Requested moves is a process for requesting the retitling (moving) of an article, template, or project page on Wikipedia. (For retitling files, categories and other items, see When not to use this page.) Please read our article titling policy and our guideline regarding primary topics before moving a page or requesting a page move.
Any autoconfirmed user can use the Move function to perform most moves (see Help:How to move a page). If you have no reason to expect a dispute concerning a move, be bold and move the page. However, it may not always be possible or desirable to do this:
- Technical reasons may prevent a move, such as when a page may already exist at the target title and require deletion, or if the page to be moved is protected from moves. In these circumstances, administrator help is required to move a page, see below: § Requesting technical moves.
- A title may be subject to dispute, and discussion may be necessary in order to reach consensus, see below: § Requesting controversial and potentially controversial moves. It is not always necessary to use the requested move process in these circumstances: one option is to start an informal discussion at the article's talk page instead.
- Unregistered users and new (not yet autoconfirmed) users do not have the capability to move pages. They must request moves using this process.
Most move requests are processed by a group of regular contributors who are familiar with Wikipedia naming conventions, non-binding precedents, and page moving procedures. Requests are generally processed after seven days, although backlogs often develop. If there is a clear consensus after this time, or if the requested move is uncontroversial or technical, the request will be closed and acted upon. If not, the closer may choose to re-list the request to allow more time for consensus to develop, or close it as "no consensus". For the processes involved in closing requests, performing moves, and cleaning up after moves, see Wikipedia:Requested moves/Closing instructions. For a list of all processed moves, see Special:Log/move.
The Move review process can be used to contest a move. It is designed to evaluate a contested close of a move discussion to determine if the close was reasonable, or whether it was inconsistent with the spirit and intent of Wikipedia common practice, policies, or guidelines.

