Deletion discussion about Judith Jesch
Hello, Philafrenzy,
I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether Judith Jesch should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Judith Jesch .
If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

Disambiguation link notification for October 13
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Wood Green Crown Court, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Lordship Lane (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Proposed deletion of Caroline Arscott
![Ambox warning yellow.svg](https://web.archive.org/web/20151030042547im_/https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/7/74/Ambox_warning_yellow.svg/48px-Ambox_warning_yellow.svg.png)
The article Caroline Arscott has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- I see no outside sources here, just a brief biography published by the institute. I see no reference to honors or awards that might make this subject notable. I see publications, but that's rather standard for an academic.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Rklawton (talk) 12:58, 13 October 2015 (UTC)
Meyer Bergman
Just been adding the Tesco sites acquistion news (one is round the corner from me) to Meyer Bergman, and checking "What links here", discovered that you created the article back in 2013. I'd already started Markus Meijer and Ton Meijer. Small world. Edwardx (talk) 11:57, 15 October 2015 (UTC)
- Yes, that was in connection with the acquisition of Queensway and, later, the article for Warren Todd. Philafrenzy (talk) 14:24, 15 October 2015 (UTC)

The 100 DYK Creation and Expansion Medal | |
Well it has been a long time since I sent you thanks for Crawford Library. It appears that you failed to get a 50 DYK medal but I saw that you had over 140 DYK contributions. I've come across quite a few interesting British biographies and pubs. You seem very active on the DYK project - thanks for that. Victuallers (talk) 16:12, 17 October 2015 (UTC) |
when I checked it was over 140 Victuallers (talk) 16:12, 17 October 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks very much! Amazing how it all adds up. Philafrenzy (talk) 23:15, 18 October 2015 (UTC)

Book series
I like library catalogs, but I do not think WP needs to duplicate them. I'd advise you to reconsider the book series you have been entering--it makes me very unhappy to feel obliged to delete material of this sort, especially in one of my favorite subject areas like medieval history. If you are going to list selected titles, it might help to give a reason for them. DGG ( talk ) 08:37, 25 October 2015 (UTC)
- I won't get carried away, but I have to disagree with you about the significance of book series. See Seminar Studies in History, Home University Library of Modern Knowledge and Variorum Collected Studies for examples of how such articles can develop. Category "Series of non-fiction books" provides many more examples.
- Such articles reveal notable scholars who have been overlooked, allow discussion in the article of scholars who are not separately notable, and allow the grouping of individuals by specialism in a way that is not well provided for by the category system. As they develop, the titles can go to a separate list article for readability if long enough. Philafrenzy (talk) 10:06, 25 October 2015 (UTC)
