Turkmenistan
Hi!! You're welcome! The coverage of Turkmenistan on the internet besides the capital is pretty poor and I know these are notable towns. I couldn't believe Yoloten was missing, It features on my National Geographic Atlas which only lists the main cities/towns in each country! It is difficult getting hold of photographs though. I've made a few requests on flickr but as yet no response. If you have any photos of Yoloten or any others let me know! We need more photographs of Turkmenistan! Sanctuary
Could you please provide a reference to the UNESCO World Heritage Site definition of sanctuary? Following your lead in Turkmenistan, I have added "sanctuary" to zakaznik (originally translated as game reserve), but we need a terminological reference there. We also need to add references to the existing article animal sanctuary, which seems to have a more restricted sense than sanctuary=zakaznik, and possibly merge animal sanctuary into a more general new article on sanctuaries in the UNESCO sense. Thank you. --Zlerman (talk) 15:00, 29 June 2009 (UTC)
- Thank you for your response on my talk page. I saw already yesterday the descriptive use of "sanctuary" on UNESCO World Heritage Site, but I would like to have UNESCO's definition of this term. I hoped you would be able to direct me to that. I like your use of "sanctuary", but we need a sourced definition for Wikipedia purposes. As to zakaznik, your "sanctuary" is exactly zakaznik, because all Turkmen sources in Russian (both Internet and print) call the specific sanctuaries you are referring to "zakazniki". So if you can find a source for the UNESCO definition of sanctuary, please let me know. --Zlerman (talk) 05:08, 30 June 2009 (UTC)
Good work on the sanctuaries. Can I tempt you to join Wikipedia:WikiProject Turkmenistan? Dr. Blofeld White cat 11:02, 30 June 2009 (UTC) Just sign your name for now. Eventually I hope to get a few people together and get some assessments for Turkmenistan articles. But at present i'm the only active member and we are somewhat overshadowed by the Central Asia parent project which is also pretty inactive. ANyway I just started Sheraton Grand Turkmen Hotel. I expanded the Repetek article. We don't accept direct copyright but if you extracted the main facts from UNESCO or whatever source and rewrite in your own words this is acceptable. Dr. Blofeld White cat 11:17, 30 June 2009 (UTC) Oh, I thought this was the hotel? Oh I thought this was the presidential hotel? Do you live in Ashgabat? I'll start Fishing industry in Turkmenistan Dr. Blofeld White cat 13:16, 30 June 2009 (UTC)

Page titles
You recently moved Olympic Stadium (Ashkhabad) to the title Olympic Stadium (Ashgabat), but then you went back and re-inserted the same content at the old title, so that we had two separate articles about the same subject. I am not sure what you were trying to accomplish, but it is not desirable to have duplicate articles. I have redirected the article to Olympic Stadium (Ashgabat); if the title needs to be changed again, please use the Move function rather than copying and pasting. Thank you. --R'n'B (call me Russ) 12:29, 8 July 2009 (UTC)

AFC Challenge Cup
Hey, I have no idea how the final has ended. I have really only been able to use the AFC website as my source of information. I guess that I will have to wait until the match report is uploaded to their website. Thanks for your help on the article and it's been very cool to speak with some one from Turkmenistan. File source and copyright licensing problem with File:Altyn asyr cup.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:Altyn asyr cup.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, we also need to know the terms of the license that the copyright holder has published the file under, usually done by adding a licensing tag. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged files may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the file will be deleted 48 hours after 03:37, 2 March 2010 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Salavat (talk) 03:37, 2 March 2010 (UTC)