When not to use this page
Separate processes exist for moving certain types of pages, and for changes other than page moves:
- Making an uncontroversial move – if you can, do it yourself! If you can't, see § Requesting technical moves.
- Renaming a category – propose the move at Wikipedia:Categories for discussion.
- Renaming a stub template – propose the move at Wikipedia:Categories for discussion.
- Renaming an image or other file – see Wikipedia:Moving a page § Moving a file page.
- Moves from draft namespace or user space – (new/unconfirmed users only) add
{{subst:submit}}
to the top of the article. - Merging two articles – make a request at Wikipedia:Proposed mergers, or be bold and do it yourself.
- Requesting that page histories be merged – list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge.
- Contesting a move request close – use the Wikipedia:Move review process.
Undiscussed moves
Anyone can be bold and move a page without discussing it first and gaining an explicit consensus on the talk page. If you consider such a move to be controversial, and the new title has not been in place for a long time, you may revert the move. If you cannot revert the move for technical reasons then you may request a technical move.
Move wars are disruptive, so if you make a bold move and it is reverted, do not make the move again. Instead, follow the procedures laid out in § Requesting controversial and potentially controversial moves.
Requesting technical moves
The discussion process is used for potentially controversial moves. If any of the following apply to a desired move, treat it as potentially controversial:
- There is an existing article (not just a redirect) at the target title;
- There has been any past debate about the best title for the page;
- Someone could reasonably disagree with the move.
If a desired move is uncontroversial and technical in nature (e.g. spelling), please feel free to move the page yourself. If the page has recently been moved without discussion, you may revert the move and initiate a discussion on its talk page. In either case, if you are unable to complete the move, request it below.
- To list a technical request, go to the bottom of this section that you are reading right now; edit the subsection Uncontroversial technical requests; insert the following code at the top:
-
{{subst:RMassist|<!--old page name, without brackets-->|<!--requested name, without brackets-->|reason= <!--reason for move-->}}
- This will automatically insert a bullet and include your signature. Please do not edit the article's talk page.
- If you object to a proposal listed in the uncontroversial technical requests section, please move it to the Contested technical requests section.
- If your technical request is contested by another editor, please remove it from the contested technical requests section and follow the instructions at Requesting potentially controversial moves.
- Alternatively, if the only obstacle to an uncontroversial move is another page in the way, you can ask for the deletion of the other page. This may apply, for example, if the other page is currently a redirect to the article to be moved, a redirect with no incoming links, or an unnecessary disambiguation page with a minor edit history. To request the other page be deleted, add the following code to the top of the page that is in the way:
-
{{db-move|<!--page to be moved here-->|<!--reason for move-->}}
- This will list the undesired page for deletion under criterion for speedy deletion G6. If the page is a redirect, place the code above the redirection. For a list of articles being considered for uncontroversial speedy deletion, see Category:Candidates for uncontroversial speedy deletion.
Uncontroversial technical requests
- North and South Brother Islands, New York → North and South Brother Islands (move (@subpage)) – No disambiguation necessary per WP:PRIMARYTOPIC. The target already redirects to the current page name. – epic genius (talk) 15:50, 5 November 2015 (UTC)
- Siam Park (Tenerife) → Siam Park (move (@subpage)) – The suffix (Tenerife) was added but not needed. The other theme park is named Siam Park City. They already have different names. – Diego Cerdán (talk) 13:03, 5 November 2015 (UTC)
- Saw 0.5 → Saw (2003 film) (move (@subpage)) – Revert recent undiscussed move. It is not the correct title. – Rob Sinden (talk) 11:28, 5 November 2015 (UTC)
- Nelly → Nelly (rapper) (move (@subpage)) – Was previously moved by user:Ohconfucius with the reason: "too many Nellies for him to have a monopoly of the namespace" – my reason while trying to move is "not of overriding importance" (looking at other meanings like the female given name). After that the article about the female given name as main importance – or at least the Nelly (disambiguation) page should be moved to the Nelly entry. Manual moving is not possible because of existing redirect. – Hartwin Wolf (talk) 19:47, 4 November 2015 (UTC)
-
- The main meaning is the given name, and that is not a matter of my or someone else's opinion – refer to google:
- "nelly name -wikipedia" vs. "nelly rapper -wikipedia" → ratio 12.5M:2M = 6.25:1 — or since when is Wikipedia renamed to "Rapper-Advertipedia"? --Hartwin Wolf (talk) 12:45, 5 November 2015 (UTC)
- Draft:The Tolkien Society → The Tolkien Society (move (@subpage)) – There is currently a redirect that prevents accepting a stand-alone article that is otherwise ready to be moved into mainspace. – Robert McClenon (talk) 19:01, 4 November 2015 (UTC)
- Philippine Nursing Licensure Examination → Philippine Nurse Licensure Examination (move (@subpage)) – Misspelling.[1] – Raykyogrou0 (Talk) 17:53, 5 November 2015 (UTC)
Contested technical requests
Requests to revert undiscussed moves
Requesting controversial and potentially controversial moves
Use this process if there is any reason to believe a move would be contested. For technical move requests (e.g. spelling and capitalization fixes), see Requesting technical moves.
Do not put more than one open move request on the same article talk page, because this is not supported by the bot that handles updates to this page. Multiple closed move requests may be on the same page, but each should have a unique section heading.
Requesting a single page move
(To propose moving more than one page—for example, moving a disambiguation page in order to move another page to that title—see "Requesting multiple page moves" below.)
To request a single page move, edit at the bottom of the talk page of the article you want moved, using this format:
{{subst:Requested move|NewName|reason=Place here your rationale for the proposed page name change, ideally referring to applicable naming convention policies and guidelines, and providing evidence in support where appropriate. If your reasoning includes search engine results, please present Google Books or Google News Archive results before providing other web results. Do not sign this.}}
Replace NewName
with the requested new name of the page (or with a question mark, if you want more than one possible new name to be considered). Leave the Subject/headline blank, as the template automatically creates the heading "Requested move 05 November 2015". Do not sign a request with ~~~~
as the template does this automatically. The template must be substituted.
Use the code |talk=yes
to add separate locations for survey and discussion.
Note: Unlike certain other request processes on Wikipedia, nominations need not be neutral. Strive to make your point as best you can; use evidence (such as Ngrams and pageview statistics) and make reference to applicable policies and guidelines, especially our article titling policy and the guideline on disambiguation and primary topic. After the nomination has been made, nominators may nevertheless add a separate bullet point to support their nomination, but should add "as nominator" (for example, * '''Rename, as nominator''': ...
). Most nominators, however, simply allow the nomination itself to indicate what their opinion is. Nominators may also participate in the discussion along with everyone else, and often should.
RMCD bot notifies any Wikiproject listed on the talk page of the article to be moved to invite project members to participate in the RM discussion. Requesters should feel free to notify any other Wikiproject or Noticeboard that might be interested in the move request.
Requesting multiple page moves
A single template may be used to request multiple related moves. On one of the talk pages of the affected articles, create a request and format it as below. A sample request for three page moves is shown here (for two page moves, omit the lines for current3 and new3). For four page moves, add lines for current4 and new4, and so on. There is no technical limit on the number of multiple move requests, but before requesting very large multi-moves, consider whether a naming convention should be changed first. Discuss that change on the talk page for the naming convention, e.g., Wikipedia talk:Naming conventions (sportspeople).
{{subst:requested move
| new1 = New title for page 1 with the talk page hosting this discussion
| current2 = Current title of page 2
| new2 = New title for page 2
| current3 = Current title of page 3
| new3 = New title for page 3
| reason = Place here your rationale for the proposed page name change, ideally referring to applicable naming convention policies and guidelines, and providing evidence in support where appropriate. If your reasoning includes search engine results, please default to Google Books or Google News Archive before providing any web results. Do not sign this.}}
For example, to propose moving the articles Wikipedia
and Wiki
, put this template on Talk:Wikipedia
, and replace current2
with Wiki
. The discussion for all affected articles is held on the talk page of the article at page 1 (Talk:Wikipedia
). Do not sign a request with ~~~~
as the template does this automatically. Do not skip pairs of numbers.
RMCD bot automatically places a notice section on the talk page of the additional pages that are included in your request, advising that the move discussion is in progress, where it is, and that all discussion for all pages included in the request should take place at that one location.

