The USSR Academy of Medical Sciences (Russian: Академия медицинских наук СССР) is the highest scientific and medical organization founded in the Soviet Union in 1944.[1]
Its successor is the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences founded in 1992.[2]

- from 1968 to 1977 – Vladimir Timakov
- from 1987 to 2006 – Valentin Pokrovsky
- from 2006 to the present day – Mikhail Davydov.
