Wikipedia-applicable food for thought: "...bear in mind that majorities, especially respectable ones, are nine times out of ten in the wrong; and that if you see man or boy striving earnestly on the weak side, however wrong-headed or blundering he may be, you are not to go and join the cry against him. If you can't join him and help him, and make him wiser, at any rate remember that he has found something in the world which he will fight and suffer for..." – Thomas Hughes in Tom Brown's Schooldays

You unblocked ISeeEwe. If you were serious about keeping them "on an incredibly short leash" as regards following WP:CIVIL, you may be interested in this edit. Bishonen | talk 06:09, 14 August 2014 (UTC).
- Saw that edit shortly after he made it and almost re-pulled the trigger. The comment was three days ago, so to re-block now would be at least partially punitive. I think Robert's note cuts it from an administrative standpoint. I will keep an eye on it; he hasn't edited in three days. Thanks as always, Bishonen. Go Phightins! 11:47, 14 August 2014 (UTC)

Unresolved ANI issue
Howdy, so my ANI report about Avenger2015 went unresolved and has since been archived. Do you have any suggestions for how to remedy this? I think this was the last state of the discussion. Much appreciated, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 22:03, 18 August 2014 (UTC)
- Sorry about that. Let me consult a few admins as to an appropriate COA. Thanks. Go Phightins! 22:06, 18 August 2014 (UTC)
- Much obliged. And here is yet another blank cast list, which, if filled out, would again be redundant with the existing character list in the article. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 22:22, 18 August 2014 (UTC)

- Thank you, hopefully that will convince them to be a bit more community-minded. It's always frustrating when editors decide to do their own thing. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 17:35, 19 August 2014 (UTC)

Lucia Black topic ban clarification
Hi, Go Phightins! I have some concerns regarding the topic ban you enacted on Lucia Black (talk · contribs), as it encompasses all Japanese entertainment. As a clarification, does the ban include all articles related to the WP:ANIME and WP:VG projects (I'm also a participant of these projects as well) or participation in discussions related to the projects? Also, considering the fact that I had no problems with the user in question when collaborating with her on some articles that I did, would it be much easier if I continue the work alone? Thanks, Lord Sjones23 (talk - contributions) 00:18, 20 August 2014 (UTC)
- Hi Sjones. To answer your question, most of her editing related to video games has been in anime and manga-related capacities, and as such, they are certainly included in the ban. Hypothetically, if she were to edit an article on Grand Theft Auto, for example, that would not necessarily fall within the topic ban. I doubt she plans to edit, so for all intensive purposes the ban includes all video game articles she has shown a propensity to edit. I hope this answers your question. And yes, the ban is for all "pages", which does include discussions. Go Phightins! 00:58, 20 August 2014 (UTC)
- I completely understand your point now. Thanks, Lord Sjones23 (talk - contributions) 01:04, 20 August 2014 (UTC)
- No problem. Thanks for checking in. Go Phightins! 01:05, 20 August 2014 (UTC)
- I'm sorry, but this is literally the worst thing possible for me....i have made small contributions to such articles, but they are literally without my expertice.....and i have lost all motivation. so please....just site ban me now, because i have nothing to offer outside japanese-related articles. my passion was japanese media....and i have absolute no motivation. Lucia Black (talk) 01:42, 20 August 2014 (UTC)
- Hello Phightins. Rather then dispute the close outright, instead I would like to understand how you arrived at a conclusion for the manga and video game topic ban. I originally proposed this topic ban, but I then retracted this proposal as on some extra thought and from various editors' comments I felt that in fairness to Lucia that a broadening of the topic ban was rather punitive. Regards Blackmane (talk) 18:45, 20 August 2014 (UTC)
- Hi Blackmane. My job, when closing a thread, is to evaluate the consensus and implement (assuming it egregiously violates no policies), regardless of whether I agree with it. Ultimately, I formed no opinion on whether this was the right course of action, just that there was a consensus for it. If you read point #3 in my close, you will see my thought process in finding a consensus for a topic ban. Regardless of who initially proposed the idea, I found a consensus for it. If you think I was wrong (which I may be), you are welcome to join the closure review I began. Thanks. Go Phightins! 20:35, 20 August 2014 (UTC)
