Please update this if I have my grammar right!
My bot, EditorBot, was for approval at Wikipedia:Bots/Requests for approval/EditorBot, but it failed. The Bot account is reserved, however, and whether or not it will ever be used remains a mystery.
Welcome to my user page. You really should be editing right now. So why are you wasting your time reading this sentence? I could just go on an on about myself, but why should I? Since you are still here right now, I will welcome you under this comfy blanket.
Apparently only 56 Wikipedians have created more articles than me.

I started editing under this account shortly after the New Year, 2008, after editing under an IP for a while. My username is derived from that of User:Destroyerofthewiki, a sockpuppet of User:DavidYork71. Instead of destroying the wiki, I want to edit it, and I would have chosen a better username, but all the good ones are taken. I think that I did quite well with what's left, don't you think?
My 1,000th edit was an edit to User talk:Friday on February 13, 2008 about my Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/Wikipedia:Proposed deletion (which closed as snowball but I decided to give it a shot).
I am an active member of Wikipedia:WikiProject Earthquakes. I don't really have much of a liking of these destructive ruptures, in case you're wondering. They are pretty fun to write about however. My time there has not been wasted: I basically wrote FA 2002 Bou'in-Zahra earthquake (with some copyediting help and some small additions, mostly from from User:LordSunday) and GA 1992 Nicaragua earthquake (also written from scratch--this was speedied while a stub!).
I will tell you nothing about my personal life, since I don't know who you are, except I am a male human from the Planet Earth who was born sometime in the 20th century.
I am a bit of a linguist, as demonstrated by my languageboxes below:

Wikipedia has many places to ask questions, including the...
Sometimes, a user will post a query and forget to return to check for the answer. It is easy to forget about these unless you keep a record of the questions you posted to refer back to later. One useful method for doing this is to set aside a section of your user page, or create a subpage of your user page, to keep a list of links to your queries. In your list, place section links which lead directly to the subheadings under which you posted your queries. This method applies equally well for any issue that requires follow-up. Today's featured article
On April 4, 1955, a United Airlines Douglas DC-6 crashed (similar aircraft pictured) shortly after taking off from Long Island MacArthur Airport, in the U.S. community of Ronkonkoma in Islip, New York. The aircraft, named Mainliner Idaho, began banking to the right after takeoff, then swerved 90 degrees, nosedived, and hit the ground, killing all three crewmembers. An investigation found that they had been simulating an engine failure on an instrument rating check flight, but had pulled back the throttle lever for engine No. 4 too far, causing the propeller blades to reverse, a feature normally used only to slow the aircraft during landing. They had also failed to raise a metal flag in the cockpit that would have allowed the blades to return to the proper position during flight. Investigators from the Civil Aeronautics Board concluded that crew lost control of the aircraft when they applied full power to No. 4 engine, and that the sudden bank and dive left the crew little time to recover from their mistake. After the investigation, the Civil Aeronautics Administration issued an Airworthiness Directive ordering all United Douglas DC-6 and DC-6B aircraft to be fitted with a manual device to prevent the inadvertent reversal of the blades.
