Undeletion request for BSA CF2
→ in re: BSA CF2
Hi Athaenara. I notice that page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BSA_CF2 was deleted last year (22:34, 9 May 2011) by yourself. any chance that page could be restored? It is linked to from page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gamo_(air_gun_manufacturer)#BSA_brand_Air_rifles. Although the BSA CF2 rifle may not be notable to everyone, Both the rifle and the manufacturer are well know in the UK west midlands area, and there is very little information available about it elsewhere - online or otherwise. Wasn't sure if I should come to you directly or just follow the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Requests_for_undeletion guidelines. Apologies if I should have done the later. Regards Steve.Stevegray63 (talk) 14:37, 24 September 2012 (UTC)
- I restored it per your request and removed the expired May 2011 WP:PROD tag, but it remains vulnerable to deletion as it is not yet encyclopedic and has no references at all. – Athaenara ✉ 00:14, 28 September 2012 (UTC)
Undelete request
Hi Athaenara. I notice that you deleted http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Litera on 21 June 2010. Any chance that page could be restored? I would like to modify the page so that it is neutral in tone and content and does not serve as a promotion. Kind regards, Dan Dillon — Preceding unsigned comment added by Inoldland (talk • contribs) 13:57, 15 October 2012 (UTC)
- Per the 21 June 2010 WP:UND discussion, Litéra was undeleted and moved to its current location at User:Docexpert101/Litéra by Tikiwont (talk · contribs) that day.
- If you (director of marketing for the company) still think some version of it belongs in Wikipedia article space, the discussions in Wikipedia:Requests for undeletion/Archive 12#Litera, User talk:Docexpert101, User talk:Athaenara/Archive 8#Deletion of Litera, User talk:ICPO3, and Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of Litéra Software remain highly pertinent. – Athaenara ✉ 14:02, 19 October 2012 (UTC)
- Thank you, Athaenara. The entry on Litera has been substantivley revised in response to the promotional considerations. I greatly appreciate your help. - Dan Dillon — Preceding unsigned comment added by Inoldland (talk • contribs) 19:26, 22 October 2012 (UTC)
DJ Jose Solis
(Dec 14, Fri, 2012) Dear administrator, we are members of the managing team of artist DJ Jose Solis, we were creating his wikipedia artist professional page and we received a notification about the deletion of the page. We are not attempting to advertise something, etc. We just want to create his wikipedia page, many partners have a page on Wikipedia, why not him? Examples: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ferry_Corsten http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Armin_van_Buuren — Preceding unsigned comment added by DJoseSolis (talk • contribs) 18:22, 14 December 2012 (UTC)
- When I deleted a Jose Solis page in February 2011, it was a redirect to a José Solis page about a Salvadoran footballer (not your DJ) which had been deleted per WP:CSD#A7 (click link for what that means).
- I don't know what you think a "wikipedia artist professional page" is, but you need to read and understand the Wikipedia:Conflict of interest guideline. – Athaenara ✉ 01:25, 15 December 2012 (UTC)
Edit-a-thon tomorrow (Saturday) in Oakland
Hi, I hope you will be joining us tomorrow afternoon at the Edit-a-thon at Tech Liminal, in Oakland. We'll be working on articles relating to women and democracy (and anything else that interests you). It's sponsored by the California League of Women Voters, Tech Liminal, and me.
If this is the first you are hearing of this event, my apologies for the last-minute notice! I announced it on the San Francisco email list and by a banner on your watchlist, but I neglected to look at the San Francisco invitation list until this evening. If you can't make it this time, I hope to see you at a similar event soon! -Pete (talk) 04:39, 15 December 2012 (UTC)

