Wikipedia Reward Board |
---|
Active requests WikiProject Wikipedia Awards |
The reward board is an informal page where users who want a specific task related to Wikipedia (such as the promotion of an article to featured article status or the editing of an image) can offer a reward to editors willing to take on the task. The execution and details of the transaction are the responsibility of the participating parties, and the reward can be monetary, goods (books, cookies, etc.), barnstars, or tit-for-tat editing (like improving another article).
Reward board is similar to the Bounty board; however, instead of a donation to the Wikimedia Foundation, payment is made directly to a specific editor.
The Wikimedia Foundation is not hiring and no payments are made by the Foundation. This is purely a page for editors to offer rewards to other editors. Challenges may remain open for a maximum duration of one year. After that period of time, the challenge will be moved to expired requests; however, the author of the challenge may repost the challenge with a new expiration period. The aim of this policy is to keep the board clutter-free, ensure editors are available to fulfill such challenges, and to ensure the challenges are still valid.
See Wikipedia:Conflict of interest for information about monetary compensation and possible conflicts of interest.
How to offer a reward
If you would like to offer a reward such as the ones below, simply add an entry below. Add all the details that you feel are relevant to the reward, in a format similar to this pattern:
===Reward title=== *'''Offeror''': ~~~ *'''Date offered''': ~~~~~ *'''Request''': What needs to be done to claim the award. *'''Reward''': The reward you are offering. *'''Limit on rewards''': In the case of possible multiple rewards, any limit set. *'''Expires''': Date until which your offer is valid. Max expiration date is one year from offer date.
In the case of a monetary offer, please specify country currency. Numerous countries use the same symbols.
Please place new entries in chronological order of expiration. See Wikipedia:Reward board fulfilled requests for past rewards.

- I was going to review on a daily pattern, but if you give one for each reviewer's total efforts, then I'd rather the award waited till I'd done my full part. :) Wilhelmina Will (talk) 00:41, 20 October 2011 (UTC)

Add C-SPAN Video Library to External links
- Offeror: WWB Too (talk)
- Date offered: 16:21, 8 February 2012 (UTC)
- Request: Help add specific interviews from the C-SPAN Video Library to External links on articles where they belong, but do not now exist. To facilitate the process, I have compiled 185 pre-formatted snippets in the {{C-SPAN}} and {{CongLings}} templates, on this page in my userspace: User:WWB Too/C-SPAN ELs
- Please note, in some cases there is no current template in place, so adding it is a very simple thing. In many cases, however the template is already in use, but the C-SPAN link is not filled in. In these cases, I have included all parameters listed at the time of review (late 2011) so you should check that adding in the prepared snippet does not remove any information; if any new parameters have been added, please include them as well. See the Notes column on the project page for more details.
- Reward: Editors adding at least one (1) link are entitled to display this barnstar-inspired personal award. Editors who adds a minimum of ten (10) links are entitled to display the award and may be eligible to receive a free C-SPAN baseball cap (click links for images). Contact me on my user Talk page for more details.
- Limit on rewards: In the case of the C-SPAN baseball cap, we can only send to U.S. addresses. 15 hats available. Limit one per individual editor.
- Expires: 31 December 2012
