09:11, 15 February 2015 (UTC)
-
- Bro, Actually I have granted permission from them by contact them through their website on contact us page... I told them that Dear Sir, I will make your Website wikipedia, Can you provide your official logo and please provide me permission to upload it on wiki as my own work and they accepted.
Thanks User talk:Saurav_Lamshal 3:02,15 February 015(NPT)

- Please read WP:NFCC, WP:LOGOS and WP:IUP and understand Wikipedia policies. You've licensed the picture under GFDL saying that you own it, which is wrong, please change it to the correct license and add a NFU rationale. If the owner has give you the right to use it freely, then file a ticket at WP:OTRS. --QEDK ♠ T ♥ C 09:24, 15 February 2015 (UTC)
- This logo will be public domain because it is too simple. So no need to worry about permissions. However making Wikipedia a company website is very dubious, it will not serve the company and probably not Wikipedia either as their purposes differ. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 11:15, 15 February 2015 (UTC)
- We don't know about its intellectual property restrictions, trademarks or design patents. I think, the chance for the second two are close to nothing but there's a possibility of IP restrs. --QEDK ♠ T ♥ C 11:26, 15 February 2015 (UTC)

Hello! You have been selected to receive an invitation to participate in the closure review for the recent RfC regarding the AfC Helper script. Spam
Please don't spam invites to lots of people. If there has been a community discussion that authorized the spamming, please link to it for me now, and I recommend adding the link in the edit summary as well to avoid your account being blocked. Jehochman Talk 14:33, 18 February 2015 (UTC)
- @Jehochman: The invites were sent only to the people who are directly related to the matter i.e. the people participated in the RfC and no one else. That isn't spam, I hope. --QEDK ♠ T ♥ C 14:36, 18 February 2015 (UTC)
- Probably not, but the edit summaries made it look spammy. Could you consider using an edit summary such as "Notice of closure review where you had participated" or something like that? Jehochman Talk 14:40, 18 February 2015 (UTC)
- Well, what's done is done. I'll see to it from next time. :) --QEDK ♠ T ♥ C 14:44, 18 February 2015 (UTC)