- Page Deletion
Salutations. We have not met before but you took action to delete a page I was creating this morning which was going to be an index of companies in the Car Tuning/After Market Improvement Space. The taxonomy of Wikipedia is accommodating for providing listings of relevant topics that support and/or compliment areas of knowledge. Actually, the cross indexing of such information is highly critical to the research needs of individuals who are studying car tuning (I am a graduate student in the field of design) and within the boundaries of Wikipedia norms and policies. In this case, the entire topic is one in the eye of popular culture (there are few design reasons for implementing such improvements) and therefore cross referencing with other areas (like a listing of valid companies) makes sense for a variety of reason. As a researcher I find this logic used to deleted a list of relevant companies (with creditability) to be shortsighted and not only out of league with the policies of Wikipedia but also outside of the spirit of collaborative communication and knowledge sharing. I await your response...and/or suggestions as I firmly disagree this content was being developed for business reasons. EdwardSpeaks71.160.151.84 (talk) 17:35, 19 December 2012 (UTC)
- I didn't delete that page, which seems to have been an effort to advertise the "Claus Ettensberger Corp." I did delete the CEC page in May 2010 (more than two years ago) after it was tagged for deletion as per the notification at the time on User talk:Bpabrams (claims like "you can fulfill your automotive dreams at a CEC Tuning Center" etc. have no place in an encyclopedia). – Athaenara ✉ 05:12, 20 December 2012 (UTC)

→ previous discussions: User talk:Athaenara/Archive 9#Prologis and User talk:Athaenara/Archive 10#Requesting undeletion of Prologis Inc.
Athaenara,
Out of total transparency, I head up Corporate Communications for Prologis, Inc, a publicly-traded real estate company based in San Francisco. I joined the company about 7 months ago and I'm a relative newbie to creating Wikipedia pages. Previously, before I joined the company, some folks had tried to create a Prologis page, but you quickly deleted them (understandably so) because the content was not objective. We are a large, publicly-traded company, and I think it's important for us to have a Wikipedia page with factual, objective information. Can you suggest the best way to go about doing this? I've read many areas of Wikipedia about starting a new page, but it says that in-house PR professionals are discouraged from doing so. I hesitate posting another page that will be deleted again. Or do you suggest creating a very high-level page about Prologis that only includes basic facts (number of employees, where we are headquartered, type of business, etc.) and then hope the Wikipedia community fills out additional content over time? Thank you. Atle 415Atle415 (talk) 23:28, 5 March 2013 (UTC)
- Whether or not your company wants its importance bolstered by an entry here, Wikipedia itself is not a corporate listing service but an encyclopedia. You should read the Wikipedia:Notability and Wikipedia:Conflict of interest guidelines if you haven't already done so, and you may seek additional input at the Wikipedia:Conflict of interest/Noticeboard. – Athaenara ✉ 14:04, 7 March 2013 (UTC)

- "This is a famous saloon piano song by Sam Fonteyn. It is used as the "Play me off, Johnny" music by the Vaudeville characters, Johnny and Vern, on Family Guy. This song shares a name with the nickname of the Tacoma Narrows Bridge (1940), though it is unknown if the bridge got its nickname from this song.

Richard Pearce (British actor)
→ in re: Richard Pearce (British actor)
Hello Athaenara. A few years ago in 2011, the article Richard Pearce (British actor) was deleted, causing a few red links to suddenly appear (see disambiguation page Richard Pearce and article The Adventures of Tintin, that I am trying to improve for FA. The red link in that particular article is not a point in favor for it, referring to Mr. Pearce's suddenly non-existent article. I understand the notability issue. My question is, can we get the deleted article back? Maybe then I can expand it a bit and we won't have red links. Cheers. —Prhartcom (talk) 21:18, 28 June 2013 (UTC)
- I restored it per your request and removed the two-year-old WP:PROD tag. I hope it can be improved sufficiently to protect it from further deletion tagging (WP:AFD would be a possibility, although it probably couldn't be speedied or prodded again). Good luck. – Athaenara ✉ 13:18, 30 June 2013 (UTC)

- Thanks to you, Athaenara. Yes, I suppose I'll have to work to improve this small article so that it won't be a black eye on the big article (that I'd rather be working on, that no one had been working on for two years). Thanks for wishing me good luck. Cheers. —Prhartcom (talk) 02:51, 1 July 2013 (UTC)
