Can you be my mentor please
Please. I have done so many violations on it that I need help fixing my mistakes. People are kinda worried because I'm not suppose to create categories. Maybe you could speak on my behalf. I'm wondering if you what categories are suitable to create and not suitable to create. I'm not banned yet you see; I just can't create categories I do have some mental health issues. Request your help in Post-it Notes page dispute
- Not exactly sure how to make this help request, but read you would be interested in helping resolve complex disputes.
A few Wikipedia editors over the last few years have been trying to introduce some factual (public 1997 Federal Court case records - AMRON vs 3M - and settlement reached) history onto both the ALAN AMRON and POST-IT NOTE Wikipedia pages.
Seems case law filed states Amron had in fact shown his invention of Press-on Memo in 1973 to 3M executives in 1974, when 3M then claimed to have invented it themselves. Without claiming or saying anything at all, at the very least Wikipedia should make the world aware of these historical facts about the invention of Post-it notes came from the invention of Press-on memo. I have, as you can see from my Talk on that Post-it note page, exhausted my efforts. If you could please read that talk page and suggest the correct wording to post that would allow the historical facts of the case and the settlement, the world will thank you. Post-it notes has a cult like following, and any facts about its origination or leading up to its creation is important. Wikipedia has become the place for one to find historical facts about anyone and or anything. Why not Post-it notes?
Up until today 3M has controlled and manipulated what is being said about who invented Post-it notes. Anyone else who trys gets knocked down.

- (by talk page stalker) Steve is very involved at Wikipedia Australia right now and doesn't come around much, so let me respond on his behalf. Let me suggest that you ask for that help at the Teahouse. Another option would be Editor assistance, but I think you're more likely to get what you're looking for at the Teahouse. Thank you for creating the dispute resolution noticeboard and your help there, for warning vandals and knowing a no-win situation, for an understanding for erring, - you are an awesome Wikipedian!

Hello Steven Zhang! I've noticed you around! I'm currently working on a project to bring as much of the wiki up to HTML5 compliance as I can. I've noticed that your signature uses some obsolete and deprecated elements, and I'm wondering if I can get you to update your signature. If you're willing to bring your signature up-to-date, I suggest replacing:
- with:
- which will result in a 243 character long signature with an appearance of: Steven Zhang Help resolve disputes!
- compared to your existing 221 character long signature of: Steven Zhang Help resolve disputes!
- — Either way. Happy editing! — {{U|Technical 13}} (e • t • c) 17:58, 3 November 2014 (UTC)

DRN needs assistance
You are receiving this message because you have listed yourself as a volunteer at the Dispute Resolution Noticeboard.
We have a backlog of cases there which need volunteer attention. If you have time available, please take one or more of these cases.
If you do not intend to take cases or help with the administration of DRN on a regular basis, or if you do not wish to receive further notices of this nature, please remove your username from the volunteer list. If you later decide to resume activities at DRN you may relist your name at that time.

Questions
As one involved in SPIs, can you answer the following questions please.
1. If a checkuser spontaneously blocks a named account as a sock, with no SPI and no other discussion at all, should the blocked account be tagged as "confirmed" or as "suspected"?
2. Should a normal administrator (non-checkuser) blocking a named account ever tag it as "confirmed" when there has been no SPI and no checkuser involvement? 94.196.210.161 (talk) 22:12, 5 March 2015 (UTC)
- Just for the record, answered here after being cross-posted to 11 users' talk pages. Regards, TransporterMan (TALK) 21:40, 6 March 2015 (UTC) (talk page stalker)
Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Beh-nam/Archive
Somewhere I think there needs to be a note stating that User:LouisAragon has been split off from his as he is not related to Beh-nam and has his own SPI Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/LouisAragon/Archive. I've just unblocked him following a BASC appeal and am a bit concerned someone might once again try to link him to Beh-nam. Thanks. Oh, ping me if you reply, ok? Dougweller (talk) 16:23, 22 April 2015 (UTC)
- @Dougweller: - not sure if this has already been addressed - but I can strikeout/leave a comment on the Beh-nam SPI case noting the two aren't linked? Steven Zhang Help resolve disputes! 03:32, 27 April 2015 (UTC)

Bad token error
Hi Steve, I am trying to use the form for dispute resolution but when I enter all information and try to submit the form I get "badtocken" error popup in the browser. Any idea what's wrong? I am using Chrome, is this browser supported? Thanks in advance, Wiki-shield (talk) 11:38, 23 May 2015 (UTC)
- Chrome is supported - next time that happens please email me a screenshot. Thanks. Steven Zhang Help resolve disputes! 06:34, 30 May 2015 (UTC)

DRN coordinator
Hi Steve, welcome back! I probably don't need to say this but bear with me and let me get this off my chest.......... Last time as DRN coord you disappeared in the middle of your term without prior notice and it caused a bit of disruption. You did post a notice saying you were bailing out but only after being gone for about 2 weeks as I remember it. In any case because you are such a responsible person I have to think that you were facing a whole lot of real life stuff and it was the best you could do. But I'm mentioning it just in case. I have great respect for you as the founder of the DR noticeboard. I look forward to working together!. Best Wishes, -- — Keithbob • Talk • 18:40, 1 June 2015 (UTC)
- That's fair enough. At that time, yes, things came up which meant I couldn't dedicate the time I wanted (and the role needed) to be the co-ordinator, and I did leave things in a bit of a lurch at that stage - sorry about that. Things are a little better now and I'm getting a bit better at separating my time spent on chapter work to time doing personal wiki-editing. But thank you for sharing your concerns with me, and I take them on board (congrats on being on MedCom, by the way! :) ) Steven Zhang Help resolve disputes! 03:27, 2 June 2015 (UTC)
WV_NYC Case
It is incorrectly written up, and should really be called Pearl S. Buck. It does appear to have had adequate discussion, but needs to be retitled. Robert McClenon (talk) 03:11, 2 June 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks for letting me know, I've updated it accordingly. Steven Zhang Help resolve disputes! 03:16, 2 June 2015 (UTC)
Bangalore Case
My advice on this case is to do a general close. It appears that the filing party is trying to use DRN to override a failed Requested Move. RM isn't listed as one of the usual dispute resolution mechanisms, but is sort of a specialized RFC, and DRN certainly doesn't outrank RM. Maybe I have misread it, but it looks like an attempt to bypass a failed RM. Robert McClenon (talk) 18:34, 2 June 2015 (UTC)
- I agree (please note I'm in Aus so timezones mean I don't always get to things as quick as you guys!). I'll comment there and close. Steven Zhang Help resolve disputes! 23:51, 2 June 2015 (UTC)
Hi, I am the new user of Wikipedia, I am not aware of Requested Move. You are unnecessarily suspecting me of an failed RM. Which I have not initiated at all. I do not how it appears to you, when I have not done it at all. Now I will initiate the RM. — Preceding unsigned comment added by AVINHSN (talk • contribs) 17:58, 3 June 2015 (UTC)
Hi, I have raised the RM in Bangalore talk page. I have also suggested an workaround for the issue, where I hope that no one would object any more. Intention is not to remove Bangalore wiki page but to introduce new Bengaluru wiki page itself. As you are the expert wiki contributor, I request for your help and guidance. — Preceding unsigned comment added by AVINHSN (talk • contribs) 18:52, 3 June 2015 (UTC)
