Patrick Beverley (July 12, 1988Chicago, Illinois) is an American professional basketball player. He was selected by the Los Angeles Lakers in the 2009 NBA Draft and then traded to the Miami Heat for a future 2011 second round draft pick and an undisclosed amount of cash. He played college basketball for 2 seasons (2006–08) for the Arkansas Razorbacks, and left the team as a sophomore. Then in the 2008–09 season, he played in the Ukrainian Second Division with Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk prior to being drafted. He currently plays with the Greek pro club Olympiacos Piraeus in the Euroleague.

College career
Freshman (2006–07)
Beverley ranked first on his team in scoring (13.9 ppg), steals (1.7 spg), three-point percentage (.386) and free-throw percentage (.812). He also ranked second on his team in assists (3.1 apg) and third in rebounding (4.5 rpg). He started 34 of 35 games, scoring in double figures 24 times, and scoring more than 20 points five times.[1] He scored a career-high 29 points in his collegiate debut[1] in a 92–52 win over against Southeast Missouri State, also adding five rebounds, four assists, and four steals, while shooting 11-for-13 from the field and 6-for-7 from three point range.[2] He had a career-high seven assists against Texas, while also adding eight rebounds and 19 points.[1]
Sophomore (2007–08)
Beverley ranked first on his team in rebounding (6.6 rpg), steals (1.3 spg) and three-point percentage (37.8), while also ranking second in points (12.1 ppg) and third in assists (2.4 apg). He started 33 of 35 games, scoring in double figures 22 times.[3] He scored a season-high 27 points on 9-for-11 shooting against Auburn, while also adding eight rebounds and four steals.[3] He grabbed a season-high 15 rebounds against LSU, while also adding 14 points.[3]
European career
Beverley joined Dnipro of the Ukrainian Second Division for the 2008–09 season. He played in 46 games, averaging a team-high 35.8 minutes per game. He led the team in assists (3.6 apg), steals (2.2 spg), and three-point percentage (.380), while ranking second in scoring (16.7 ppg) and rebounding (7.0 rpg). He scored a season-high 31 points against Polytekhnika-Halychyna Lviv, while also adding 10 rebounds. He grabbed a season-high 16 rebounds in a playoff game against Odessa. He had a season-high nine assists, along with 14 rebounds and 21 points against Hoverla. On August 26, 2009, he signed with the Greek A1 League team Olympiacos Piraeus.
Beverley will play for the Miami Heat in the NBA Summer League in 2010.[4]

Beverley is the son of Patrick Bracy and Lisa Beverley. He majored in Criminal Justice. He has a son Everett Williams-Beverley with Tumeka and a daughter old Adlaia Beverley with Tierra, both of Arkansas .