Closing instructions
Any uninvolved editor in good standing may close a move request, and more closers of move requests are needed, but there are certain procedures that need to be followed. Please read our closing instructions for information on how to close a move request.
Relisting
Relisting a discussion moves the request out of the backlog up to the current day in order to encourage further input. The decision to relist a discussion is best left to uninvolved experienced editors upon considering, but declining, to close the discussion. Preferably, a reason for the relist will be given. When a relisted discussion reaches a resolution, it may be closed at any time according to the closing instructions.
To relist a move request discussion, simply type <small>'''Relisted'''. ~~~~</small>
after the initial request. This can also be done by using {{subst:Relisting}}, which signs the relisting automatically. The RMCD bot uses the new timestamp to relist the entry on this page.
If discussion has become stale, or it seems that discussion would benefit from more input of editors versed in the subject area, consider more widely publicizing the discussion. One option is to notify relevant WikiProjects of the discussion using the template {{RM notification}}. Applicable WikiProjects can often be determined by means of the banners placed at the top of the talk page hosting the move request.

This list is also available in a page-link-first format.

- (Discuss) – Tor (anonymity network) → Tor – "Tor" is currently a disambiguation page. Because there are other move requests suggesting that a move would be desirable, and because this article gets lots of traffic and the other articles for "tor" do not, this article is the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC and so should occupy the title "Tor". - (Discuss) – Constance of Peñafiel → Constance Manuel – Article should be moved back to Constance Manuel, now a redirect page. Name in sources is Constance Manuel. Search in Googlebooks for Constanza de Peñafiel has 1,500 hits vs. 35,500 for Constanza Manuel. English wiki is the only one using Constance of Peñafiel. In most wikis it is Constance Manuel or Constance of Castile. --Maragm (talk) 13:12, 28 October 2015 (UTC) --Relisted. George Ho (talk) 07:45, 5 November 2015 (UTC)
- (Discuss) – Min Yongwhan → ? – Recently moved by Idh0854 (talk · contribs) from Min Yeong-hwan to Min Yongwhan. The new name is obviously wrong as it should be "hwan", not "whan". The standard for articles about Korean people seems to be to have a hyphen between the second and the third syllable, so I suggest that we restore the hypen. The question on whether the "e" should be restored is more subjective. Korean personal names tend to be transcribed to Roman letters in numerous different ways and both versions look valid. Maybe it's best to just undo the previous page move. Stefan2 (talk) 15:50, 28 October 2015 (UTC) --Relisted. George Ho (talk) 07:44, 5 November 2015 (UTC)