Siege of Jajce
Yes, you're correct. I don't want to sound too "professorish" but these were the the pro and antithesises I balanced when making the article:
- there are four sieges as far as I am concerned: one that the article is about, one preceding the Battle of Mohács that you've mentioned, one earlier in 1463 when the Ottomans occupied it prior to Matthias Corvinus (I don't remember exactly under what circumstances did it passed to the Ottoman Empire) and one in the very next year when Mehmet Pasha attempted to recapture the fort. Of course there can be another siege during the Great Turkish War and possible sieges could occur between the establishment of the fortress and its first Ottoman seizure.
- My idea was like this : until a the creation of a comprehensive fully extended disambiguation page of the subject, the name of the article is fine like this (since there nowhere to redirect the others). When it becomes confusing or a disambig page will be compiled than it will have to be renamed approprietly upon the naming logic that the disambig page will follow. Or - as this exception shows - maybe the current title could be suitable as well: there were two battles in Banja Luka that Wikipedia covers but while one is named Battle of Banja Luka the other is called the Banja Luka incident and thus those articles don't need to be systematically renamed into Battle of Banja Luka (1737) and Battle of Banja Luka (1994).
- The diversity of multicultural aspects of battles and traditions that cause the diversion in naming conventions also affects the English titles given in this Wiki such as:
- The aforementioned Great Turkish War is called The War of the Holy League in Hungarian and Austro-Turkish War (1683-1699) in French while the majority of interwiki links follow the Great War concept (still it is unclear whether the English title inspired the others or vice-versa).
All things said a consensus regarding all battles around Jajce must be reached but anyway I encourage you to rename/redirect the article to which you think is the best solution, but by my opinion it worths creating a separate page enumerating all possible other sieges/battles of the subject or wait until it gets created. Sorry for the overextended reply. Cheers. Lajbi Holla @ me • CP 07:37, 10 August 2011 (UTC)
2012 AFC Cup
Hello Hanberke, I haven't heard anything about who will play in the AFC Cup/Presidents Cup. The Myanmar league have applied to enter the AFC Cup and Mongolia have applied to enter the Presidents Cup. At this moment no news has been made available from the AFC to see who plays in what. Druryfire (talk) 15:31, 28 November 2011 (UTC)

My errors
I do sometimes make errors and it is helpful when you correct them. If I am using a taxobox, it is useful to use an existing taxobox as a guide rather than creating one from scratch every time. So the errors I make tend to be forgetting to change one of the parameters. You obviously have a good eye for detail. Similarly, this is what happened when I searched for how to indicate on the talk page of the article Schizocyathus that part had been translated from the Spanish language Wikipedia. I managed to change the language but forgot to change the species name.
In the case of the WoRMS date for Alepas pacifica, although the year mentioned for the creation of the page is 2010, the citation they like you to use says 2015, perhaps so as to appear up to date, see for yourself at the foot of the page. So I intend to change the year back to 2015. Incidentally, when I created Cyanea nozaki, I had difficulty deciding whether to call the article that or Cyanea nozakii (with a double "i"). What do you think its name should be? Cwmhiraeth (talk) 10:41, 24 June 2015 (UTC)

Anurogryllus muticus
Did you want to add to the Anurogryllus muticus article? I have added two single sentences with citations to the two sources you mentioned on my talk page, so they are there ready for you to use. You can substitute what you want to write for what I have put. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 18:23, 10 July 2015 (UTC)
- I wanted to list Anurogryllus muticus and Anurogryllus arboreus as a dual hook at DYK, thinking to use the trophic eggs to link the two. So I added a paragraph on the breeding habits of A. muticus to its article, but I then decided that the research took place in Ohio and was sure to relate to A. arboreus rather than A. muticus. So I removed the paragraph I had just written from the article and nominated both articles individually at DYK with two separate hooks. It's all very confusing! Thanks for catching my incorrect spelling of Tau !
The reserve is too new to be in the WDPA database, which is usually what I use as the "commonly accepted English". On checking, I see that the reserve management has an English-version web page that spells it "Shaitan-Tau", and so does birdlife.org, although there are others using the "Shaytan" romanization. I'm adding a REDIRECT to catch both. Thanks for the fast assistance. Every-leaf-that-trembles (talk) 09:18, 4 April 2016 (UTC)
