Huggle 3 is coming (but slowly): now even with the instant reverts, more cookies and for Linux and Mac OS
We would like to announce that the development of Huggle 2x has been stopped for inclusion of new features; support of the tool will remain for at least 3 months after the release of Huggle 3.0, which means that bugs will be resolved, while implementation of new features will be postponed to the next version which will replace the current version.
Huggle 3 is written in C# and the main changes are: compatibility with Linux and Mac OS, scripting interface, better performance and many other features (including those requested by you). We are all concentrating on the development of this version; however, the release date of the first beta version should not be sooner than end of 2012, while the stable version should be ready a few months after that, but if more people joined the team, everything could change!
UPDATE: The development is actually going on far slower as there are actually only 2 guys working on this project, both non-paid volunteers with little amount of time. Keep in mind that despite the team is slow, it's quite friendly and there are no extra requirements for one to become a huggle developer. So in case you have some knowledge of programming and you would like to speed up the development, don't hesitate and contact Petrb (talk · contribs) - Thanks!
Beta testing
If you would like to become a beta tester of huggle, please insert yourself to the list of project members (with beta tester as function) and you will be automatically notified in email / message every time when beta version would be released. Don't forget to send all feedback related to beta versions to issue tracker!