- (Discuss) – Agrupación de Fuerzas Especiales Antiterroristas Urbanas → Urban Counter-Terrorism Special Forces Group – The current title name in the english version of the page is still in Spanish ("Agrupación de Fuerzas Especiales Antiterroristas Urbanas"). It would be far more appropriate to change the title to its english name. The Best joke (talk) 00:14, 5 November 2015 (UTC)

- (Discuss) – Serbian nobility in the Middle Ages → Serbian nobility – The current situation is messed up because I tried but failed to make necessary moves. There are 121 new or old inbound links to "Serbian nobility" that used to go to the page now at "Serbian nobility in the Middle Ages" and again do now by a redirect to it. The disambiguation page Serbian nobility (disambiguation) page lists several perhaps-planned pages but is not needed. The only Serbian nobility page is "Serbian nobility in the Middle Ages", which should be moved to "Serbian nobility". If and when there is a well-developed section there on "Serbian nobility in the early Modern ages" or whatever, then such sections can be split off. This move request is to restore the one Serbian nobility list to the simplest possible title. --doncram 19:56, 4 November 2015 (UTC)

- (Discuss) – Nikhil Chandwani (Author) → Nikhil Chandwani – Original article title was salted due to multiple re-creations. The topic is likely only borderline-notable and needs more work, but has received some additional coverage in 2014 and 2015. With those changes, and recent cleanup of self-promotional puffery, the new article could probably be kept as short stub (or at least given a new AfD to evaluate the new situation, the last AfD was in 2011). - (Discuss) – Travel trailer → Caravan – I've never heard anyone refer to a caravan as a travel trailer. Maybe that term is used sparingly in the US and Canada (and that's a strong maybe), but in the UK, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand, they are always referred to as caravans. - (Discuss) – Zaim Imamović (musician) → Zaim Imamović – As even the most casual search (google:Zaim Imamović) would confirm, the musician is several orders of magnitude more notable than Zaim Imamović (officer). Per WP:TWODABS, he should get the undisambiguated title, and link the other article via a hatnote. No such user (talk) 15:43, 4 November 2015 (UTC)

- (Discuss) – The Diary of a Young Girl → The Diary of Anne Frank – I cannot believe I am the first person to file a requested move, but it appears from a close perusal of the talk page archives that aside from an abortive attempt in 2013, I am. Anyway, I suspect there will be arguments for and against, but in brief summary - a Google search brings up a mix of terms, but prominently I see that the official website refers to it as The Diary of Anne Frank, a BBC adaptation uses the same, as does a PBS piece (the PBS one is important as it shows me this isn't just another UK / US argument like
petrolgasoline), plus the various film adaptations suggest that this is the common name in English. Your thoughts, please. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 11:07, 4 November 2015 (UTC)

