Draft articles, submitted to Articles for creation via the Article Wizard, and subsequently "declined" by Wikipedia editors, are considered "abandoned" if they are left alone for 6 months without any edits. These abandoned draft articles are deleted because Articles for creation is not for the indefinite hosting of material found to be unsuitable for inclusion in the encyclopedia. The code used for these deletions is CSD G13.
If your draft article has been deleted for this reason, and you wish to retrieve it because you intend to edit the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and re-submit it, follow these steps:
- Visit the page where your submission previously existed. (It should contain a red box stating "A page with this title has previously been deleted", followed by the reason for deletion.)
- Highlight the exact title of your submission (it will look something like "Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Chicken Delight" or "Draft:Chicken Delight") and copy it.
- Click and paste the page title into the indicated space on the top line.
- Click "Save page".
An administrator will then review your request and undelete the Articles for creation draft if there are no problems.
Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and we apologize for the inconvenience.
