Scope: This WikiProject consists of a group of people who are working on creating and improving articles that are about gastropods, i.e. snails and slugs of every kind: those that live in saltwater, in brackish water, in freshwater, and those that live on the land. The Project also covers articles on topics related to gastropods, including articles on anatomical features of snails and slugs, and articles about malacologists whose research concerns or concerned gastropod taxonomy or other aspects of gastropod biology. Any editor who is prepared to contribute constructively is welcome to join this endeavour.
The coat of arms of Zell, in Zürich, Switzerland, shows a stylized shelled stylommatophoran, a pulmonate land snail.

If you cannot contribute over a significant period of time for any other reason but do intend to return, please note that on this list. If you are inactive for a year with no explanation your name may be removed from the list. Thank you. Note: I removed two names from the list today because those editors had become completely inactive or had retired from WP. Invertzoo (talk) 22:45, 7 January 2013 (UTC)