- (Discuss) – Wikipedia:WikiProject Men's Issues → Wikipedia:WikiProject Men's Rights – The portal for this project is named Men's rights. When the project was first proposed, the name was Wikipedia:WikiProject Council/Proposals/WikiProject Men's rights. Most discussions in the project use the term "men's rights" or "men's rights movement" instead of "men's issues". I also think that the current title may not be inviting to potential new contributors (for example, a hypothetical WikiProject Women's Issues may not be particularly inviting to women). sst✈ 16:16, 24 October 2015 (UTC) Relisted. - (Discuss) – Live! with Kelly and Michael → Live (talk show) – :Live has had many different hosts. Regis Philbin hosted the show for almost 30 years. Kathie Lee hosted for 15 years. Michael Strahan has only been around for 3 years. It doesn't make sense to use the name that has only been used for a relatively very short period of time. Since this article reflects the entire overview of the series and all of the different hosts that the show has had, it makes more sense to use a neutral title. - (Discuss) – Bullycide → Bullying and suicide – page was uncontroversially moved in November 2014; move was reverted in July 2015 for reasons I find unclear. I think the proposed move target is better in compliance with our policy on article titles, especially WP:PRECISION. The -cide terminology is inherently ambiguous as to whether the subject of the article is suicide by bullied persons or homicide of a bully. "Bullycide" is also a neologism to which WP:COMMONNAME applies, though the alternative proposed "X and Y" format naming is rather too apples and oranges to readily, quantitatively, compare. - (Discuss) – List of endangered species of the British Isles → List United Kingdom Biodiversity Action Plan species – Current name is highly misleading. Most of the species contained in the list are not listed as threatened or endangered by the IUCN. The list appears to be based on listing by the United Kingdom Biodiversity Action Plan which purports to list species that “as needing conservation and greater protection”. Some of those species may indeed be listed as endangered or threatened by the IUCN, but clearly it’s not all of those listed in the article. It was the presence of Brown trout in the lead of article that caught my attention. Here’s a species that is in no way endangered and listed as “of least concern” by the IUCN, yet it appears on a list of endangered species in the British Isles. A non-exhaustive sampling reveals other listed species that are in no way endangered—Grey partridge, House sparrow, Vipera berus, and Northern crested newt. If the name is not changed, the list should be paired down to those species that are truly listed as endangered. Mike Cline (talk) 00:18, 4 November 2015 (UTC)

- (Discuss) – Garcilaso de la Vega (chronicler) → Inca Garcilaso de la Vega – For starters this title is simply more recognizable than the current one: this person was and is widely known as "The Inca"/"El Inca" rather than as "chronicler". As such it should also fit the spirit of WP:COMMONNAME. Additionally, the proposed title is WP:NATURALDIS, which is generally preferable to a title with a parentheses, especially when that parentheses is less clear.
In previous discussions it was argued above that "Inca Garcilaso..." is offensive, but this doesn't seem to be true. It's actually how the subject signed his name: See p. 22 here. The name is used without caveat in a wide array of English-language sources referring to the subject:[7][8][9][10][11][12] In fact, it's so common that it's usually only avoided when context already provides "The Inca", for instance when speaking of "The Florida of The Inca by Garcilaso de la Vega" or "Garcilaso de la Vega and La Florida del Inca". In general it seems like a clearer, more accurate, and more common way of referring to the subject. Cúchullain t/c 21:38, 21 October 2015 (UTC) Relisted. Jenks24 (talk) 12:51, 3 November 2015 (UTC)

