Career
The Hot Chocolate albums were produced by Mickie Most and recorded at the RAK Records. Brown has had a solo career since the 1980s, and achieved music success in the clubs with the 1987 single "Body Rocking", produced by Richard James Burgess.
The 1990s saw Brown slip into the background, driving around South West London in his Porsche, and spending his time in the bridge clubs in Esher. He has two daughters who went together to school at the Guildhall School of Music, and at the Lady Eleanor Holles School in Hampton. It is the Hot Chocolate single, "You Sexy Thing" in 1997's movie The Full Monty, that brought Brown and Hot Chocolate back into the limelight.
In February 2009, Brown came out of retirement to perform 'The Farewell Tour' in the UK. He finished his set by performing a newly recorded track, "Thank You for The Night".
Brown owns some National Hunt horses, including the winner Gainsay, both at the Cheltenham Festival and Grand National.[2]
