WikiProject Universities aims to improve the coverage of universities and colleges on Wikipedia. Please feel free to join our project by adding your name at the List of participants and including this page on your watchlist.
About the project
Goals
- Standardize the structure and content of all college and university articles
- Represent the interests of colleges and universities and ensure their articles' compliance with Wikipedia's five pillars
- Improve the coverage of university articles, propelling them to featured article status
- Serve as the central resource for all discussions and information related to colleges and universities
Task forces and sub-projects
Task forces are meant to provide centralized information and a discussion area for topics that have a sufficiently large scope, but that would not benefit from having a separate WikiProject with all of the additional work that would involve. Currently, the only task force is Student Affairs task force.
Geographic areas, athletic conferences, or individual institutions with multiple pages and the interest of several active Wikipedians may become the subject of a sub-project. Propose the new project on the WikiProject Universities talk page or at the WikiProject Council to make sure there is enough interest before starting a new project. See the related projects section for examples.
National differences
University and college systems vary to a great degree between different countries. Here are some good practice-adaptations of WikiProject Universities for different countries:

- Griffith University: Would like some assistance in improving this page and its content. Could we review it and help me improve it? JonathanMecha3 (talk) 01:51, 10 December 2010 (UTC)
- Maharishi University of Management. I wonder if we could have an outside neutral eye look at this article. Weight seems to be more towards the pejorative than in other articles on university articles I've looked at. For example, the section on the research and NIH grants is far smaller than the section on negative responses to the research and university. As the article expands an outside eye may help determine what kind of content and how much should be added. Thanks very much for the look.(olive (talk) 01:47, 16 December 2010 (UTC))
- Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode has not been reviewed. A review would be appreciated. Thank You. Shekure (talk) 10:46, 20 May 2011 (UTC)
- Gloucester County College: I would greatly appreciate a peer review of this page, including advice for improvements and a possible promotion from stub-class to start-class. Thanks very much! Allens (talk) 05:39, 4 November 2011 (UTC)
- Appalachian State University - A few other editors any myself have been slowly overhauling this page. I know it still needs a lot of work but I'm not entirely sure what I could do. I would really appreciate a peer review to help identify what improvements can be made. DavidSSabb (talk) 18:44, 26 May 2012 (UTC)