I have to emphasize that currently all parallel articles are named "intervention in the Syrian Civil War" - Jordanian intervention in the Syrian Civil War, Russian intervention in the Syrian Civil War, this American-intervention being an exception. Furthermore, all Foreign involvement in the Syrian Civil War articles are named "in the Syrian Civil War" - Turkish involvement in the Syrian Civil War, Russian involvement in the Syrian Civil War, Iranian involvement in the Syrian Civil War, Hezbollah involvement in the Syrian Civil War, Qatari involvement in the Syrian Civil War and Saudi Arabian involvement in the Syrian Civil War. The second paragraph of [21] also verifies this. Also, "Maine accent" is by far the more common name anyway, as a quick Google Scholar search can show. - (Discuss) – John V, Duke of Brittany → John IV, Duke of Brittany – Modern historiographical convention names these three individuals as John of Montfort; John IV, Duke of Brittany; and John V, Duke of Brittany. The current convention of numbering John of Montfort is a propaganda relic in specifically British history relating to the War of the Breton Succession. John of Montfort was never recognised as duke by the King of France, his overlord, and the title successfully was held by Charles, Duke of Brittany until his defeat and death in 1364, at which point John's son, John IV finally secured recognition from both the king of France and the king of England. Retaining the English numbering here is a Wikipedia anomaly and one that has divided and confused foreign language articles based on this topic. Significantly, though, both the French- and the Breton-language articles on this topic are clear in their numbering. In other words, the titling of these articles is primarily a legacy of the 1911 encyclopaedia that originally spawned them. - (Discuss) – 2015 Grand Prix motorcycle racing season → 2015 MotoGP season – Now that we have separate season articles for Moto2 and Moto3, I feel it make more sense to move the "2015 Grand Prix motorcycle racing season" page to "2015 MotoGP season". As the main article explains, Grand Prix motorcycle racing refers to all three categories combined, whereas this article is dedicated exclusively to the MotoGP world championship. Also, I think it's obvious that far more people looking for this article would search for "MotoGP" than the vague and incorrect "Grand Prix motorcycle racing". Also, for the "2015 Moto2 Series season" article and the Moto3 counterpart, is there a reason for having "Series" in the title, as if the official name was "Moto2 Series"? As far as I can tell, both FIM and the MotoGP organization simply use Moto2™ and Moto3™ as the official names. Here are some good examples from motogp.com and from FIM's website. In particular, from the updated FIM Road Racing World Championship Grand Prix Regulations, "Moto2" is used 141 times, yet "Moto2 Series" or "Moto2™ Series" are never mentioned. The same is true for Moto3. A quick Google search suggests that "Moto2 Series" and "Moto3 Series" (Series capitalized, not in the descriptive sense) are only used on Wikipedia and Wikipedia-related pages. In summary, I suggest the articles should be moved to "2015 MotoGP season", "2015 Moto2 season", and "2015 Moto3 season", as these are the simplest and most correct titles, meaning they will be the ones people will be more likely to search for. After all, these titles are already used in the current MotoGP overview template. The move would also apply to the 2014 and 2016 articles. Do U(knome)? yes...or no 23:15, 29 October 2015 (UTC)

- (Discuss) – Master of the Horse → Master of the horse – This is not about a specific office called Master of the Horse, which would be capitalised, but a generic category of offices in various different countries. There is therefore no need to capitalise it as it is not a proper name. Initial move disputed. Incidentally, despite the claim when it was moved back to the capitalised form, the "horse" in the title does not generally refer to the cavalry but to an archaic singular usage of horses, as this official was most commonly head of the royal stables. -- Necrothesp (talk) 10:33, 29 October 2015 (UTC)

- (Discuss) – Invictus Games (multi-sport event) → Invictus Games – Invictus Games is currently a disambiguation page, but only with two articles, so unnecessary. Invictus Games, as an international event promoted by Prince Harry and Michelle Obama, is the primary topic instead of the Hungarian company, which may not grow out of stub status. – —МандичкаYO 😜 00:02, 29 October 2015 (UTC)

- (Discuss) – Infante Peter, Count of Alburquerque → Peter of Aragon, Count of Alburquerque – Article should be moved back to Peter of Aragon, Count of Alburquerque, now a redirect page. Titles, with few exceptions, should not be used as the first part of a name since this leads to confusión and individuals are not as easy to find. Also, only in English wiki is the title used for this individual before his name. --Maragm (talk) 14:41, 28 October 2015 (UTC)
- (Discuss) – Blanche of Castile, Infanta of Portugal → Blanche of Castile (1315–1375) – Article should be moved back to Blanche of Castile (1315–1375), now a redirect page. The marriage to King Peter I of Portugal according to various sources used did not take place and, therefore, she should not be called Infanta of Portugal. --Maragm (talk) 13:20, 28 October 2015 (UTC)
- (Discuss) – Celtic Reconstructionist Paganism → Celtic reconstructionist paganism – Per MOS:DOCTCAPS; see also Polytheistic reconstructionism (not capitalized). These are common nouns, not proper names. The article even explicitly states that Celtic reconstructionism "is an umbrella term". The overcapitalization (not just of this term) needs also to be corrected in the article text. The fact that adherents to CR like to capitalize it as a self-identification doesn't mean that we should capitalize it encyclopedically; the entire point of MOS:DOCTCAPS is that adherents to any school of thought habitually tend to capitalize it when a general-audience publication would not. This sort of overcapitalization is especially the case, in this context, with Isaac Bonewits, an advocate of a particular brand of neo-druidry and of neopaganism generally, who is being over-cited in these articles; he capitalizes virtually everything to do with spirituality, as do many other specialized and non-neutral sources that represent neopagan advocacy. They may be reliable sources on what neopagans of various sorts believe spiritually, but they are not reliable sources on how to properly use English to encyclopedically write about them. — SMcCandlish ☺ ☏ ¢ ≽ʌⱷ҅ᴥⱷʌ≼ 18:05, 20 October 2015 (UTC) Relisted. - (Discuss) – Bethlehem Steel F.C. → Bethlehem Steel F.C. (1907–1930) – The original club has not been active since 1930. The newly formed team shouldn't need USL in parentheses as it's the only active club with that name. The changes would be inline with the system used for Vancouver Whitecaps. - (Discuss) – Binomial (polynomial) → Binomial – Also move Binomial to Binomial (disambiguation). These moves amounts to revert two recent moves. Some of the reasons appear in the preceding section. In summary, the subject of the article is clearly the WP:PRIMARY TOPIC, as it appears that, except for the subject of this article, "binomial" never occurs alone (as noun) in binomial (disambiguation). This is also supported by the very high number of mathematical articles that link to binomial. D.Lazard (talk) 14:34, 27 October 2015 (UTC)

