Rexona (known as Sure in the UK and Ireland,Degree in the USA and Rexena in Japan and Korea) is a deodorant brand manufactured by Anglo Dutch company Unilever. It was developed in 1908 by an Australian pharmacist and his wife. Currently, Rexona has at least 8 lines of deodorant. Each line features a specific quality sought in deodorants. For example, there is a formula to eliminate white marks on dark clothing and a product line developed for low-income consumers. Rexona products are created with "body-responsive technology." Rexona scientists recently noted that the body produces two types of sweat, one from over-heating and another from emotional stress. These two types of sweat generate different chemicals and odors from different glands in the body. Cooling sweat is created all over the body, but sweat from emotional strain is created in fewer, more specific sites, including under the arms. Rexona has a formula to address both types of sweat. The over-heating sweat formula was tested on people in a sauna. The emotional stress sweat was tested on people interrogated in a mean and fast-paced manner to answer riddles and sums.
The brand Rexona also exists in India as a significant player in the toilet soaps segment. It was launched in 1947 to counter the threat of Hamam, then a TATA product but now a part of Hindustan Unilever Ltd. Rexona soap has stood for silky soft skin through natural ingredients route, especially Coconut oil which has existed in the product for several decades now.

Animal Testing
Unilever's position on animal testing does not rule out testing its products on animals. Whereas Rexona is tested on humans, it is not certain as to whether or not animals are tested with the products first. Unilever claims to discourage animal testing and to have strict internal control procedures to reduce animal testing, however, they do test on animals when they find no other means to test their products. Unilever claims to be developing alternative methods to eliminate animal testing at an undetermined time in the future.
Commercials
There are several commercials that became very famous among users in the Philippines and the UK. One is the First Day Funk by Parokya ni Edgar and another is the First Day High by Kamikazee. Then the show Bubble Gang made notable spoofs of the product, naming it Sexona.The another one is the Sistah Fun. The Stunt City commercial filmed in Australia for the UK audience won a Gold Lion at Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival in 2005. In 2008 Rexona Mexico won the Silver Cyber Lion with the letssavefermin.com campaign.

Degree is a brand of antiperspirant for men and women that is manufactured by Unilever. It comes in stick, gel, and spray forms. The classic "stick" form often comes with slogans pressed into the deodorant itself by the protective seal. For example, the "Cool Rush" variety comes with the slogan "TAKE THE RISK".