- (Discuss) – Prince Gong (Qing dynasty) → Yixin, Prince Gong – The current title is imprecise, as there were other "Prince Gong"s in Qing dynasty, e.g. Changning (prince), Yuzhan etc. The Yixin, Prince Gong title would also be consistent with other Qing dynasty princes such as Yinzhi, Prince Cheng, Yinzhi, Prince Zhi, Yongqi, Prince Rong etc. Personally I would have preferred just Yixin, which also redirects to the page because it's WP:PRECISE and WP:NATURAL but there had been a discussion against it at Wikipedia_talk:Naming_conventions_(Chinese)/Archive_13#Late_Qing_Dynasty_Princely_titles. - (Discuss) – Coexist (album) → Coexist – The other two articles on the disambiguation page only have "coexist" in part of their titles. It is unlikely that readers searching for just "coexist" would be looking for these two articles. Also, this article has higher page views than the other two articles on the disambiguation page, making it the primary topic for "coexist". sst✈ 02:32, 17 October 2015 (UTC)--Relisted. - (Discuss) – Philippine Constitutional Convention election, 1970 → 1971 Philippine Constitutional Convention – Ideally there would be two articles, one about the election and one about the convention itself, but we do not live in an ideal world. There is only one article, this one, and it contains limited information related to the election itself. Most of the article involves the convention (including information that I added today :) ) or is a list of the delegates -- winners of the election -- which is just as applicable to a Convention article. An election article should have information about the non-winning candidates, deadlines and vote process, campaign tactics and issues, controversies, etc. -- in other words more than a list of delegates to the convention. Therefore I propose that this article be moved to the "Philippine Constitutional Convention, 1970" with a subsection specifically about the election with redirects pointing to that subsection, effectively combining the two topics (election and convention) into one article. The convention itself is more significant than the election since it was in the midst of the convention that martial law was declared and since the constitution that came out of the convention and the ratification process solidified and legitimatized Marcos's rule. When and if the election subsection has grown big enough then it can be spun off as a separate article. The page is protected and so I cannot WP:Be Bold and do the move and redirect myself. - (Discuss) – Liu Yan (Bosheng) → Liu Bosheng – The point of disambiguation is to not use confusing or hard-to-understand disambiguators, as the current title did. The history book Book of Later Han almost entirely uses his courtesy name "Bosheng" to refer him. If one insists on using his real given name, there's a problem with the character being able to be romanized as either "Yin" or "Yan" (see the section above on this talk page). Even if we disregard this problem, it's hard to find a really good disambiguator. Therefore I think Liu Bosheng is probably the best solution per WP:NATURAL. - (Discuss) – Complex affine space → Complex coordinate space – In my opinion, the content of the article complex affine space should be moved to complex coordinate space. Affine spaces do not have a linear structure, let alone a preferred coordinate system. They also lack an inner product. So the current article title, while it does refer to a thing in mathematics, does not match the thing described in the article. The move requires administrator tools. Sławomir
